• Katya (1/5): - NO HOT WATER IN THE ROOM!!! We checked in at 8-30pm and our room had no hot water. The person at front desk was extremely unhelpful. She didn't move us to a different room even though the parking was empty, and next day at breakfast there was very few people in the breakfast area, so I doubt they were fully booked We drove all day and couldn't have shower because of this in the evening. They figured out hot water issue in the morning, so at least we were able to shower before the check out The front end desk person didn't call us or update on what was going on at all. We called her several times that evening and her response was: "I don't know, nobody else complained" We also got no refund - full or partial. Just... no shower at the end of the very long day

The breakfast was EXCELLENT for continental! The food didn’t taste generic like most continental. The breakfast was GOOD! It really was. I’m not sure old the place is but it is very nice and I will definitely book there again if I am in Lubbock and need somewhere to stay. I was there visiting someone at UMC Lubbock and it was easy access and very convenient to get to and from the hospital. I definitely recommend it to anyone. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

• Adella (6/5): - The entrance light to our room didn’t work. So our room seemed very dark. Our first day there was no hot water. Someone took a 10 minute shower before me, but really? So taking a lukewarm to cool shower wasn’t ideal. The sink drain seemed clogged and took awhile for water to drain. The room seemed crammed and and there were multiple tables in our room so felt even tighter. At least it was clean. First and last time there.
• Bryan (8/5): - The room was very clean, the maintenance staff were very good and friendly. However, the front desk person when I arrived acted like she would rather be anywhere else than at work. She was very brusque and when she handed me my key folder the room number was illegible. When I asked her to confirm she seemed very put out. When I got to my room the key cards didn't work. I went back down and told her and she acted like it was my fault. She re-programmed the cards and they worked the second time. When I have had a five hour drive to get to Lubbock this is not the reception I want to get. I am staying at your hotel again in two weeks and if I get the same reception I will change hotels for future reservations. I checked in around 3pm on 10/10.

The booking cited that there would be WiFi, however the WiFi did not work the entire time I was there. I was there for work and needed WiFi. The staff were not helpful when I asked about the WiFi not working.

Her and her manager proceeded to have an argument in front of me as to whether that was the right procedure. Another client walked in, laughed and said, "I can come back later if this isn't a good time." It was pretty awkward.

• Mark (6/5): - Positives: The rooms were clean and tidy. The common areas were equally nice. The housekeeping staff was excellent. The breakfast was very good, a cut above this level of hotel food. Negatives: No iron in the room. When I went to the front desk, the clerk got a beat-up one from the back and said, "I don't know if this works. If it doesn't, we're out of luck.". Nice. No luggage rack in the room. No hair dryer in the room. A single, very uncomfortable chair, (not counting the desk chair. The sidewalk in front of entry doors, all the way to the front of the building was covered in bird crap. Disgusting! Get some bird barrier. The tiles on the outside front side of the building were gone, showing the cement. Any remaining tiles were held on by corner brackets, screwed in place with just to common construction screws. The swimming pool was closed for cleaning for the three nights we stayed. Finally, and this isn't the hotel's fault, this hotel is at least a mile away from civilization. It seems to serve truckers better than visitors.

The house keeper found them and let me know they were in the safe ready for me to retrieve them. At the end of our vacation, we stayed at the same hotel and I got my rings back. I was so happy and really did appreciate their service and honesty. The room was also neat and clean as always. Thanks!
