• 2dy4 (8/5): Very fairly priced roomy family room but could use some maintenance - The family room is really roomy, it has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet. There is a washing machine and the kitchen is adequate, complete with dishwasher and refrigerator with freeze area. There is enough living space for 6 persons. There are no kitchen towels, soap, brushes, etc. You'll have to buy them in a nearby grocery store. The fridge was missing the door on the freezer part, which caused half the area of the fridge to be frozen. There are not enough plates, pots and pans, cups and glases, and utensils, there is only for 2 persons available. To replace bedding and towels you will have to ask the staff, same for cleaning of the room. The pool, sauna and fitness area are in disrepair and there is rust and dust everywhere. The temperature in the room was 27 degrees, the friendly owner showed me the main central heating valve in the utility room to shutdown the hot water flow myself...

Although it is supposed to be a non-smoking property, the rooms towels and sheets, all smelled of smoke The air conditioning and fan works sporadically, the apartment was dirty, and not maintained It was very convenient having a washing machine, but there was really nowhere to hang wet clothing and only a few hangers in the closet. The drying rack was broken. No hot water in bathroom sink. Shower head works but doesn’t hang up. Nice to have a refrigerator but freezer section was frozen solid. No dishes stocked in the kitchen but they brought up a bin. The reception desk staff were helpful and polite.

• Martin (5/5): Poor maintenance and sloppy service - Zin D Home is in Çekmeköy, a residential area of Istanbul. There are other Zin D hotels in the area so be careful with the address when using a taxi. There is very limited parking on the surrounding streets. There are various types of suites and our group of friends had different ones. Kitchens included a small dishwasher and fridge. Bathrooms were clean and had adequate toiletries and soft towels. We asked for extra blankets, but the AC unit does offer warm air. Reception staff were efficient and booked taxi or Uber lifts efficiently. There is a supermarket next door, a cafe bakery across the road and within a short walk are local restaurants and coffee shops. Cleaning was hit and miss. No idea how this is scheduled, but ask and it was done. The small lift worked fine, but stairs were frequently blocked by bedding or rubbish bags. Public areas were not that clean. The indoor pool water was warm, but the air temperature was cool. The pool surroundings seemed clean, but there was a lot of flakey paint in this basement area. The gym machines needed maintenance. Staff smoking at the front door means reception smells of stale cigarette smoke This was a convenient location for us, but next time in Istanbul I will look for somewhere different to stay.

• Noshin (6/5): Budget friendly hotel - the property was calm there reception service. i booked this hotel a few months ago and they said that i could check in any time. but the main checking day they message me on whatsapp that please message another number if i come after 11 pm. then i contacted again the another number he said contact the previous one! so much uncertainty. Also there was no hair dryer on the room also tissue :| Also the pool is not much nice

Overall it is ok value Rooms not cleaned until after three days when we requested it. Then the toilet bin was emptied but there was no toilet paper left in bathroom. Awkward! Fancy electronic control send looked good but didn’t appear to work. Toilet in a narrow gap between wall and shower room. Only one full size coffee cup (although there were Turkish coffee cups) Only one set of ceiling lights worked. The lift only goes to 3rd floor and stairs to the 4th floor which were dark at night

No lighting in either, gym equipment not set up (more like it had been abandoned) and there was water over the floor near the gym area. • Hoda (3/5): Overal 3 out of 5 - Some personal were helpful and nice It was not very clean. I got 3 apartments for me and my family. The room that they show me on the first day was the best and I was told the rest are on other floors as they don’t have three 2 bedrooms apartment in the same floor. Then I figured there are at least three 2 bedroom apartment in each floor! I could tell based on the room numbers on each level. Our apartments were on different levels and only the first one that they showed me was good. The second one was on the same floor but the air conditioner was not working, strong smoking smell, the drain was not working , there were mold on the bathroom, after 2 days they couldn’t fix the air conditioner and they had to move my family to another floor. The furniture was much older and full of stain. The last one on level -1. It was so dark, the lock was not working, it had all the humidity due to the swimming pool on the level -2. They told me there is no other room that they can move them except the one with only 1 bathroom so they stayed the whole 11 days on the same unit. There was no daily cleaning only every3 days and only if you ask for it. it was just vacuuming the kitchen and family room and taking the trash, nothing more. No cleaning inside the bedrooms or restrooms or bringing extra tissue or … No daily tissue paper or shampoo or soap… most of the staff were friendly and was trying to help but communication was so difficult as except one or two of them they didn’t know English at all (not even the numbers in English) and they use translator tools to communicate but they were nice and tried to help. However sometimes they weren’t helpful like I asked one of them that the pool is so cold and how can we warm it up and she told us that the pool temperature is like this and it cannot be warmed up, but the another one help us increase the temperature. Pool was so small and not very clean you can go to the pool area with your shoes on!!
• Mansour (5/5): Good value for money, but unfriendly staff.. - It is reasonably priced, rooms spacious, overall good value for money. Washing machine is life saver. Parking can be available but you may park a little far. Staff were not cooperative. I had terrible experience checking in, receptionist cannot understand English, and despite showing booking receipt, they had difficulty finding it in their system. I arrived at exactly 2, but room was not ready! It took two and a half hours to get in my room. Cleaning is done once every 3 days. Amenities given at that time not earlier. Room door was not locking, so anyone could enter! They have to hammer the lock in place, and small hit on the lock would displace them. I parked my car in front of bus stop (written in turkish with no signs) but no one informed me about it, and next day I found my car towed.

• Pawel (6/5): Not bad but the staff could do much better - As it is budget accommodation I didn't expected much from it, generally everything what you need for few days stay. -check in was terrible. Informed the property in advance that I will arrive after 23:00, so I was informed that I should make payment before 22:00 to be accommodated at night so I did it. After arrival, nobody was present at reception and when calling phone number provided at reception desk nobody answered for 10 mins, then they needed another 15mins to explain me that my key card is in a locker in lobby... so simply I had to spend 25mins in the middle of night with a 4 year old child at the reception trying to get access to the room. Why nobody provide me that info earlier on by text message, don't have idea. -big problem with parking, specially at evening and night, the property doesn't have designated parking space, just on-street parking.

• Anonymous (9/5): Love the area, very quiet and clean apartments. - Nice and clean room and quiet place,plenty of space in the bedroom and the living room🙂. Toiletry is very good and is enough for all families, love the little sewing kit, it came in handy 🙂. The bakery front of the apartment has such good food and is so yummy! Love the fresh bread and baklava 💯. The staff was also very friendly and the cleaner was very nice. The pool is so cold and too deep for children.
