Guest Reviews
- Sylvain (10/5): - Très bel endroit, super propre et de qualité. Personnel courtois. Endroit très sécuritaire, emplacement parfait et vue sur le pont génial. Nous y retournerions sans hésitation.
- JIn (10/5): - Good location, clean room, and friendly helpful staff.
- niesyl (10/5): Great place to stay - Clean rooms and amenities, lovely breakfast and close to the city
- Alexandra (10/5): Very convenient location with on site parking. - Great location, very convenient parking on site.
- sarah (10/5): - We have recently stayed at this property and we couldn’t fault it - on arrival I asked if we could have a river view room instead of the one we were allocated and this was swiftly changed - the whole building was spotlessly clean and the apartment had everything we needed. There is a supermarket next door which we used frequently and the tram stop is just across the road…..fantastic!
- Ronnie (10/5): - Very comfortable and easy to access. Our room was spacious enough and very clean and well decorated.
- Eugene (10/5): - Room was very comfy and the small kitchenette meant we could have breakfast/lunch there if we chose to. The apartments are located next to a tram station allowing quick access into the centre but is also very close to the river with a lively promenade route available for walking into the centre (about 30 mins ). We also used the promenade for our morning run on a couple of mornings. It is also very convenient for the Cite Du Vin which was five minutes walk away. Overall, we found the staff friendly and helpful. Great to have parking in the basement but access is through a side road and you need an access code to enter - which was a bit tricky to figure out on arrival.
Overall, we were very impressed and felt it offered very good value for money.
- Poly (8/5): - See local people doing the exercises. One grocery store nearby, easy to buy food or snack. A little bit, when the train passed by, but it's Ok.
- GARY (10/5): - Rooms were great, clean well appointed and my apartment had a nice lounge area
- Theodore (10/5): - This was my second stay at this property. The other was in August 2024. Good Internet connection, comfortable bed, ease of transportation with a tram stop across the street. I would recommend this property go others.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Aparthotel - Very clean, spacious and modern apartment. Great staff. Short tram ride from the city center. Great location for walking/running. Will recommend and stay again.
- Patricia Ann (10/5): - We booked this after reading reviews from others. The accommodation is very simple but met our needs perfectly. It is very clean, has a comfortable bed, a handy little kitchenette which was well stocked with essential implements. It has a terrific grocery store right around the corner. Le Cite Du Vin is a short walk away. The tram was within a minutes walk and we were a quick ride from the old city. It was a stones throw from the waterfront and the bridge to the other side of the river was right outside the door. I would say this is an excellent, affordable place to stay and would do it again. Also a few tram stops fom the cruise ships.
- Grace (10/5): - We loved Bordeaux and of course the wine!
The Residhome Hotel was excellent and had a secure underground parking garage for our car. The location was great. The tram runs past the hotel and was easy to use.
Buffet breakfast was very generous and delicious. Easy walking distance to the old city, Cite du Vin and other attractions and historic sites. We highly recommend the hotel.
- Mary (10/5): - 2 weeks here! Very, very good. Kitchen amazingly well furnished, separate bedroom for one of us to sleep in. Comfy couch, 2 chairs for our friends, staying in another room here. Tram just outside, bridge view for the nightly light show, market of Les Halle’s de Bacalan 4 minute walk, grocery stores in 2 and 3 minutes, good restaurants, nice staff. GREAT!
- KEVIN (8/5): Comfortable Stay - It is a very comfortable apartment style hotel. The unit we rented had a bedroom and a sofa bed which met our needs. All the storage was in the living room which made hanging your clothes a bit difficult. The highlight for me was the front desk staff who were both helpful and friendly.
- Susanne (8/5): - Very close to Cité du Vin…quite a walk to all other sites though… parking was a challenge even for a small car but doable if you are experienced in such…very nice apartment to give privacy and peace for guests…breakfast buffet was good….
- Brian (10/5): Residhome in Bordeaux - This is an extended staff hotel in the Chatrons District of Bordeaux. It is a bit out from the city center but right across from the tram which will deliver you there in 5-10 minutes. The property is well tended and the breakfast was excellent. The staff are welcoming.
