- Madeleine (8/5): Schöne Pension in wunderbarem Garten - Schöne Zimmer und vor allem mit wunderschönem Garten und Pool. Innerhalb vom Gate hat es einen Parkplatz. Es ist nahe an der Strasse, was nachts gut zu hören ist. Leider haben nicht alle Zimmer eine Küchenecke und somit fehlte Besteck und Teller. Würde nächstes Mal so ein Zimmer buchen. Das Frühstück ist sehr sehr teuer, für das was es gibt. Darum lieber eine kleine Küche und selbst versorgen.

Stale bread, overcooked boiled eggs, cheap coffee Location - beside a busy main road and some distance from a poor, coral strewn beach. We had assumed from the pictures and the name that the property opened onto the beach - the advertising photos were cleverly misleading (albeit quite accurate). The rooms were sparsely furnished with little attempt at comfort - pretty basic. No coffee or tea in room.

- Wendy (8/5): - Good area for snorkeling, shopping and transportation. Staffs are friendly. Bed is firm and comfortable. The kitchen wares are limited. No covers for the pot and pan. Dog poofs around the front door of the unit and has been there for a few days, no cleaning.

The only down is the roosters are 4 am... but they were all over the island so I guess that's a Tahiti thing! Highly reccomend

- Zoltan (10/5): Affordable stay in the paradise. - It was just wonderful, walk across the street and you are on one of the nicest beach. Gated security for the cars too, lockbox for money and passports, nice garden and pool. The roosters come around 5.00 am. Good aircon, internet was ok most of the time, some shaky signals a few times.

- Julie (8/5): Very convenient, comfortable, and affordable stay for my solo Tahiti trip - Great accommodations for my solo travels on this trip- the location is convenient with quick access to a convenient store, grocery store, museum, beach, and main road. It was nice to stay close, but far enough away from Papeete, to not deal with the traffic as much. The courtyard has beautiful plants, cute chickens, and welcoming staff & vibe. Room is comfortable with A/C and fan, too. Just a small suggestion, not a biggie- just wish they had complimentary coffee in the morning!

The property is in a quiet area, yet close to shopping, including a 24-hour store, making it very convenient. There’s also a car park available on-site, which is a great bonus. The rooms are comfortable, equipped with air conditioning and a fridge, offering everything you need for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended!
- MARTY (10/5): - We arrived after dark, and Vincent was kind enough to stay up and open the gate for us. He then showed us a video of the rooms, near by shopping, and local attractions. The public beach is a short 5 minute walk away and was beautiful. I wish we had more time to snorkel and relax on the beach. We will be back in two weeks to spend a day here before catching our flight home to Arizona. A nice place to relax.

Limited restaurants and they close in the afternoon so we ate from a gas station with limited food. Need a car. Beach across the street looked nice, but didn’t use we only stayed few hours waiting for late flight. For the money it was good.
- samar (8/5): - A perfect spot for a night or a week in Tahiti. Tastefully furbished cottages with full kitchens. Free daily breakfast and salt water pool. This location is directly across the street from the beach and next door to a convenience mart / gas station. A very good spot for families on a budget .
- Troy (8/5): Good guesthouse in Tahiti - I stayed at Pension de la Plage for almost a week. The location is good, being on the west side of Tahiti, and is close enough to Papeete that the major dive organizations will pick you up here if diving is part of your trip. There is a small park across the street, a small combination grocery store and gas station next door, and a great snorkeling reef within walking distance. The rooms at Pension de la Plage are comfortable, and my room had a small kitchen with basic cook wear and utensils. For those who don't want to cook breakfast there is a breakfast available for purchase. I would consider staying here again if I ever travel back to Tahiti.

- Lori (10/5): Absolutely perfect! Charming and authentic Tahiti - Absolutely perfect! This little oasis was the perfect place to stay on our stopover to Bora Bora. I only wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely place! Vincent, the owner, waited up for our late arrival and escorted us to our room, showed us a lovely video about the property, and arranged everything we needed. After a midnight dip in the garden pool, I slept like a baby. AC worked great and room was very comfortable! I only hope the rest of our trip is this lovely! My teenage daughter, who loves the high-end hotels, said that this was her favorite place because it is so charming and authenticly Tahiti and that everyone needs to stay here when in Tahiti.
- Michael (8/5): Great for a night - Good for a night when you arrive or a night before a flight. Comfortable, friendly, the owner was very kind in explaining everything the place has to offer, including the very nearby beach and snorkeling opportunities. The 24 hr store next door was useful for various food options. Not where I'd base an entire vacation, but pleasant enough and outside of Papeete enough to enjoy the natural beauty of this island.

The room had everything we might need. The beds were comfortable and the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable (we did not speak French , but they spoke enough English to understand each other. Absolutely brilliant snorkeling just across the street, maybe couple hundred meters. Bring your trunks and some food to prepare and sit on the balcony and enjoy the biodiverse surroundings that have been arranged

An authentic, cosy, simple “pension de famille” that feels local and h - It feels like a step back into my childhood but in all the right ways. Simply decorated, the rooms were spacious with the added bonus of the small terrasse. The bathroom is simple but does the job and the pool was simple and warm and a nice little spot to cool off. It is simple but yet it felt cosy and the owners are just so kind and helpful. You cannot fault them. It is a small establishment, right by the main road and a Mobil station but I didn’t feel too bothered by the traffic. It is right across the road from a nice beach access with snorkelling and not far from a supermarket and more (walking distance). You know when you go there that it will be simple so unless your expectations are resort-like, there is nothing much that you can dislike about this pension. Maybe some glasses in the room (those without the kitchen) would be a nice addition but really not a biggie

- Gail P (10/5): - I had just finished a 2 week stay in the French Polynesian Islands and just wanted to spend 2 nights relaxing and enjoying the beach. I was a little anxious about being by myself after spending the past 2 weeks with 12 people. What a lovely surprise to be greeted by Vincent and shown to my room. He explained the area to me, how to get to restaurants and the beach and he even ordered my taxi for 530 on the morning of my departure. It is a gated facility, very secure with a lovely pool surrounded by beautiful large rooms with a kitchen area and nice size bath room and patio with a front and rear entrance. They did have breakfast available but I chose to buy some groceries and just had coffee in the outside covered eating area next to the pool. The beach, restaurants and shops were within close walking distance. I took a cab from and to the airport. And is was very reasonable. Highly recommended.
