Those that know will understand 😅
Thank you guys once again, we look forward to seeing you again soon. Love Richard and Michelle xx I’ve had to think about this? No tea spoon in our room but considering that we only gave them 10min notice we can forgive 😂🫶
- Rob (9/5): Awel y mor - Beautiful location overlooking beach and estuary. Colin and Philippa were perfect hosts eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible and serving up delicious and substantial breakfasts. The house was immaculate and tastefully furnished. - Donna (10/5): Wonderful location, beautiful property, fantastic hosts - Literally everything, the location - right at the heart of the sea front - 1 minute walk to the beach, fantastic room and property, so clean, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was amazing - lovely veggie but the hosts will cook whatever you choose. The hosts themselves are so friendly and accommodating - they really made us feel at home. This place is a real gem in the heart of Aberdyfi - and great value for money. Thanks so much for our stay it was fantastic. Nothing. It was perfect.
- Chloe (10/5): Perfect -
- vivian (9/5): Heel goede keus, geweldig gelegen, schoon, prima ontbijt - Zeer smaakvol en prachtige kamer met uitzicht op zee, bovenste verdieping. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame verhuurster. Niks
- John (10/5): Lovely - Our third visit. Exceptional welcome. Lovely house. Fabulous view from the windows of our room. Excellent breakfast. Large room with bath and shower. Easy parking in the car park across the road for a reasonable fee.
- Laura (10/5): A little bit of sea breeze - Phillipa and Colin are national treasures and should be treated as such. The Awel y Mor offers beautiful rooms, right on the sea front. It is spotlessly clean with excellent attention to detail. Phillipa is the hostess with the mostess and goes the extra mile to make her guests feel welcomed and comfortable, Colin is an excellent cook, and the food provided was fresh, locally sourced and cooked to perfection. I honestly can not say enough nice things about our time at Awel y Mor, and we very much look forward to returning next year. The fact I had to come home, back to reality, and won't be greeted by the lovely phillipa tomorrow morning for breakfast.
- Alex (10/5): A lovely, relaxing few days away! - A very relaxing stay with Philippa and Colin. They couldn’t have been more accommodating.
The room was fantastic and breakfast was superb. It’s a little slice of heaven right on the sea front of Aberdovey.

- Findlay (10/5): -
- Timothy (10/5): This is by far the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. Everything was sparkling from the shower right through - Absolutely everything! Nothing. It was superb.
- Martin (10/5): -
- Debbi (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Sharon (10/5): Abel y Mor is a lovely B&B that makes every visitor feel like family and a VIP, all at once. - The Away with the Gulls room was huge, perfect for my teenage son and I, with several comfy chairs and 2 twin beds. The view was beautiful and it even had a little balcony off back. It was lovely to leave the windows open and it was very quiet at night. The bathroom was very clean and fresh as well. Everything we needed was provided! The cooked-to-order breakfasts were delicious and they accommodated my preference for gluten-free toast. I would love to stay there again. We could hear the tv in the room next to us on very late which wasn’t ideal. This property is not appropriate for anyone who likes to be up very late, talking loud, playing music, etc. It has a very calm, peaceful feel, which was ideal for us.
- Adele Snailum (10/5): Great welcome, great food, and a great location - The lady was very welcoming and the house and room were tastefully decorated. The location was excellent, opposite the beach. The breakfast was excellent with multiple choices and the bacon and sausages came from a local butcher. Take-aways and pubs are within walking distance. The seagulls made a bit of noise during the night. Car parking was limited to stays of 45 minutes from 9am to 6pm, but you could park for free overnight if you found a space.
- Lesley (10/5): - What made it special were the hosts and the decor.
- Christopher (10/5): - Lovely stay Phillipa was lovely and Colin's sausages were to die for - superb breakfast definitely stay again10out of 10 Nothing
- Wendy (10/5): Wonderful short break in an ideal location. What a perfect B&B. The breakfast was not only delicious but there was a - Fantastic location with a panoramic view of the sea. Impeccably clean and comfortable with the most welcoming hosts. One of the best B&B’s we’ve ever stayed in. Simply nothing to dislike.
- Jane (10/5): Amazing B & B - Gorgeous, well presented, lovely outdoor space at the rear of property, beautifully clean, great breakfasts and lovely hosts Nothing
- Karen (10/5): Excellent accommodation and hospitality - The hospitality shown by both Colin and Philippa was outstanding. The accommodation was beautiful throughout, our room lacked nothing, clean, bright, spacious and had a fantastic view over the beach and the estuary. There was lots of choice for breakfast, and it was beautifully presented and of high quality, we appreciated the flexibility around breakfast times to accommodate our plans. Quite frankly a diamond of find, and one of the best places we have stayed.