- Shirley (10/5): Revisiting hotel and Bordeaux - This was our second visit to this hotel. Previously we came in a summer ,but this visit was on the last day of Bordeaux Xmas market. The hotel is situated on the tram line which you can buy tickets at the machine or on the app. To get into centre takes about ten mins. Across from hotel is the river which you can walk into Bordeaux with lots of restaurants and shops. A lot shut in the winter, but definitely worth a nice walk. You will find Mc Donald’s , Lindt and Starbucks on the way. If you need parking you need to pop into hotel to get the code and directions. When you park in the resid spots you will find a lift to take you up to reception. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are clean and have everything to cook and be comfortable. This time we were on the ground floor and layout was different. Previously we were high up and had the most wonderful view of river and bridge. But we asked for this well in advance. Usually shops in the centre are shut on a Sunday. But special circumstances of Xmas meant they were open. So much choice and a lovely city to visit. Xmas market was huge and so we ended up going back to hotel and ordering a Uber eats as exhausted. Definitely recommend this hotel.
- monique (10/5): - Fabulous area! Friendly helpful staff!
- Sabrina (8/5): - Loved the location so close to the tram which made exploring the city very easy. The room was small with the pull-out couch made up into a bed, but it would have been perfect for a couple. It still worked for us as we were only there for one night. We enjoyed the towel warmer although there were no facecloths which may be a European things as we didn't have any in the other hotels we stayed at during our trip. Having a Monoprix right around the corner was also a plus!
The hotel was clean, the staff was extremely friendly and stored our luggage until our check-in time. The breakfast selection was great and the fact that it was included in our stay was awesome! Would definitely stay here again and will consider using the Residhome hotels in other cities in future travels.
- Amelia (8/5): - The ubucación it's convenient
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great unit in perfect location - Great location on the quiet side of the river. Very walkable.
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Water and coffee stations. Breakfast area becomes lounge/business are after breakfast. 24/7 support. Big room with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
- John (10/5): Great time in Bordeaux - We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely holiday. The room was well equipped and the bed comfortable - special mention for the shower which was enjoyably powerful. The location was perfect in that it was close to the river but not in the busy area of the city. Additionally, the excellent tram service stopped right outside the hotel. Reception staff were all polite and helpful.
- Loveena (10/5): - We stayed for two nights and found the apartment clean, comfortable and pleasant. There is underground parking (call ahead to get the entry code). There is also laundry facilities. The staff at Residhome are very helpful and make you feel welcome. The metro station is very close to get into the city centre. There is a monoprix next door and the Cité du vin is a 5 minutes walk away.
- Christelle (8/5): - Logement bien situé et pas trop loin du centre. L'équipe était à l'écoute et très réactifs. Le lit et canapé lit étaient très confortables. Épiceries à proximité. Je recommande
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stopover in Bordeaux - Friendly, helpful at check in and otherwise. Clean, well equipped rooms, everything worked. Great location. Secure parking under the hotel.
- Svitlana (10/5): - Everything was good
- Rochelle (10/5): Great location - Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable stay.
- Audrey (10/5): - Good stay est Residhome. Near some activities and dining place.
- rebecca (10/5): - Excellent hotel choice! Easy to Tram. Very delicious Organic breakfast. Laundry facilities. Clean, safe parking underground. We enjoy street noise—can hear hustle and bustle on street side late i to the night—we liked that. Walking distance to wine museum! Take a walk a ross the lift bridge—very cool.
- Justin (10/5): - Very friendly (and helpful) staff. Close to the City of Wine Museum and public tram that takes you to the downtown. Also close walking to the docks with their vibrant nightlife. Parking was not that easy but the garage is just under the hotel. Very comfortable, clean bed. We had a river view which looked beautiful at night.
- Guangzhi (10/5): - Fabulous studio. Helpful people at the front desk. Good breakfast
- Matteo (8/5): - Good access and clean design
- Margarita (10/5): - Very good place to stay
- Kitty (8/5): - Convenient location to tram B, good breakfast
- Chaitra (10/5): Comfortable stay - We had a 1 BR suite and it was very well equipped. But with the sofabed open, it feels a little crowded and I doubt you can use the kitchenette. For a family of for a night, it was fine. The hotel is well located with easy access to public transportation. The breakfast, extra charge, was great. Parking, also extra, was also very convenient. They let us leave the car after check out until we headed out in the evening. All in all, I would recommend it.
- Elaine (10/5): - Great room right near Les Halles Bacalan and the Cite du Vin. Walkable everywhere.
- Elaine (10/5): - Loved the apartment - it was close to everything. Very comfortable. Staff not friendly or helpful, with few exceptions.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super room, bed, breakfast, parking and location! Kitchen always great!
- Rosemary (8/5): Good place to stay if driving - Great place to stay for the Cite du Vin, the Hangers shopping & Les Halles plus various other attractions.
Great transport (tram & shuttle boat) links to city centre, aeroport & stations.
