- Norm (6/5): - Elite’s location to the airport makes it a prime stay for people visiting Haiti. We stayed for three nights. The A/C in our room was not working upon arrival which was a bother because i made the reservation well advance and I felt like this should’ve been checked prior to our arrival. We had a minor problem with the toilet in the bathroom but it was fixed after a while. Breakfast options were limited and power at the hotel was intermittent which made our room very unbearable in the June heat. Positives were Blaise who was very helpful and attentive. Fedlyne at the restaurant and bar was also kind and courteous. However, I will not stay there for future visits.

- YVESON (6/5): - Quiet place with great potential but poor management.
- Reginald (6/5): - Room was fine and clean but the AC in the hotel was not working properly so we received a fan for the night.
The reservation mentionned that breakfast was included but the hotel informed us that breakfast was not included and it cost $20 per person.
- Jude (2/5): - They say free airport but you have to pay and no breakfast
- John (6/5): - Water and light got cut off for 30 min until I left still no light.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Lack of electricity was an issue for me
- marieveroniques (6/5): Good location but overpriced - Positive:
The hotel offers shuttle service even during the fuel crisis.
John the receptionist is a very courteous gentleman with great professionalism.
Punctuality is applied by the shuttle drivers, the breakfast, the check in.
The pool is nice and well maintained.
The service in general is great and efficient.
Nice place located ad only 4 minutes driving from the airport.
Negative:
Overpriced.
- Karsh (2/5): - No electricity no water for take a shower 😡
Bad employees
Bad breakfast 👎
- Marie (2/5): - I book Elite Hotel based on the reviews. But i was very disappointed. The room was not up to part, the bathroom smelIs, the receptionist was not friendly at all. The young lady that clean our room, the ladies in the restaurant and the bar were very nice.Food wasn't all that not too many choices. But the Hotel itself is beautiful especially outside. I enjoyed my 2 nights overall.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not too happy with Elite hotel - The front desk was ok,the doorman James is great, the securty crew is great, the cleaning crew was good, the bar was terrible, the breakfast crew was good, lunch not good, dinner wasn’t good not tast good also the food price is ridiculous
Everything is so expensive inside elite hotel,3 time more than original price.
- Wadson (10/5): - It was okay
- Guelson (10/5): - Well it was very nice
- Bernadel (10/5): - As a whole, stay was considerable.
- Bernadel (10/5): - Pool area is well set up, clean and secure room. Customer service has no rival. All in all, there are no complaints.
- Cindia (2/5): - The internet service was not good at all.
- Sherline (10/5): - Beautiful hotel nice staff
- Wadson (4/5): - They are a bad attitude I don’t like the service they gave me over there
- Johnny (10/5): - I had a good time and the staff were very friendly and helpful/ awesome people and I had the best service.
- JEAN G (8/5): Not bad - It was okay
- Eveline (4/5): - This Hotel they need to Change the cleaning Manager first. The bathroom are full of molds when ask the manager about it she said that she did not speak Kreol the Haitian language. There is a Man that is very disrespectful seating on one of the table every day cursing employees speaking loudly. Never say hi to anyone. I did stay in this Hotel for10 days, i did ask for a garbage can they never give it to me. The Bathroom's towels are disgusting, not clean at all. I only stay in this hotel for only 2 employees: Jude Francillon and another young man very friendly. They need to have a better cleaning services. The table are disgusting, not clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Worth staying again but verify room as advertised - This was a return stay after having stayed in the hotel three years ago. It is important to note that the room booked as advertised on the website and the realities are totally different. There was no sofa or additional furniture in the room and there was certainly no mountain view from the base level. I was told that the mountain view rooms are on the entrance level floor or the top floor but I was given a room on the bottom floor below the entrance floor and was very disappointed with parking lot view and not mountain view as advertised. Having booked on this website in mountainous areas such as the Andes and the Himalayas, I know what mountains look like. The breakfast was better than the other comparable hotel where people are staying at the moment and the dinner options are ok. I would stay here again but will require confirmation that what I book and pay for is indeed what I am getting.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Recommended go here. Pool restaurant . Cold ac WiFi multi lingual, multi racial fair stay all around
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like everything about Elite
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great property clean just the food price at the restaurant ridiculous something u could buy for 10$ outside it’s like 3times the price in the inside
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s so nice everything is alright
- Johnny (6/5): Not guest friendly. - The staff is watching you for breakfast to see how many people you have in your party and they charge you for 2 year olds to eat, when they really eat nothing at all. If you pay for 5 not including a 2 year old, they will charge you for them to eat. Not good at all.......
