We usually book a room at the competitor down the street, but Pendry Baltimore wins out with regard to customer service, aesthetics and atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and attentive. While we live just a very short drive away and it was for only one night, we both felt as though we had traveled on a much longer vacation; we felt very relaxed and rested. Two days at the Pendry and wandering around Fells Point felt delightfully much longer. The Harbor View King room was spacious and comfortable. The bed and bedding was some of the most comfortable we've ever slept on. The staff made our anniversary so special. Everyone there was so friendly and attentive. We shall be back!

This would have been an excellent 5-star rating but for the finger food with the tea service being mostly sweet with one savory item, and not enough information given about the specific teas chosen for infusing with the various alcohol.

The hotel is beautiful, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the level of service truly stands out. When we arrived, Philip at the front desk made a fantastic first impression. He was welcoming, professional, and incredibly personable. He took time to talk with us and gave great recommendations for restaurants in the area. One of his best suggestions was a local comedy show we were honestly thinking about skipping—but thanks to his encouragement we went, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. His local knowledge and genuine enthusiasm really elevated our stay. Another standout experience was brunch at Rec Pier Chop House. Our waiter, Joshi, was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He offered thoughtful recommendations and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal without ever being intrusive. His professionalism and warm personality made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Between the outstanding service, beautiful property, and memorable dining experience, this was truly a fantastic stay. - X9733KJpaulj (10/5): Finest Service Experience Ever! Superior Staff! - I had never stayed at a Pendry Hotel before. But, Pendry - Baltimore exceeded all my expectations. I don’t even write reviews, but my experience was so positive, I thought it was prudent to share my experience, because Pendry - Baltimore belongs at the top of everyone’s 5-Star Hotel list. It’s located at Fells Point, near downtown Baltimore, and I had never heard of Fells Point before, but what a view. It’s a Harbour with beautiful water views, with colorful large boats and yachts to admire from your balcony. I sat on my over-sized balcony for hours just to watch the beautiful boats go by. And I only had a regular double room. I can’t imagine how nice the Suites must be. Enis, the General Manager, runs a tight ship all the way around. Being an entrepreneur, I recognize what is clearly an exceptionally positive culture amongst everyone that works with Enis. I noticed how politely he speaks to his staff, and in return, they clearly want to please him. Friendly from the top, all the way through to the Valets and Housekeeping. Speaking of Housekeeping, the rooms are beautifully and tastefully appointed, and they still do turndown service, which has gone away at many other fine hotels. No one will believe this, but I had packed my clothes in a hurry, running late to catch my plane to come to Baltimore for my daughter’s 22nd birthday. So my dress shirts and some of my pants were quite wrinkled. As I was going downstairs for lunch, I said hello to Elfreda, the main housekeeper for the Pendry - Baltimore, and it just came up in the conversation about almost missing my plane, and I mentioned that I threw my clothes in a suitcase, so my shirts were very wrinkled, so my daughter was going to be embarrassed to be with her Dad when she arrived for birthday dinner with me in the Pendry restaurant. But when I returned to my room a few hours later, Elfreda had ironed all my shirts and slacks, and hung them neatly in my closet. I have never heard of such a thing! Now thats what I call going the extra mile for the customer. It seemed like everyone there, treated me like I was a VIP, but I’m not. Just a normal guy, that they made feel important and appreciated. And for a 5-Star hotel of that caliber, the rates were very reasonable. Honestly, they could charge much more and still stay fully booked. I’m going to New York City for the weekend, from here, but I had already booked another hotel there before I left Florida. I then discovered that they have a Pendry in Manhattan as well. Given my wonderful experience at Pendry - Baltimore, I tried to cancel my reservation at the other chain, but it was non-refundable, so sadly, I’ll miss out on a similar experience in NYC. But I go to NYC a lot, since my son lives there, so I’ll be staying at The Pendry from now on while there as well. My daughter goes to the University of Maryland, so now I have a Pendry to stay at when I visit both of my children, several times a year. The Pendry Dining experience here was unforgettable, and not just the unique menu. The view from the dining room, with floor to ceiling glass, is nothing short of spectacular. And the best part of the expansive and stunning onsite restaurant, was the service. Not just the waiters, but also the bartenders and servers. And if you like steaks, you must order the Ribeye with whipped potatoes! After my weekend trip to NYC, I’m back here for one more day before flying back to Florida out of Baltimore. I’m sure there are many other delicious items on the menu, but I’m going with the Ribeye again. Oh, and chicken Cesar for lunch. The dining room is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So I never left the hotel to eat anywhere else. If you like to venture out for a meal or drinks, Fells Point reminds me of a Sky Village, without all the snow. Almost every restaurant and tavern in the area is locally-owned. Not national franchises, which I am not a fan of. Even the front desk clerks were impressive. Kristal in particular, was extremely helpful in recommending a nearby florist and spa that I inquired about. She even located a photographer for me, because I wanted to have my daughter do a photo shoot in the very finely decorated lobby. And Krystal is the front desk clerk, not the concierge, but she was more helpful than most of the concierges I have requested referrals from. She even offered to make spa reservations for me! It’s definitely a great place for conferences as well. Lots a large meeting rooms and separate meeting areas. And some quiet places to work at or make a private phone call. Now I’m going to look for Pendry, every time I travel. I expect this hotel chain to grow rapidly, because it’s truly the best managed hotel I have ever stayed at. And I have stayed at many 5-Star hotels around the world. But Pendry is at the top of my list. 6- Stars!

