Guest Reviews
- Md Amirul (4/5): - It is ok for the local people only and the most bad thing within 1 km there is no place to eat and no super market or 7/11 type shops. The most bad place so far i used from Expedia
- Robert (10/5): Excellent Stay - Excellent. Friendly staff and wonderful service.
- Aaron D. (10/5): - It was kinka hidden, but shower was good
- Fernanda (6/5): - era sujo
- Kerlos (8/5): - It was a fantastic place good respectful people they do their best to help but the only thing that needs to improve is the communication way
- Ann (10/5): - This hotel is perfect for airplane layover, the staff working over there are really helpful, one of them used her personal phone help me order food.
- Anthony (10/5): - Very good for close to airport well looked after👍
- Yusuke (4/5): - 空港からの送迎バスが時間通りに来ず、寒い中で1時間以上待たされました。
- BEIHUA (10/5): - Very good hotel to stay for flight transfer.
- Peter (8/5): - Great friendly staff and service made my holiday very enjoyable. China is sa fabulous country.very friendly helpful & hospitable. The only inconvenience was the limited access to major metros. Very friendly people
- David (2/5): Do you blame Hotels.com or This Hotel???? Dirty - Worst hotel experience ever. Dirty. Don’t speak English but in English says to call this number for shuttle from airport. Spent more on taxi than room cost. I hate hotels.com for not vetting these hotels better.
- Keigo (10/5): - Good ‼️
- rene (2/5): 英語対応は皆無 - 空港ピックアップのために言われた電話番号にかけましたが別の番号を案内されてその番号は繋がらなかった。
結局ホテルにはいけませんでした。
- Richard (2/5): Filthy run down miles from anywhere - Let me just preface this with “we only have ourselves to blame because we should have known when it was very very cheap” but……..
The place was a filthy mess stuck out in some dicey suburb that was (a plus) 15 mins by shuttle bus from the airport. Nothing in the area you would consider eating at and certainly no other shops or services. But the place was a dire rundown 1 1/2 star hotel with absolutely filthy stained carpet, black mould all over the bathrooms and everything in very poor repair. The toilet was new, and the sheets and towels were well laundered but it was an unpleasant experience to stay there. In the room opposite they had a gambling den that went all night and I’ve added a photo from the morning after which sums up the whole experience.
So this hotel is cheap! It does have an airport shuttle (shared with other cheapies nearby) but I recommend you spend a bit more and stay anywhere but here. Be warned there are a few hotels owned by the same group in that area too judging by their listings
- Ossama (2/5): - 1- The hotel is in nowhere and not recommend .
2- I waited 1.5 for bus pickup in the morning.
3- Staff said no bus afternoon or night and I have to pay for taxi.
- lennart (4/5): Clean sheets but that's it - Not clean! Dirty under sink in shower & stained carpet
- Bachir (8/5): - It was a very nice hotel when it was new, but it's still a nice place to stay in. The airport shuttle doesn't run on the schedule provided, they have one shuttle that runs once an hour. I ended up taking a taxi from the airport the taxi cost was 84 Yuan because it was late at night
- Ravichandran (10/5): - N/a
- Gemi (10/5): - Spacy
- Jorge (2/5): - This place smells like grandma cooking rotten rats and it smells wet, almost likely it is moldy, the walls are falling apart. The carpet is so dirty and ugly and very old. A very rundown hotel. But cheap. I liked that it was just cheap but I won’t be booking this hotel again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Unfortunately it is situated in the middle of nowhere and extremely hard to get to anywhere .
- WENWEI (10/5): - Convenient airport shuttle. Quiet environment. The room is big. Friendly staff. Clean. Free bottle water. Electric kettle for hot water
- David (10/5): - I liked that everyone was kind, although almost nobody speaks English they made the effort to make me feel welcomed and understand me, the only thing I did not like is that the wifi is really slow but besides that everything was awesome, the breakfast is really tasty! 🤗
- Vladimir (10/5): - Location close to the Shanghai Pudong airport. Very helpful staff. Offers free shuttle to/from airport (I did not have a chance to use it though)
- Wayne (4/5): - Very remote area, no restaurants around, not a convenient place to stay
- Katie (2/5): - Said there was a free shuttle as soon as you text them they will be there within 30 minutes. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for the shuttle. Our room was disgustingly dirty, the shop next door didn’t take card and no one wanted to help us. The cleanliness of our room really put us off eating or doing much as it was so dirty.
