Guest Reviews
- Mario (6/5): - IT WAS CHEEPER THEN OTHER'S IN THE SAME AREA
- James (2/5): - I was given the wrong room after given key to the room. Front door damaged. Bathroom door damaged. Wholes and mold on the walls. Mold in the bathroom, I couldn’t shower. Little friends crawling around the room, I had to keep everything on top of the bed, including shoes. And I was forced out before my checkout time.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't stay here unless you have to - Cockroach, beer cans, no shower pressure, $158 room wasn't clean no hot wateer. Cheapest place in hotels.com
- Verified traveler (8/5): SUPERIOR 4 a "mom & pop" - Pleasant for the PRICE! - No hassle booking for HALF the price of "chain" motels. FRIENDLY front desk check-in at NOON! Room was "NO frills" for sure -but the bed linens were FRESH and SPOTLESS. The room's flooring, along with the entire bathroom (and towels), were CLEAN. The A/C worked - and didn't smell as is so often the case in more expensive places that I've paid twice as much for. A great surprise. A good deal - if you're not a prissy complainer like so many of the reviewers who OBVIOUSLY (and totally unrealistically) expect "the Ritz" for "two bits" - so I recommend it highly - for REASONABLE people, that is. I will certainly stay there again if I need a place to sleep and eat my take-out before I get back on the road. Cheers!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - absolute last resort
only positives: sheets were clean, towels were clean and staff responded
- Richard (2/5): - The place is a mess. Nothing like the online photos.
- Janisset R (2/5): - Terrible service. The person on the front desk was usually in the back, sleeping. The room was in a very poor condition. Some lamps did not work, and the toilet was missing the top for the water tank. It was really a dissatisfaction to stay here. I won’t come back.
- Abby (2/5): - Had no choice but to stay at this motel, I would have rather slept in my car. The price was unbelievable expensive and room was horrible. Not recommend
- irena (2/5): Worse motel EVER - I wouldn't wish the worse enemy to stay in this place. The room was filthy, filled with roaches and other bugs, sheets had multiple cigarette holes, mattress had bed bugs...
Sleeping on the street is a better option!!
On top of that, room was $190.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nasty place
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Paid for 4 nights. Stayed only one night. That’s how bad it was.!!
- Robert (2/5): - We typically stay in a room based on a combination of low price and expedia reviews. This one appeared decent enough. As we travel to sight see, hotels are only a place to sleep. We've stayed in older and worn-out hotels plenty of times, but as long as there is a clean bed, shower and sink, we make do. This by far was the worst hotel I've ever been in that I can remember. Dust, dirt, gray-ish bath towels and dark blue sheets (I'm used to white sheets so I can get a sense of cleanliness). Nothing in this room was clean, from the microwave to the cobwebs to the wall stains/marks to the holes/cracks. Had there been anywhere else in the area that wasn't $hundreds more a night during our stay, we would have left. If we had 2 bench seats in the rental car, we would have slept there. Should truthfully be health inspected.
- JOHN (2/5): FLA - It sucked
- James (2/5): - Expensive and run down
- Nancy (2/5): - It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at!
thank God I only paid $72
room was filthy microwave stunk
dirt andholes in the walls ceiling falling apart cable TV had only one channel don’t recommend it except that it’s very close to the airport and staff were nice
- Shangchun (2/5): - They don’t accept my Expedia reservation. I have to find another hotel
- Robert (2/5): - The room was filthy sheets were old and stained. Bed was poorly made Refrigerated had rotting food. Homeless people hanging out in parking lot and in one room with door open all night. Worst $84 I ever spent.
- Ariel (2/5): - I not lake service
- Verified traveler (2/5): - it was an awful place with broken furniture, stripped walls, and very high smoke. I didn't stay in this place and made a refund
- Sandra (2/5): - Really nasty place, with broken door
- Michael (2/5): - not only was i lied to, i was physically threatened and told i would be “dealt with” if i called travelocity again.
- Tom (2/5): - After receiving a room that somebody else was in I requested a refund and was asked to leave and was denied a refund. Very rude management disrespectful. Police called
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible, cucarachas caminando por las paredes, todo sucio con mal olor, ni papel de baño había, y súper caro, no se lo recomiendo a nadie
- Melinda (4/5): - This day was supposed to be cancelled. I had made arrangments at cadillac motel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bedbugs - This place has bedbugs the sheets wear dirty the toilet was leaking all on the floor me and my fiance got bitten up by bedbugs pretty bad she had allergic reaction to the bites
- Steve (8/5): - Clean and affordable
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bed bugs, bed bugs, bed bugs, bed bugs, bed bugs, bed bugs, bed bugs.
- Steve (6/5): - The Motel served its purpose. i needed a place to sleep close to work at a reasonable price. On the whole the room was fine On my last day I came home and someone had packed all my things up. This was a bit disturbing. There was a refrigerator but it was not working. Bed was comfortable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bugs everywhere moldy stinks poor lighting water was not clean
- DaleHadley (2/5): - It was horrible. Dirty, sink and shower didnt work and leaked all over the floor cause the pipes were not connected. They were literally pulled away from the wall. The remote for the tv didnt work. Someones dirty clothes were in the cabinets. The drawers were full of mold and the bottoms were falling out of the drawers so bad that you couldnt use them everything just fell out the bottom. The shower was discusting. We told the staff they said they couldnt do anything about it. If they cant.......who can. Its awful that i paid 200 dollars for a room worth 30 or 40 at very best. There are pictures of a pool......theres no pool!!!! They literally took the picture somewhere else and put it on there website. Ill never use orbitz or cadillac motel again. Ones a rip off and one supports getting people ripped off by them. Ill be sure to speak of this to everyone i know and rest assured will do my best to keep anyone i can from being letdown and lied to for that much money
- Barbara (4/5): Unhappy in Sarasota - When we arrived, we were told to come back in an hour or more, and that we could not have the king sized bed as booked, but we could have two doubles at no extra charge or go someplace else. We finally got in after 1:30 PM (it had been advertised as 10:30 on).