I asked about a massage, and although they didn't have one on property, they called the local spa to set an appointment on my behalf. They also set up a room (at 8am) where my group could watch the olympic hockey game together, and even served breakfast in the cannon room. Every request I had was answered promptly and professionally, they were even easy to text with while I was out of the hotel. A member of our group dropped his phone down the elevator shaft! They called an engineer in and rescued his cell phone at midnight, with no complaints! Amazing team

The best location, historic charm, delicious food, top notch atmosphere…I could go on and on! From the moment you walk up, the Pendry commands attention. The detail in design is evident. Everywhere you look, there’s something interesting or beautiful to see. Our room was AMAZING! Right over the water and floor to ceiling windows just made it feel so special. Beds are comfortable with luxury linens. Everyone was helpful, especially the valet guys. Each one we spoke to had a good tip of where to go in Baltimore. Being first timers, we really appreciated that. One of our favorite things was doing the boozy tea. It was so fun and unique in such a beautiful room overlooking the infamous garden courtyard. All of the teas were delicious as well. The food we had there was all perfection as well as the service. We did room service for breakfast and one dinner, as well as dinner in the restaurant. Our entire experience was a total pleasure. Baltimore is a great city full of heart and we can’t wait to visit again. When we do, we’ll definitely be staying at The Pendry!

Plenty of walkable restaurants and taverns to visit. We will be returning there!

However, I was completely blown away, and in large part my experience was elevated because of my stay at Pendry Baltimore. Located in the historic Fells Point neighborhood, the location is truly unbeatable. Our room overlooked the harbor, with floor to ceiling windows, with the room baked in sunlight. The room decor was so charming, it did not feel like a cookie cutter hotel room at all. It felt like I was in someone's home, with spacious bathrooms, sitting area, tv, steamer and more. We stayed at the end of Summer, so the pool was shut to the public, but this didn't matter. You can still go out and enjoy the beautiful harbor views, and enjoy a drink at the bar outside. The hotel is surrounded by so many charming bars, restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance, and the area felt super safe. I have stayed at a few Pendry hotels and this one might just top the list. The staff were super friendly. Highly recommend for your next stay in Baltimore.

I could have saved myself $650 and stayed at 3 star hotel for the same experience. When we checked in they sent us to the wrong room and then when we did get to our room, the leather sofa was missing buttons leaving sharp metal exposed. Such a shame because it really is a beautiful property but the terrible service makes it one I will never recommend.

- csach (10/5): Quaint hotel where management is close to home - The Sagamore Pendry is one of my favorite hotels in Baltimore. I love it!!!! The rooms are gorgeous—modern and classic at the same time, with thoughtful details like lighting behind the headboard. These little things count with me. The beds are super comfortable, the soaps and lotions smell incredible (I keep ordering them for home), and the pool and breakfast are always a highlight. The only thing keeping me from giving five stars is the gym. For a hotel of this caliber, it’s pretty limited. Adding a few key pieces—exercise balls, extra grips, a decline bench, and a Smith Machine—would bring the fitness center up to the same five-star level as the rest of the Pendry. Still, I always enjoy my stays here and look forward to coming back. With a stronger gym, this hotel would be absolute perfection.

First the pros: the room accommodations are excellent. The bedding, the water pressure, the maintenance of the room overall were all excellent. We enjoyed our time at the pool, and though we didn’t get anything from the pool bar the food looked great. We enjoyed the hotel bar one night as well. There were a few things that we felt put a damper on our stay. We asked for a refrigerator to be brought to our room and after 3 hours it never arrived and then we needed to head out to a show. In the end we never got the fridge and our food went bad. The walls are thin, really thin, when it comes to noise for such a nice place. We heard people next to us and people above us at late hours. The last thing was regarding valet car safety. Our cars cameras captured someone trying to get into cars, including our own. While not “on them” since it seemed to be a public parking garage I wouldve hoped they would have the necessary security for their hotel guests.

- Kgilchrist (10/5): My Favorite Hotel! - I wanted to acknowledge Damien for exceptional service. I’m a Muslim woman and needed a place to pray. He found a colleague - maybe Adam - a brother w Locs - who escorted me to a private prayer area. Damien also had superb food recommendations. Neither of them knew I was here for the weekend preparing for a major surgery. Their generosity made the final day of my stay perfect! Mat was awesome per usual! Can’t wait to stay again.
