• Edda (8/5): This B&B is not to distant from Modena centre. Well served with buses if you need to live around. Overall a great st - The room was very nice and very clean. It has all the essential that you need. There is no kettle for tea and coffee , just to manage English customer’s expectations but there us a mini fridge with water. Unfortunately the mini fridge attached to the wall started to make terrible noise at 4am. Despite checking plugs I couldn’t find any to switch off so I lay for an your awake from its annoying sound.

La camera veniva rifatta quotidianamente, con cambio giornaliero degli asciugamani, ed era presente un kit di cortesia per il bagno. Ogni giorno era inoltre messa a disposizione gratuitamente una bottiglia da mezzo litro di acqua. Per chi desiderava preparare un caffè o una tisana, era disponibile un locale comune attrezzato. • Luciano (10/5): Very nice accomodation surely I will use it again in the future. - The staff was awesome in satisfying my needs and providing informations as requested. The room was excellent and confirtable The location was perfect to travel to but was not the best to see the city but well connected by public transport. Overall a good location.
• Alf (10/5): Gute ruhige Lage, saubere Zimmer. - Lage in einem schönen Viertel, ca. 2 Kilometer von der Altstadt entfernt, wir sind aus Zeitgründen dann mit dem Auto an die Altstadt gefahren, was sehr gut klappte. Das Parken auf dem Innenhof ist sehr gut und der Zugang zum Haus klappte auch sehr gut. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Bad auch. Ich würde beim nächsten Modena Besuch wieder versuchen dort zu wohnen. Meine allgemeine Kritik, immer mehr B&Bs in Italien, laufen über Self-Checkin und so sieht man oft niemanden vor Ort, was ich persönlich schade finde, aber der Online Kontakt war sehr nett.

• Jeffrey (6/5): - The La Bella Modena we stayed at was very nice, had free parking, and was clean and comfortable, but was more than a mile from the center of town. I had originally booked at La Bella Modena CENTRO, but needed to move my date by a day, which I did on Expedia using “Change Dates” option on booking. New date was approved, I paid a small difference in charge, but I failed to notice that I had been changed to La Bella Modena, NOT CENTRO. I don’t know if this is Expedia’s or LBM’s fault, but I felt tricked and irritated when I went to the wrong location, had to go to the other location, and lost my restaurant reservation.

• S (3/5): Do not stay in the basic room. - The stuff was polite The hotel room (basic one ) was terribly small and photographed in a way that looked spacious . We couldn’t even open our luggages. This is the case in many hotels in Venice , but with the price we paid , we could get a more comfortable room in the same area with breakfast !

Private parking and quick checkout. Nice shower, small fridge for personal use. Little bit more spacious would elevate the score to a 10/10.

• Andrei (10/5): Perfect spot - We had a lovely stay+the place is located in a very quiet& cozy neighbourhood. We chose Modena for our visit to Bologna because the prices there were shamefuly big. We came with the train, than by bus, be careful at the routes because google maps sadly doesn't work very well with the Modena bus directions/bus routes.... You can also use the train from Modena to Modena Policlinico - it takes only 4 minutes. We visited Modena, Parma which is close & ofc Bologna; Near you have Risotteria Dai C'Andam which has the best risotto in Europe, but you have to make a reservation & Gelateria Borghi for dessert

The check-in was very easy as was the access the the property. Everything felt very secure. Loved the decor of the room. Wish breakfast was offered and there was a safe in the room.

• Verified traveler (4/5): The worst stay in this price range - The hotel advertises amenities that aren’t working properly. 1. Their interpretation of the median temp law lets them permanently restrict your ability to use AC if room temp reaches even 1/10 degree below 24. The small room is hot and stuffy with no air circulation. Opening windows would help, except the street is super loud and there’s mosquitoes at night. 2. The wifi is free, but is very unreliable. Takes extremely long to load a single page. We couldn’t get any work done. When we asked the manager for assistance, she was apologetic, but didn’t take responsibility for any issues blaming them on external factors. Apparently the internet works fine for her. Not trying to resolve the issues, but comfortable charging the full amount of 150+ euro per nighy as though everything works as advertised.

• Anonymous (8/5): Neat, clean and quiet stay - minimalistic rooms, spotlessly clean. minor issue and quite up to personal preference: I like to sleep at lower temperature and unfortunately the mosquito fest meant I couldn’t keep the window open at night to ventilate, but the AC has a (understandable) 24C lower temp limit so it was a bit stifling. However I appreciate the reason behind this and it would otherwise be a perfectly reasonable temp to be at!

• Martin (8/5): Modern compact room quite close to town - Modern room located 1km outside the bounds of the old city, with easy access to restaurants and minimarkets. The Wifi uses a third-party provider which requires signing in each time. This is in Italian so you have no idea what you are signing for, and I suspect the data is used to provide targeted advertising on your browsing. The Wifi because of this overlay is NOT SECURE. If you have online banking to do, I would recommend doing it at a different place.

The signage is very discreet so it would have been helpful to advise guests that the property is on the corner of Via del Pozzo and Via Carbonieri. Parking was not a problem. I recommend a stay here.
• Sara (8/5): A lovely room but not a convenient location for exploring Modena. - The room was in an attractive building, very clean and comfortable, with a lovely large shower in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Linens were high quality. The host was very kind and helpful and did her best to help us with restaurants and a tv that we were unable to work. very convenient parking. very nice common area on the lower floor. Our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. I had not realized this when booking and it was somewhat of a problem because my husband is not young and I cannot lift weights because of recent back surgery. The location of the property was quite distant from the centre. Breakfast is not available at the property and we did not find a bar/cafe nearby. There was no one at the reception during our stay.

• Paola (10/5): Excellent value for money minutes away from the centre of Modena - I booked a last minute stay at La Bella Modena on a busy weekend and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The property was 15 minutes’ walk from the town centre, in a quiet residential area. Self check iin was easy and the room newly decorated and super clean. The bed was very comfortable, too. All in all, excellent value for money. Nothing for the price paid

• Tony (8/5): - This is a different style of lodging. Aside from checking in with a live person (who was very nice), there is no one on the property. Everything is done by code and keycard. They had a nice coffee room but no breakfast. There weren’t a lot of cafes or restaurants within walking distance. Aside from one other occupant we were the only ones in the building. That said, the rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, although very small. Not a lot of room to move around.
• Manuel (6/5): Bad checkin and checkout times - The place is very nice, very clean and well designed but the checkin and checkout times are too late and too early respectively. It wasn't clear to me when making the reservation that it was not a hotel but that were just renting a room

• Robert (10/5): Nice boutique hotel - It is a small boutique hotel not in the town center. Alessandra is a wonderful host who is on premise much of the day. She is very friendly and helpful. It is about a 20 minute walk into Modena center. We walked or took cabs. It’s in a quiet area and there is a parking area if you have a car. There is coffee and tea available at all times and a small fridge that we were allowed to use. Highly recommend.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Absolutely perfect - This is a small hotel with 6 rooms in a great location. Walk to center in 10 minutes. The whole place is brand new and state of the art. Owner is incredibly nice and helpful. Great place!!