Main bedroom a little cramped but spacious elsewhere in the apartment
- Dan (10/5): - Les propriétaires sont vraiment amiables, et j’aimais leurs caractères comme sympas en cherchant les conseils de l’hôtel et l’endroit autour.
- Shehdeh (8/5): - hospitality
- sean patrick (10/5): Family trip to Bordeaux - Great location right across the street from the tram which takes you into the center in minutes. Parking was easy and food options were close by.
- Sharon (8/5): - The people at the front desk were very helpful and went out of their way to help us. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The room as clean, quiet and the kitchen area was well equipped. We really enjoyed the close proximity to the boardwalk along the river. We definitely recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great apartment with easy access to Bordeaux - Thé hôtel is in a great situation with easy to use tram virtually outside. Opposite along the quay is restaurants and bars and a nice walk to the centre of you prefer this.
The hotel is clean and very comfortable. We had a great view over the river.
If driving please contact hotel beforehand to get the directions to the car park ,which is to the side and the code. This was only stressful part of stay. I had called for code but they hasn’t told me carpark needed to be approached by a different road. Very busy intersection the hotel sits on. Definitely recommend
- Sylvie (8/5): Bon choix à moins de 25degres - Juste en face du tramway et boardwalk! Parking disponible et sécuritaire.. seul problème la climatisation qui ne fonctionne pas!
- Neil (10/5): - Great apartment.
It has its own car parking spaces in the basement, which you pay for separately and may need to be reserved. You then access your floor from there using the elevator.
Staff were all helpful and friendly.
Tram stop (La citi du vin) just yards from the front door.
Also a supermarket and bars & restaurants walking distance away.
- Jennilee (10/5): Excel expectations - Centrally located, very clean, good breakfast buffet (paying) and a full kitchen. I will definitely stay there again if traveling to Bordeaux
- Francois (10/5): - Location is key. Few minutes from les Halles de Bacalan, Cité du vin and tram. 5 minutes in the tram will get you downtown. Walking is a great option
- Gertrude (10/5): - The room was well appointed and comfortable. The mini kitchen had everything we could need. The staff were very helpful. We would be happy to stay there again.
- Lindy (6/5): - The property was well kept, the rooms were nicely decorated, clean and spacious and there is a convenient grocery store right around the corner. Unfortunately, we had a room on the corner of the building facing 2 majors streets. The noise level was unbearable with earplugs and a noise app. The weekend nights were the worst with drunk, fighting, rowdy young people screaming etc. at the 2 team stopped located right outside the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely but I wouldn't stay there again because the noise level due to its location.
- Pablo (10/5): - Nice place!!
- ALEXANDRE (10/5): - Location. Clean. Customer service. Facilities.
- Deborah (10/5): - Everything was great. So much light in bedroom!!! Loved the big windows and balcony. Bed was more comfortable than my own at home. The only issue was the water pressure in shower, but only for the cold water. The pressure for sinks in bathroom and kitchen were great. Maybe something is stuck in pipes of cold water for shower and need to be looked at. We didn't tell the staff because we didn't want people going into our apartment. Otherwise, it was a great stay and we highly recommend.
- Eve-Marie (10/5): - Perfect stay for our family. Clean, comfy, easy parking, close to everything.
- Bharat (10/5): - Situated in a newly developed part of the city, it is very conviniently located - very near from the famous landmarks, from the water body, from the tram station etc. Staff is very friendly and the Hotel is brand new. Good value Hotel for the price they charge
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location, spacious rooms - Rooms were spacious, aircon was intermittently switched in and off. Conveniently located, 6 tram stops to bordeaux city
- Maria (10/5): Awesome apartment hotel with extra bonus! - Residhome was perfect. It was next Chartrons, a little quieter and quaint residential area with awesome little stores. The best part there is a roof top restaurant bar with awesome views of the river & bridge. It was especially perfect that the other customers were equally quiet and respectful, no kids running around or loud TVs.
- Colin (10/5): 2 nights stay - Perfectly situated.. tram right outside or saunter into the center..didnt use restaurant, parking was secure in underground hotel car park
- catherine (8/5): - arrived at 2 am and didnt gain access until 4 am, we did get upgraded and free parking and later checkout, but i dont think it compensated 2 hours in pouring ra
- Samuel (8/5): Excelent but with cigarrate smell. - Good location, about 30 minutes walk from downtown, but front a beautiful riverside with shops and restaurantes.
Nice hotel BUT with a big Smoke smell. It was a non smoking floor, but I am sure it was a smoking floor in the past and smell never left the building. Maybe not all the floors have it.
