• Nur (10/5): Very Good Choice - The location is excellent, the rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is quite sufficient and delicious. But most importantly, Gemma is a truly wonderful host. Friendly, attentive, and helpful. If I were to go to Naples again, I would definitely want to stay here again. The drain in our friend's room shower was a bit problematic. It would be great if that part could be fixed.

Gemma was really helpful in advance to explain how to get there, and helped us with an airport transfer on departure. She also gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and ideas for our trip. Room was comfortable, appreciated kettle for making our own tea in the evening. Breakfast was delicious and she makes an excellent cappucino. We visited in winter and the room was cosy and warm.

You’re close to everything here and tucked away on the roof away from the noise of the city. Absolutely lovely stay! The furniture wasn’t the cleanest.

A localização é muito boa, bem perto de bares, restaurantes e pontos turísticos, dá pra fazer tudo a pé. Mas adorei sobretudo o atendimento impecável da Gemma, profissional e acolhedora, sempre pronta a ajudar. Não é exatamente que não gostei, mas os hóspedes devem prestar atenção nas particularidades da hospedagem como as escadas, então se tem muitas malas ou dificuldade de locomoção pode não ser o locar ideal. Entendo que grande parte dos napolitanos vivem em prédios desse tipo, então fiquei feliz em vivenciar um pouquinho o estilo de vida napolitano.

She is a wealth of knowledge and shared great tips and answered all our questions about Naples. My wife and I had a fabulous time and a really rich and enriching experience. we liked it all

She went above and beyond with our room and booking, walking us through maps of the area and events happening during our stay. She was also so kind and playfor with our 1 year old, giving her toys and making her a balloon animal. Breakfast was tailored and delicious. Overall a fantastic stay.

Great hostess, very kind to let us check out 3 hours later without any extra cost. 3 bed bedroom, not always easy to find these days and for a reasonable price. It is a BnB of course, but breakfast could have more options. It should be noted that you have to take the lift to the 3d floor, for which you should pay for 20 cents. Then there are some steps more to reach the terrace.

• Marja (10/5): uitstekende B&B op zeer centrale locatie - uitstekende B&B met gastvrije ontvangst. We kregen goede info over de omgeving. Ook wist ze meteen een winkel aan te wijzen waar wij onze (vergeten) oplader konden vervangen. De locatie is perfect: bussen en metro op het plein. Op loopafstand van de Via dei Trubunali en het Archeologisch museum. De entree is, zoals al vaker beschreven, wat lastig: na de lift volgen er nog wat trappetjes die met een koffer of na een lange dag lopen nogal tegenvallen. De airco op de kamer is prima. Goed uitgeruste kamer en badkamer, brandschoon. Het ontbijt is heel goed. Tot genoegen van mijn partner ook hartig beleg! Als ik dan toch iets moet noemen: de stoeltjes op de kamer zitten niet echt lekker.

Naples est une ville bouillonnante et très bruyante mais une fois dans notre chambre, nous étions au calme ! Notre chambre était spacieuse, très propre, et avec la clim. Le petit déjeuner était somptueux !

While the rooms themselves are lovely, the biggest perk of La Gemma is the owner, who went above and beyond to give us a good experience. She was a wealth of information in terms of navigating the city, and she bakes home made cakes for breakfast. She even went as far to pack us a bag of breakfast for our early train.

Same room both nights. Location directly on Piazza Dante and Dante Metro stop. Hostess Gemma exceptionally gracious and helpful with information about getting around Naples and restaurant suggestions. Everything super clean. Good breakfast options. Only caution; elevator to 3rd floor, but then 30 steps to roof top terrace and entrance to rooms. Carry-on bags, not a problem, larger bags for longer stay or older travelers (we qualified on both) a challenge. Fortunate for us Gemma’s significant other, Fabio, was around to help. A little hard to get up the last flight of stairs but Gemma really helped out. Would have been fine if we packed lighter.

We had such a fantastic time and our stay was made all the better by the kindness and advice of Gemma who looked after us really well. Our room was clean and tidy and had aircon together with a nice en suite bathroom. The breakfasts were perfect for us and we would definitely stay here again. The only thing we did not like was having to come home !

• Julia (10/5): Overall great experience. - Everything was great! Gemma is a great host - very helpful and welcoming. The b&b is very well located if you’re taking the metro or even walking by foot. Breakfast is plentiful, as you fill out a form with what you wish to have each morning. A/C and Wi-fi worked great. The stairs can be a bit of a hassle, especially when you’re tired in the summer heat, but nothing too troublesome (the elevator costs 0,20). The plumbing system can be a bit noisy. The street is loud, but c’mon, you’re in Naples.
• David (4/5): - Wir befanden die Gegend um unsere Unterkunft herum als sehr gefährlich, dreckig wie in den Slums. Hier könnte man gute Mafia Filme drehen 🙉 Essen: Pizza, das war die beste Pizza die ich jemals gegessen habe. Verkehr: furchtbar… am besten das Auto in einer Garage für ein paar Tage stehen lassen. In der Nähe der Unterkunft haben wir für 4Tage 100 Euro bezahlt. Lage: zu Fuß ist alles super zu erreichen. Eine Metro Station direkt am Dante Platz. Unterkunft: Die Unterkunft in dem Gebäudekemplex, ist im 4.Stock(obersten) an einem großen öffentlichen Platz, Piazza Dante. Man muss mit einem Fahrstuhl, 20cent pro Fahrt, ab 19 Uhr kostenlos, in den 3. Stock und dann das letzte Stockwerk zu Fuß, dann eine Tür öffnen, über eine gemeinschaftliche Dachterrasse, welche von einer alten Dame und ihrem Hund mitbenutzt wird, laufen und kommt dann erst zu seiner Unterkunft. Es ist praktisch eine Wohnung mit mehreren Zimmern auf der Dachterrasse im 4. Stock. Die Seitengassen sind nicht zu empfehlen, am besten immer die Hauptstraße nutzen. Gemma (Besitzerin) ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und ist jederzeit für einen da. Service wirklich top. Fazit: Neapel hat uns leider nicht gefallen.

