andrew (8/5): Nice comfortable stay- loved the pool - Loved the swimming pool as it really helped us cool down in the hot afternoons. The free breakfast was simple but good. Rooms were clean and staff were nice. Area was very respectable and safe. Was slight distance from town centre of Paramaribo which is ok if you have a car but less effective for us. Howvever it was a nice safe area with places to eat nearby. The menu on the chalkboard was in Dutch which meant we missed out on ordering some food that we might have preferred.

De kamer was schoon en mooi ingericht met airco en klein koelkastje. Het internet was stabiel. Uitchecken ging soepel. Zeer vriendelijk personeel Een ontbijt een dag eerder bestellen en vervolgens niet goed en volledig aanleveren was niet conform verwachting.

Leo (9/5): Heerlijk hotel met een vriendelijke gastvrije ontvangst. - De medewerkers zijn goud waard. Niks is te gek of teveel. Ontbijt vers klaar gemaakt is zalig en de kamers zijn ruim en schoon. Een heel lekker hotel om je vakantie te beginnen. Ook het avondeten was lekker. De afstand naar het centrum is wel even lopen, maar dat maakte ons niet uit.

De vloer in de douche was niet heel erg schoon, en de houten vloer op de eerste verdieping kraakt nogal bij het lopen, wat 's nachts nogal wat lawaai veroorzaakt.

Le restaurant était aussi bon avec une mention spéciale pour les brochettes de poulet et la sauce maison! S'agissant d''une maison aménagée en hôtel boutique, on entendait tout dans la chambre, notamment le passage et le parquet qui grinçait... Un peu dommage.
Kathleen (10/5): Excellent staff and great place to relax - This is a beautiful little spot about a 20-minute walk from downtown Paramaribo. I also stayed downtown, and can surely say I much prefer being away from the noise and crowds of the city center. Villa Famiri is in a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. You can also walk to downtown though it's not a nice walk (no sidewalks, lots of trash and standing water, lots of traffic). They have a lovely common area and pool so it's great for relaxing. The real gem of this place though is the staff! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, especially Lucy, Kenzo, and Delia! They really treat every guest like royalty. One day our hot water went out (fairly common in Suriname, I think) and they let me shower in one of the rooms in the adjacent building. They also helped with ordering taxis and getting me things like a hairdryer and hot water kettle. I really can't thank the staff enough!

Villa Famiri is a true gem and a destination.

James (9/5): A caring home in Paramaribo - An attractively decorated small hotel in a quiet residential neighbourhood of Paramaribo. What makes this a lovely place to stay above all are the staff members who treat you like a family member and work hard to make sure you are happy, comfortable and safe. This is like having a home in Paramaribo. Paramaribo is not the easiest place to get around, and the area around the hotel is residential, so you will need a taxi or car to go to restaurants. Roads can get easily flooded so it's not really suited to walking.

Tess (8/5): Lovely place in safe area - Animated, friendly staff. Lots of areas to chill. Good breakfast, which you can choose from options each day. It was a bit messy in the communal areas/work in progress around the pool.

Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - I had a really wonderful stay!! This is a beautiful colonial villa that has been totally renovated and upgrade with modern amenities. The common area is very nice with a small pool, fountains, and a great little bar area. Property is a short walk from restaurants and bars, and a longer walk or short drive from most of the city's main attractions. Staff were wonderful. The young lady at reception/the bar was so friendly and made me feel so welcome. She made me a breakfast box "to go" even though I had to leave for the airport at 3:30 AM, and even made me hot coffee! She also helped me call a taxi and a local restaurant for dinner. She was so nice and showed excellent customer service. And the room and the hotel were really lovely, clean and comfortable. I will definitely recommend. Thank you so much!!
Marieke (10/5): Wonderful little hotel close to the city center. - This small hotel provides a very warm welcome and excellent treatment of its customers. Staff is always there to offer services, answer questions, and help out with whatever you need. Beds are comfortable, and the outside terras features a lot of plants, and cosy corners to sit and have a drink. The location is excellent, on walking distance from restaurants, the city center, and facilities (pharmacy, gas station etc) The menu does not provide a lot of healthy foods, mostly fried items (fries, fried cassava, frikandel, etc). There are a lot of little restaurants just around the corner, so there are options to eat elsewhere. But it would be nice to be able to order a salad or anything with vegetables in the restaurant.

Such a good vibe, with the plants, pool and café area. Plus the à la carte breakfast, with a daily surprise, nice touch ladies! All would be just perfect if they could have printed my boarding pass..

Overcharged when asked to pay 200 Surinam for 2 coconuts where evrywhere else they were 30-50 each. Asked for 100 for a hot chocolate when the price list said 80. Charging 50 USD for a taxi from the airport (although late at night would have been cheaper to easily organise oneself)

Seanmiller9 (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel has a very cozy and comfortable feel. The rooms are very comfortable - my room had a small but extremely comfortable single bed, good shower, nice balcony overlooking the street, and a good desk to get work done during the days. Internet was also more than fast enough to let me attend video calls and meetings and to get work done. The highlight was the staff - every worker I met was exceptionally kind, especially Rinesh who went above and beyond to make my stay amazing on several occasions. I only had the breakfast once but it was very good, highlighted by great jams, local juices and eggs! Without a car it's a bit of a long walk into central Paramaribo, at about 20-25 minutes, however it's pretty easy most of the time to catch a shared minibus into downtown. Also, the floor boards squeak a bit in the rooms. Other than that everything was excellent and I will certainly return if I ever come back to Paramaribo!
Mehmet (6/5): Pleasant - it was very basic, could be much better in the time of check out, they did not have a receptionist, needed to check out with a housekeeper who was using hearing aid which did not help the situation. She was not speaking enough English, so it was a hard moment to close my bill and call for a taxi

Arjan (10/5): Perfect stay in a new accommodation - Perfect stay in a new accommodation (one year old). Great shower, good bed and nice outdoor lounge area. Quiet. Only 5 minutes drive to the restaurants in the city center. Staff is professional, attentive and has an eye for detail. Great service and a price/ value is very good. We have stayed here twice now as it is a perfect hub for exploring Paramaribo and the rest of Suriname.

Paige (10/5): Best place in Paramaribo without a doubt! - I utterly love everything about this hotel. It is like a home away from home. A total oasis. Rinesh is the best and all the staff is amazing. The room is spacious, clean, modern, beautifully appointed. The common area has a beautiful outdoor seating and small pool with nice decoration and even waterfalls with soothing sounds and an overall great vibe! I’ve been traveling across South America for 18 months and this hotel is one of the best. Everything was perfect particularly to help rinesh gave me in arranging my stay and travels.

JEAN CLAUDE (8/5): - Dommage le petit déjeuner n était pas assez copieux j ai fait une cure d omelette et toujours le même jus qui est servit au petit déjeuner A force j ai attrapé la gastro L’heure pour avoir la chambre à partir de 15 H je trouve qu’on aurait dû donner les chambre à midi vous vous tapez 6 H de route pour arriver à l hôtel et les chambres sont à partir de 15 H C est dommage

Hotel personnel go the extra mile to fulfill your requests, and serve some delicious cocktails. Breakfast is sober, but you can specify your preferences the night before. Would definitely visit again!