The room had no working smoke detector, a broken toilet seat, holes in the bathroom door, an air conditioner that wasn’t working right, bare electric wire under the desk and a TV that we could not turn on!
The next day, a staff person showed us how to turn it on, but the remote could not control the volume. He came back and showed us the button at the side to do it manually.
The inside of the dresser drawers were dusty. We did not find any pests as previous people reported.
Both Friday and Saturday morning, a crew arrived to bulldoze an area near our room. They did move their dump truck so that I could get our car moved. Before 8 AM on Saturday, they unloaded a roller to get the area ready for paving.
The maintenance is not being kept up.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The non smoking room wreaked of smoke. Electrical outlet next to bed did not work. The toiled seat was literally broken in half. I saw antennas of some obviously large insect extending from the holes in the sink. Things were broken and missing. I should have left upon signing in but didn’t. My clothes still smell of stale cigarette smoke. It goes on
- Lauren (2/5): Unsafe & Unclean. - Bugs all around the flat, previous guests dirty socks still in bath room and people tryed to break into our motel not once but twice in one night! Stay away you have been warned.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There were two holes in the bathroom (almost like someone punched the door). The tv wouldn’t turn off, and it was on before we even got to the room. We didn’t have any toilet paper. When we checked in, we couldn’t go into the lobby. Instead, there was this little slit in the window where you could slide things in. Couldn’t understand him the whole time because of the glass right in front of his face.
- Marc (2/5): - I loved the giant red dildo and used condoms behind tbe phone that came readily available in our room. OH and the consistent freezing cold water that never reached room Temperature for me to wash the filth of my hands from merrily touching room door handle . That was real nice, i liked that .
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I don’t recemend this Place Because it was really deerty and the rooms are in condition.AND they didn’t even give us our money back
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a good low cost Property, quiet Rooms and good beds. For a Low cost place, it is very good.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Ac stopped working room was miserable I have pictures of the ac freezing over. Beds were very uncomfortable. People standing outside at night drinking and smoking. Tv was missing buttons to turn it on. I called the front desk they said they were sending someone to help with the tv and that person never came. The toilet was leaking from the bottom. I spent two days like that. On the last day I was told check was at 11am. Then people started asking when I was leaving it wasn’t even 9am. Then the last guy that came must’ve been the owner and I told him that the people that checked me in said I could leave at 11am. Just a terrible experience. Also the second day no one came to clean the room. I was shocked when I called they said I had to be put on the list to be cleaned and I can get service I said but I check out tomorrow so the room was never cleaned.
- Tom (2/5): - Mold and cockroaches
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty walls, bathroom had alot of mold in shower. Bed was good. Refrigerator, microwave was good. No ice machine, but managers gave me some.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a a low cost hotel, but very nice for the money. Staff is very good and approachable. Not super quiet, but convenient. Given the cost, it is as good as you will find in Sarasota this time of year.
- Dom (2/5): Local - The owner is very nasty he told me to leave the next morning from Pryor weeks ago when somebody else was staying there they had an argument boyfriend and girlfriend had argument and since they had argument even though I was not there I was banned from the property this guy is very nasty he doesn't deserve to have a business
- Manda (2/5): Keep Driving - This place was terrible and it was more expensive than all the other places we stayed during our road trip. Check in was rude, when we entered the room we noticed window was left open, the fridge was unplugged and there was a big hole in the bathroom door. The towels were stained, the shower was covered in soap scum and hairs. It appeared that they had attempted a remodel and didn't maintain it or clean it on the regular. They had no ice, no coffee and no breakfast. I repeat, no coffee makers in the room, no coffee in the lobby, NO COFFEE! Coffee and ice are basic staples for a hotel.
For me the worst place was the area. It was not safe. We were the only out of town license plate in the packed parking lot and there was drugs and prostitution happening all night. I saw some really shady behavior from one of the owners the next morning that makes it seem like they are complicit in the activities happening on their property.
You would be better off staying in your car at a rest stop, you would save the money and get the same amenities.
- Lorie (8/5): - Room was safe and clean but out of date. I would stay again though.
- Beticus (2/5): DIVE MOTEL ALONG DRUG STRIP - The hotel staff were not very receptive. The hotel is clustered amongst a group of other small, dirty motels that house drunks and social outcasts. The hotel room was supposedly non-smoking, however when entering the room, the air was dank and drenched in smoke vapours of cigarettes. Also, there were no sundry items like towels or soaps readily available in the room - it was necessary to go back to reception in order to beg for some - unbelievable.
There are better accommodations in downtown Baghdad - DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL.
- Rosemarie (6/5): Good for price and location - It was good for the price
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible experience - Horrible experience first room toilet was overflowed and floor was soaked. Took about 25min to get new room one door down. Went in that room and opened refrigerator to see it was not on and food had been left inside of it to turn rotten. Called about that and nothing was done so I went in previous room and switched out the refrigerators myself.
- Ken (6/5): Cadillac Hotel Stay - Good location for the price, nothing fancy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s was a lot better than I expected from reading the other reviews. I would definetly stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to refer a friend.
- Austin (6/5): Over priced - It's was over priced for the limited hotel
- Jacob (10/5): Clean and recently remodeled! - Room was clean and I was promptly checked in. Very close to the gulf!
- Maribel (10/5): - Very friendly staff! Great location