Smooth check in and she she also accommodated my request for an early check in. Gave recommendations for places around. Place is close to the metro station and main square. Room was nicely done. The property reflects her view of trying to provide somewhere she would wish to stay Breakfast is excellent with Italian style food but savoury items like ham, eggs, cheese. If you are mobility challenged you might need some help with luggage

Also it was confusing where the B&B was we wondered around trying to find the place for about 10 minutes. We were confused as to why they show pictures in the description of a terrace when you can not use it except to come and go to the property. The bed was not comfortable but luckily we were In a room with a twin and a queen so I used a twin bed the second night and slept well.

The room was spacious and light and very comfortable, the bathroom likewise. As the B&B is on the 4th floor, there was no noise from the street. The location is very ventral to the historical centre, and within a short walk to the harbour. Piazza Bellini with good restaurants and cafes is just around the corner.

La localisation proche du centre historique et des quartiers espagnols est excellente et permet de visiter toute la ville à pied. Gemma est très accueillante, de très bons conseils sur les visites, les restaurants... Son français est parfait et permet des échanges que nous avons beaucoup appréciés. L'hébergement est très propre, les petits déjeuners personnalisés très bons. Nul doute que si nous revennons à Naples ce sera ici!

Would definitely recommend! - Gemma was a great host and very helpful before and after our arrival, and even pre-warned us of a transport strike, which enabled us to adjust our trip in advance. The facilities were lovely and clean with a kettle in the room and toiletries in the bathroom. There was lots to select from at breakfast, even some homemade cakes. We also got a welcome drink on arrival! The location is also excellent, right near the Via Dei Tribunali with excellent pizzerias and street food. Would definitely stay again! Nothing, it was great!

Central to everything and metro on the doorstep. Loved our stay at La Gemma The shower could be better as it could do with upgrading and modernising

• Sarah Jane (10/5): - From the moment we arrived, Gemma ( the owner) couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and at home! She told us all the best places to visit, eat etc and was only ever a call/message away. She speaks great English and French too. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink too. Our room was pretty, clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable, including a kettle an tea-making facilities. Although in central Naples, the B&B is very calm and quiet and a lovely refuge from the noise and bustle of the city! Breakfast was included and again, Gemma was always there to ensure everyone had what they needed :-) La Gemma is ideally situated for visiting everything of interest in Naples! It's a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral, seconds away from the "Centro Storico" and a 15 minute walk from the Piazza Plebiscito and the sea-front. There is a metro station on the square "Dante" so main transport links and the airport are also easy to reach. We would wholeheartedly recommend La Gemma for couples or individuals wanting a "home from home" in Naples! Thanks again, Gemma, we had a lovely stay! :-)
• Magnus (10/5): Mycket bra boende... - La Gemma ligger central med gångavstånd till allt. Vi kom med tåg till Neapel och från tågstationen tog vi tunnelbanan till Dante tunnelbanestation som ligger mindre än 100 m i från La Gemma. Boendet och frukost var mycket bra. Gemma var mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående med att peka ut både restauranger och sevärdheter. Boendet kan varmt rekommenderas.

• Levy (10/5): Exceptional - After visiting Naples, We understood that the location is one of the best we could ask for - very close to many bars and restaurants. Gemma was so accommodating and gave us information about all of the great places and sightseeing that we should visit in the city. The breakfast was good and the room was very clean and had a warm feeling. Really recommended for a great stay in Naples! The shower wasn't so comfortable.
• Beatrice (10/5): Ideal B and B in the heart of the city - Well-situated b and b in central Naples,walking distance of all major sights and right next to Dante metro. Host Gemma is very helpful ,knowledgeable,and communicative ensuring a very pleasant stay eg supplying us with a cool box to use in the room. The room is quiet with efficient double glazing and kept dark for sleeping with roller shutters in the velux windows which act as blackouts. The bathroom is a good size with all usual amenities, the shower strength we had though was just about adequate. Breakfast foods and drink are pre-ordered for a time you state, all very tasty and continental. We especially liked the homemade cake and yoghurt. A very welcome addition to the room was a kettle with dfferent sorts of teas (not coffee) provided. All black, no milk, standard for Italy !
• Xiaozhen (10/5): Exceptional - I had an unforgettable trip here! This hotel really gave me a surprising experience. First of all, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made me feel welcome. They always had a smile and were always willing to help, making me feel truly cared for. The comfort of the room also exceeded my expectations. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is very clean. The hotel's food and beverages are also excellent. Breakfast offers a variety of delicious options, including a variety of artisan breads and hot coffee. Finally, the hotel facilities are great. I spent some leisure time there. Moreover, the hotel's location is very convenient, close to the city and the subway station, and the transportation is also very convenient. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay. Thank you to the hotel staff for making my holiday so special. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the perfect relaxing getaway!