It has parking.
- Pedro (10/5): Very good! - Very nice rooms (new and clean). Friendly staff. Location is ok with tram really close. Just remember that you need to pay extra for each day you want the room cleaned.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was good. Even though we walked everywhere, there was train/tram available close by. Market within one block away. Would recommend this property.
- Brian (8/5): Excellent - This is a suite type property that was excellent. All the amenities in the room were new and well tended. The property is located out of the main city tourist center. However, it right next to a tram station which will take you downtown in 10 minutes. The promenade is just across the street and it runs along the river and has many bars, restaurants and virtually everything you need. The staff were pleasant and professional.
- sally (10/5): Highly recommend - Excellent accomodation, well equipped, very clean , staff friendly and very helpful, supermarket nearby , a few local restaurants and tram stop across the road which takes you to the center in a few minutes or a 20 / 30 mins walk along river bank . Thoroughly enjoyed our trip, happy to recommend
- Robert (10/5): Best apartment in Bordeaux - Super pisition s d the staff are wonderful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A fantastic place to stay for a week in Bordeaux. We spent our honeymoon here for a no frills, culture and sightseeing trip.
Close enough to access main town easily but not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Right in front of a tram line so going anywhere was incredibly easy and the Monoprix next door made buying food and drink very easy.
They only cleaned once during the stay which meant we managed to fill multiple bins as we were using the cooking facilities for quite a few meals.
The kitchen amenities are adequate, a microwave and two hobs, you can easily make basic meals to cut costs of going out for every meal.
Everything was incredibly clean and new and all staff were very friendly and helpful whenever we spoke to them. Would recommend this property as a base for anybody staying in Bordeaux that wants to experience the culture and sights of the city without spending the earth whilst doing so.
- Daria (8/5): Comfortable and convenient stay - Stayed at the hotel for one night between traveling from one location to another - good public transportation access (light train stop is just across the road), great view on the bridge, quite neighborhood (or at least, it seemed so on Sun night). The room was clean and spacious, the only thing that bothered me is that the room was very cold when we got there and it took quite awhile for it to heat up a bit once the temperature was adjusted.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was further out but was fine for me for the stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - Fantastic location and view of the river, easy parking, well stocked kitchen, very comfortable bed. Will definitely be back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Super convenient. - We love Bordeaux, and Chartrons is a good area to stay in high season, to allow a bit of space from the tourist crowds. With the great tram system, however, you are minutes from everything. Parfait! Having the tram, Le Cite du Van, Les Halles, etc, at the doorstep is a huge plus. The Monoprix next door is great, as is the convenience of the laundry. The management and staff are very welcoming and accommodating.
This is the first Residhome we’ve stayed in, and although the furnishings and amenities are good, the cleaning could be improved.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent location with great access to cheap and frequent public transport. Adequate accommodation with good kitchen facilities, air-con and wifi. Friendly and helpful staff. However, I wasn't prepared for the fact that the apartment does not get cleaned if you are only there for a few days. Not a big deal but would have liked to know beforehand.
- Kadie (10/5): Super stay - Apartment was very clean and spacious and brilliant location. Staff were extremely helpful too. Definitely stay there again and recommend to family and friends.
- Ann (10/5): Excellent Aparthotel. - We had only time to spend one night in Bordeaux. The Residhome was a great choice. Beside the tram and only a few stops from the city centre. Close to s number of interesting sites. Highly recommend this place to stay. Very nice helpful staff with excellent English.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was away from the city centre but excellent tram transport made that less important than usual
Some of the utilities such as electric kettle & coffee maker & hob did not get power to switch on and dishwasher had a strip of bent metal that prevented the rack from being pulled forward for loading dishes. All was rectified upon telling reception but wish it had worked properly from day one.
Common areas are neat & clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff very friendly, nicely furnished, modern and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great property, great location. The staff is very friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Most things were acceptable at this hotel. It was clean and simple and had everything we needed. The complimentary coffee and tea were useful. The kitchenette was good and we were provided with enough utensils to get by. Parking was good at $8 euros a day.
- Morgane L (10/5): A lovely stay - would recommend - This is a perfect hotel for anyone looking for comfortable budget accommodation, about 30mn walk from the city centre with a tram stop right outside the front door. Perhaps my only issue is that I had not realised our room wouldn't be cleaned at all during the entirety of our one-week stay, but I can't complain too much given how affordable a week it was. I would stay here again during future visits to Bordeaux.