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Bad customer service
- Verified traveler (6/5): - They are ridiculous with the food prices. Upper management doesn't care about the guests, only cared about charging the guest. Overwork the worers and barely pay them.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Confortable hotel very close to the airport and nice location.
The all staffs are very polite and professional
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ridiculous price for food - It was my first time at the Elite Hotel. I tried it because my driver suggested it. The staff was really attentive and the service was very good.
The price of the food was outrageous! I paid over 4000 gourdes for conch. ($56 US!)
The shower had a lot of rust and the hand-held shower head kept falling on me. There are a lot of updates that need to happen pretty much everywhere.
The breakfast was great, thankfully it was included. I doubt I will stay here again because of the prices of food. It’s too bad, the pool and bar/resto are quaint.
- Christy (10/5): Gem in Haiti!! - After reading reviews before my trip, I wasn't sure how the quality of the hotel would be, but I was pleasantly surprised!! I have traveled to Haiti many times and this hotel is far superior to most of the other hotels in Port au Prince. I stayed in one of the suites which had hardwood floors, TV, and the internet worked most of the time. Hot water with every shower. Service was excellent, hotel was clean. Buffet breakfast in morning was extensive and food was delicious. The restaurant/bar was pricer compared to other hotels/restaurants, but once again the quality was great. Salsa night on Saturday night and a live band played on Sunday night. Staff was extremely friendly and spoke English. Overall excellent experience, highly recommend and will definitely stay at this hotel when I return to Haiti!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Enjoyable boutique hotel - Great customer service. Enjoyable pool and food. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Quiet, not a lot of other patrons. However, the bed mattresses are very hard.
- YVES (2/5): - THIS IS ONE OF THE WORSE HOTEL I NEVER BEEN, IF SOMEONE COME TO VISIT YOU IN YOUR ROOM YOU MUST PAY $30 US, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THAT, IF YOU WANT A GLASS TO DRINK A WINE, YOU SHOULD LEAVE $10 US FOR DEPOSIT. THE PLUMBING SYSTEM IS TERRIBLE, THE FECES SMELL STAY INSIDE THE ROOM THAT MAKE THE ROOM SMELL LIKE A LATRINE.
- 880richp (8/5): Nice Couples Supper - We were looking for a nice place for supper and ended up at the Elite Hotel as I was familiar with the bar area from previous walking visits.
The supper menu is basic, but all the food groups are represented. My wife and I shared an appetizer and then the bbq chicken. It was a very good sized piece of chicken and very delicious. We took 1/2 home for the next day's lunch.
It's not cheap here, and the Heineken beer were $6.00 each which is the most expensive I have seen in Haiti. But the food was good.
It was a Sunday night and there was live music. It was a nice volume which allowed us to also visit with new friends over supper. They have a nice bar which was very busy due in part to the good music.
The grounds are quite nice and there isn't any road noise. You can park in their compound which is safe and secure.
Our server was a young woman, likely fresh out of hospitality school. She had an amazing smile and made all of us feel welcome. But in Haitian tradition, three trips are made back and forth for everything when one would do, C'est la vie ici ! :)
All in all, although a little expensive, it was a very nice evening.
- ZhelevG (6/5): Overprice but this is Haiti.... - I'm on a business trip. Considering where I am, I will give a good estimate of the hotel and restaurant. Disadvantages are like everywhere in Haiti - too expensive for what offers. The advantages - close to the airport and the place to which I travel every day. The pool is ok. Restaurant is ok. Breakfast is ok. Daily menu suggestion, very rarely is a good choice. I recommend the regular suggestions. Saturday evening salsa party, a lot of people there,do not order dinner, the kitchen can not cope and will disappoint you. Order a drink and enjoy the music and dancing :)
- Ronald (10/5): Nice hotel for business close to the airport - The Elite Hotel served my needs for a short business trip to Port-au-Prince. It's less than a 10-minute drive to the airport. The room was immaculately clean with a nice view of the local neighborhood, planes taking off at the airport, and mountains in the distance. Breakfast and coffee by the pool was a great way to start the day. The breakfast, included in the price, was pretty much the same each day. The room was so quiet, I was able to write without distractions and to conduct phone interviews. The wifi was decent, but the bandwidth did not allow me to download videos. The pool was a great place to exercise with some short laps. The location of the gym made it uninviting for me. Dinner at the restaurant can be pricey. The plat du jour (dinner special) was pretty good and reasonably priced. The pizzas were decent, and just like in the States, made for good take-out food. Ordering off the menu allows one to see what the hotel chef can do. S/He offered some lovely meals, with expertly prepared meats, rice/fries/plantations, and delicious vegetables. Because I was traveling alone, the hotel/restaurant staff members were always willing to chat, making me feel right at home.