- Phyllis (8/5): - The free airport shuttle is the main reason I picked this hotel. However it took a while for the bus to come. On the way back to the airport the next morning the shuttle bus was so crowded so I ended standing by the door for the entire 10 min ride. Good thing was that they dropped me off at the subway station. Since I was going to the city, no need to go back to the airport. The breakfast was good, especially the stirred fried vegetables.
- PAUL (2/5): Never will I book it again - Please remove this hotel from your list,
- Laura (10/5): Bang for you buck! - Considering the price, this place was incredibly good value for money. Decent-sized room and bathroom. Clean. Comfortable bed and cute, peaceful view. Very close to DisneyLand (20 min drive) which is the main purpose of our visit. Breakfast was minimal choice-wise but very delicious!
- Jennifer (6/5): Airport hotel - Good enough for an airport hotel. A place to sleep.
- Robert (6/5): Room was nice/clean, but my reservation was lost - Although they did offer airport pick-up even during Covid, once the driver picked me up, he kept looping around to wait and pick up others, and even after we started heading to the hotel, he got another call and we all went back to pick up more people. So, it took a long time to get to the hotel. Then once at the hotel, they did not have my reservation although my wife had called ahead to confirm it. I showed them the confirmation from Hotels.com, but they could not find it. Fortunately, they still had rooms available, and the room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient stay for overnight transfer - Only 10 minute to and from Pudong airport with their free shuttle. I spend a night for an overnight transfer. Quick and easy, clean and fast.
- Leo (8/5): - Every people very nice and very room every clean I and very live
- Leo (8/5): - Every peoples nice and room clean I love the hotel
- Yi (10/5): - Very spacious and clean room, powerful water pressure and efficient room heating. Shuttle service extremely convenient. Very close to Airport and Disneyland. There are two big fashion outlets around too. They send you a full instructions for shuttle bus as well as some handy tips after you make your booking. Very friendly and helpful staff members. Breakfast was amazing too! I have stayed in a few hotels in this area for business purposes. This hotel is definitely my favourite one. I would definitely recommend.
- Kristen (6/5): Average hotel with terrible service - This hotel was very average, which I expected from the reviews. The building is very nice, and the lobby is beautiful. My room was clean, very comfortable, and had good amenities. The location was close to the airport and also to Disney, which is why I booked it. However, the times the bus leaves to Disney was not useful, as it would have arrived well after opening time and the lines to get in are very long. I flew to China just to go to Disney, so I had to take a taxi to Disney to get there early for the line. The taxi was not a real taxi, and the front desk was terribly unhelpful, like impossible. Everything simple that I asked for, and I am an airline employee who has been to over 80 countries so I do not usually need much, was next to impossible to communicate or receive. I stayed for the price, location, and the easy cancellation rules, but I don't think I would go back to this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was good. Very few western items on breakfast menu.
- Mike (2/5): - The place was dirty and run down. Receptionist could not speak any English. No lifts, I had to carry heavy suitcases up to the third floor
- Sumit (2/5): - It was not so good experience, the hotel has ants in the room.
- Ange (6/5): Close to Pudong Airport - This is a great hotel for access to the airport. It is quite far from the city centre though. The breakfast was yummy - all Chinese choices. We had a city tour booked for one day and asked the hotel to book a taxi to take us to the city. The hotel staff said it would take about an hour and cost 150 CNY. It wasn’t a proper taxi, I think just someone’s family member. We ended up late to the tour because he drove so slowly (a rarity in China I think) and took 1 hour 40 mins and demanded 200 CNY. I wish they had just ordered a normal taxi for us. Or suggested we catch the Metro train from the airport (they said a taxi would be the only way to get there).