- Colin (8/5): - Good position and comfortable.Car park is good, but costs 8 euros a day
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location - plenty of eating places nearby. Apartment spacious and with all amenities required - fridge, dishwasher, hob and microwave and loads of crockery and pans. Lots of storage space and good bathroom. Monoprix supermarket just round corner for supplies. 20-25 minute walk alongside river into city or 5 minute tram ride with stop outside apartments. English speaking staff very friendly and helpful.
- Cassandra (10/5): Great reasonably-priced well-located aparthotel - This hotel has a great location in walking distance of central Bordeaux (a nice walk along the river - about 25 mins). Rooms are exceptionally clean and beds very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and friendly. There are some good bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk and a handy shop just around the corner. Would definitely recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Only 10 mins by team to city centre. Team stop across road from hotel. Nice room. Excellent, friendly staff
- Marco (6/5): Shower heater not fit for baby! NO FREE parking! - When I was looking for acomodation y Bordeaux I filtered places with free parking! This location at the end did not have it, so Is had to pay for parking 20€
The place is nice but in the 3rd floor, lost of steep stairs
Last, the shower water heater is bad! 2 minuts of boiling water and 1 minute of frezzing water! Very uncomfortable to shower! At the end we could not shower our baby!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel was perfect for accessing our Viking cruise in Bordeaux. It was clean, modern, great AC, and good bed. We slept for 12 hours after a grueling travel from the US to Bordeaux. Right across the street from the river front. Walked to the boat from the hotel.
- Thomas (10/5): Very satisfied customers - Excellent new clean hotel in ideal location. Pretty good value.
- ann (8/5): great location and bright and fresh - this is a lovley clean and fresh hotel.nicely decorated and smells of air freshener in public areas. it had plenty of room for three of us in the apartment. a fridge was a bonus. it did have two electric cooking rings but we did not use this. well equiped with good knives , unusually good glasses and corkscrew - essential in bordeaux!. very easy to use tram to town and also to access from the airport via public transport. The only downside reception advice - " no ice madam this is france you know". ovecome it with use of ice tray in fridge., and no english tv channels. i recommend to add itv3 for drama programmes. overall it was a nice place to stay.
- Benjamin (10/5): Beautiful Bordeaux - A really great stay in Bordeaux. The hotel was really well positioned right by the river and tram. Whilst we walked to the old town (30 mins), the tram is directly outside the hotel and gets you there in 10mins.
The hotel was really clean and comfortable and the room came with a small kitchenette. There was a supermarket right next door which was well stocked and very convenient. I will be coming back for a long weekend sometime.
- Brendan (10/5): - Excellent location beside musee de vin and bars and restaurants. Clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Short stay, good for price - Good, modern room. Handy with the kitchen. Beware, maid service is limited.
- Janet (8/5): - Excellent location , lovely shops and resturants.
Staff very polite and helpful. Accommodation clean and comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely unit. Very comfort. Nice breakfast and reception staff. Clean, tidy and spacious. Beautiful bathroom.
- John (8/5): - For Americans the enterence door is confusing. The sleek design makes you want to push. Pull.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel at edge of Bordeaux. - Excellent hotel, directly opposite a tram stop with easy access to city centre.
Clean, spacious hotel with parking.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great value, convenient - Great value! Caddy corner from the rail station that runs right into Bordeaux--super convenient! Didn't move our car once in three days. Nice room & stay.
- The (10/5): Convenient and comfortable - Located approximately 1km from centre close to Cite du Vin and river bank. Easy access. Friendly and helpful staff.
- TwoOnTrip (10/5): - Spacious apartment with parking available. Tram, shopping nearby.
- Carla (10/5): Convenient hotel close to many Bordeaux sights - We stayed there as a family of 4 including a 2 year old. The room was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. It was close to the tram to town as well as the roads to explore the vineyards in Medoc and St. Emilion. There is a nearby grocery which makes stocking the room very easy. Enjoyed our stay very much!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent location! - Perfect for travel with a child or two. Clean rooms, well-appointed, and great staff. Tram is right outside. Walking distance to Cité du Vin- great experience.
- Andrea (10/5): Great find! - This is a relatively new hotel that is in excellent condition and in a part of town that has received considerable investment. The apartment itself was perfectly big enough for the two of us and had everything in it you could possibly need. The bed was the best hotel bed I have slept on in many years. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel that takes you into the heart of the city within 10 minutes and it is cheap, clean and frequent. In the immediate area is the city du vin which is a great place to visit if you are interested in wine. Across the road from there are restaurants and a brilliant market where you can buy food and drinks in the evening.
Will definitely be staying here next time we are in Bordeaux.