- ElAzul (6/5): Just another option - very good food. overprice for what it is. eager to help staff. Management could do better. CLEAN ROOMS. .stay away from the buffet. order a la carte. If you don't mind the hot sun or the walk ,there is a supermarket and a cheap ,clean and good restaurant ,25 minute away. Good for business not for tourism. not much to see within waliking distance.
- melindap2014 (8/5): Yummy food! - We loved the pool area and restaurant! The food is very good with many options although the service is slow (typical in Haiti). The drink options are also good with a $4 glass of pretty good red wine! Definitely recommend this restaurant as it is better than the Habitation Hatt Hotel across the street...
- 493hendrikg (8/5): Good hotel!!! - I stayed there for a business trip. Great place to stay. Staff friendly and pleasant. Very good meals and delicious. Breakfast was really good, fresh fruits and juices, fried eggs, bacon... Just love it.
- 404rolfh (6/5): Fine Hotel! - Stayed there for a work trip as well. The Hotel is nice for Haiti standards I guess. Rooms are really fine. Nice airconditioning and tv. Clean rooms and an Ok bed. The food is good. But after 2 weeks you have seen the menu. The grilled whole fish and the rigatoni are real good!! Nice pool to cool down after a hot day. Friendly staff as wel. Sometimes a bit slow but friendly. One thing I didn't like was the breakfast. We had to start at 7 so there was hardly any at that time. But after we discussed this with the owner they managed that. After all a good stay!
- trvlrpdx (8/5): Upscale for Port au Prince - Stayed here for a work trip. Very clean rooms and nice bathrooms. Hot water. Cold aircon. Nice salt water pool, but in the evenings it gets taken over by outside groups. The restaurant serves average food at very expensive prices, but you can order smaller meals from the lunch menu at any time. Wifi works if you are very close to the router on the first floor. Room prices are high, and may not really be worth it, but this is a very comfortable option for the city.
- julierY997LB (10/5): Nice salt water pool - The pool was excellent place to wind down at night. The servers at the bar are very nice and even gave us a free sample of fried plantains. The pool is filled with salt water and is very refreshing way to cool down in heat of Haiti.
- Jekela (8/5): Great Place to Stay - Our entire group loved this place. The rooms were cozy and A/C worked great (a huge plus in this hot and humid climate). The food was always tasty and employees very friendly. The pool and patio are a nice oasis. They even prepared a birthday cake for one of our team members (we had to order and pay for it). I would definitely stay here again. Aside from the occasional power outage (usually not lasting more than a couple of minutes), it was perfect.
- 385karenap (8/5): Nice Change - We found this hotel to be a nice change from where we usually stay in Port Au Prince. The rooms were wonderful with air conditioning all day long we had cable tv with the Disney channel for the kids and local Miami CBS station which was nice. We found the hotel to be kept very clean and the staff was very nice and polite. We enjoyed the pool area very much you would get a nice cool breeze and it was very relaxing! The food was great the breakfast buffet was wonderful in the morning and we found it to be well kept the other food off the menu was also very good food was expensive but normal for other hotels I have stayed at in Haiti. We would definitely stay here again as we felt safe the whole time that we were there and had a very pleasant stay!
- 285susank (4/5): dirty, bad food, unkempt floors - The facility is brand new. The entire place was very dusty and the floors were never cleaned. The food was horrible, and displayed very unhygienic food practices such as uncovered buffets of food with flies all over. The food that you would order off the menu was just as bad, not to mention that they don't have the ingredients for half the items on their menu. They serve sandwiches that are made with the local bread, which I found a piece string baked into, and some unidentifiable black spots. The gym has practically no useable equipment and the space is too small to do anything or be in the room more than one person at a time. The internet is in fact so slow and bad that your device connects but is impractical to try to do anything because nearly nothing works. We have had many problems with connectivity problems, which is reasonable be cause its Haiti, except for the fact this was a particular problem only for our room, that the staff just took too long to address. Haitian hotels cater to a large expat community, everything about this place could definitely be better.
The rooms are air conditioned and quite nice however, and the staff try to be attentive and polite when they understand.