Apart from that, it is a good hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice property - Was only there for one night but I would start there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We like the shuttle bus service, Don’t have to worry how to get to the hotel. Have to call them when we arrived and they come to pick us up, We loved the free breakfast never expect so much choice just for breakfast hot meals. The room is also very spacious.. only stayed for one night so no time to check the area, Will definitely stay
there again. The name of the hotel was called New Knight Royal Hotel in English not Xin June Royal Hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good - The hotel is convenient if you need free shuttle bus to airport at wee hour.
Check-in is fast if you can speak Mandarin.
I like the strong water pressure.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to airport and provide free shuttle bus to the airport . Perfect for over night traveling . Free breakfast .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - very friendly staffs and room is big and clean although took a bit of more time to wait for ride at the airport but is okay.
- Anne (6/5): Pleasant Stay - My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The reason for us staying at this hotel was mainly to provide us an affordable accommodation that can give us a free shuttle ride to Shanghai Disneyland. If you know mandarin and if you have their local sim, you can text/call the hotel or driver to pick you up after your visit from Shanghai Disneyland. It's located in a residential area and very far from the main part of the city but it provides a free shuttle to&from the Pudong International Airport and their nearest metro station. Their breakfast didn't have a lot of options. The just serve a bunch of meatless steamed buns, fried rice and fried noodles. Their rooms don't have a refrigerator. However, they have their own convenience store with very affordable prices. Most of their staff don't speak English. It would be very handy if you have a translation app so you can communicate with them. They also have a good internet signal.
Here's a tip if you're coming from the airport:
Go to the airport's info booth at the arrival hall(it has a large "?" sign) and you can have them call this hotel (just show them the hotel's contact details) to pick you up from the airport. The driver usually parks his shuttle at the 2nd floor of the parking lot across the arrival exit gate. He usually comes to you. If you're in doubt, ask him if he carries the hotel's calling card or make sure he leads you to the hotel's shuttle van. The driver doesn't wear a uniform and cannot speak English.
- Stephan (8/5): Nice hotel, but limited or no English - Very nice hotel, rooms are top notch.
Only issue is when I called from the states, they mentioned in English they had 24 hour free shuttle I could use from the airport.
However, when my flight arrived at 2am (due to delay), when I called them, no one on staff spoke English so I could not request the shuttle or inquire if it was coming. I instead used a Taxi from the airport which was a reasonable 52 RMB. Was then able to check in to my reserved room fine despite the language barrier.
The next day (or later that day technically), I was able to use their free shuttle service to return to the airport and there was some English speaking staff on hand during the day.
Despite this small hiccup, I enjoyed my stay there, it was a great price, and the facilities are great and clean. I may choose that location again if the price stay competive.
(One other caveat: when using an iPhone, clicking on the hotel map location from the Expedia app takes you to the wrong location on the map app. Using the google app instead and searching for the hotel there yields the right location.)
- amir (10/5): - Grt staff , went beyond to help me out. Shittle service available on the hour to airport
- Kennedy (6/5): Average Hotel. - Had average experience. Main problem is that almost all staff do not speak English but they are generally helpful.
- james (8/5): review - good
- Verified traveler (10/5): clean and quiet. Staffs are very friendly
- The computer system and booking tickets required membership. Front desk staff were going beyond her duty to help me. She booked tickets for me.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Meh - Overall this was an ok hotel. It's in a very odd location so you don't feel very comfortable walking around. Most of the staff were encountered were friendly enough. We were only there for a long layover, but I'd you need something longer then I'd pay a little more for a better location.
- Hong (8/5): Good service - Good service! They send me to airport :)
Breakfast can be improve a bit.
- Pei Yin (6/5): Not to convenient for leisure traveller - Convenience store is not have too many variety of item. Very close to Pudong Airport.
- Aston Ambrose (8/5): Nice hotel. Language barrier - Trying to contact hotel as I left items, painting etc in room, but no reply at all.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel near airport with nice staff and driver - I reserved a room for my wife who arrived at PVG airport late evening. The hotel has a nice group of staff and drivers. They pick up my wife at the airport and also drive her to the airport after checking out. They changed the room for my wife to a better room with strong wifi signal. The room is clean and is worthy. I am definitely happy to recommend this hotel to my friends.