- Michael (10/5): Was quite breezy but we had a great time in Aberdovey. - Very nice location looking out over the estuary. Close to a few nice restaurants too. We particularly liked Sea Breeze and Coast.
A tasty and substantial breakfast was served every day. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here next time.
- Tony (10/5): -
- John (10/5): We are very fond of Aberdyfi and we left Awel y Mor even more so. - Everything really. Very clean, comfortable accommodation with super-welcoming hosts. The breakfasts were really something to look forward to when we woke up and gave us a great start to the day. The house is beautifully positioned for all that we wanted to do, even though we didn't have a sea-view. Hosts very helpful with information and advice as well as arranging car-parking. Nothing. Enjoyed it all.
- Subomi (10/5): -
- Kathryn (10/5): - The breakfast was delicious and the owners were really helpful and friendly. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Nothing - it was a lovely stay
- Clifton (10/5): -
- Diane (10/5): Home from home relaxing weeks break - Our stay at this delightful B & B run by a lovely couple was fabulous from start to finish, I had an unfortunate accident on our first day just as we arrived and Phillipa was so kind and looked after me until I got over the shock. The room was very comfortable with a fantastic sea view, we had two armchairs and also a small settee so were able to relax after a day's walking and sightseeing. The bed was so comfortable also and with loads of room, it was definitely bigger than a King Size. Colin is an excellent chef and everything we sampled at breakfast was fabulous, I particularly liked his home made Compote with greek yogurt and the omelettes, the full Welsh was always excellent too. The bathroom was a generous size with shower over bath, we prefer a walk in shower but we knew this when we booked, the view from the room won us over and didn't disappoint. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anybody staying in Aberdovey. Nothing
- Lucy (10/5): Highly recommended! - The location is picturesque, you’ve got the beach on your doorstep with excellent high quality food choices practically next door to the property. (I particularly recommend Walkers Fish and Chip shop, booking into the Seabreeze and Luna and Blus tapas and wine bar)
The rooms are well decorated - very clean and airy. The bed was extremely comfortable (for reference I suffer with back issues and normally am quite uncomfortable in hotels but it was -excuse the pun- a dream). The shower/bathroom is also just as good with a rainfall shower head and excellent quality on towels/loo roll to boot.
The hosts: I want to give special mention to them, we were greeted by Philippa with a very warm welcome and she happily gave us all the information and guided us around the property as well as then keeping in touch with us throughout asking how our stay is and what our plans were, making any recommendations along the way. A real personal touch. Colin was also lovely and makes an impeccable Welsh breakfast fresh each morning.
We genuinely could not have asked for more and we will be back!
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Jackie (9/5): Very enjoyable stay in Aberdyfi amazing beach - Excellent location, lovely breakfast, nicely decorated Nothing
- Ros (10/5): Warm, well-coming and generally lovely B&B - It has to be promoted: how wonderfully welcoming and attentive Philippa is. She makes guests feel pampered and indulged and is very charming. Great attention to detail in how they have decorated the house. Not super-spacious, the space is nevertheless well used, and very comfortable. This does feel like a guest house you book to indulge in. Colin also makes good breakfasts. For open water swimmers there is also a lovely beach across the road - just be careful of estuary currents. It feels a bit mean to mention any negatives to such a lovely B&B. This probably isn't fair - or easy to remedy, but although the mattress - in "Railwind", or similarly named room - worked well for my husband, I found it hard (although I find most mattresses hard). We don't have a perfect solution for this at home - I normally use a mattress topper on my side of the bed, so that I don't wake too much in the night from an achy hip. Even smaller thing... I love a shampoo and conditioner to be separate (just because I use the shampoo for my roots and conditioner for my hair ends, and only wash the shampoo completely off). Some hotels have a combined shampoo and body wash, and a separate conditioner, which seems ideal.
- Mark (10/5): - We couldn't have asked for anything better than this. Everything was absolutely spotless and fresh. Breakfast was delicious. We were thinking about it everyday. Car park is not an issue .just opposite the premises. Absolutely stunning view from the bedroom. Myself and my wife will definitely go again and again. Absolutely nothing..
- Gillian (10/5): Excellent - People lovely great location everywhere luxurious Being in the roof bit much of a climb for us but was a last minute booking
- Susan (10/5): It’s was a perfect break everything there for you But if anything was needed you Only had to ask - Location was Perfect

- Susan (10/5): Fabulous! - Everything was wonderful! The bedroom was luxurious and spotlessly clean; the view was beautiful; our hosts were welcoming, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble; the property was well-located and the little street had a miriad of shops to explore, and the breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous. We only wish Awel y Mor was far closer to our home so that we could enjoy the hospitality and views more often! Would we stay there again? Absolutely!! Would we recommend it? Definitely!! Awel y Mor was, by far, the nicest place we have stayed at in the UK. Thank you both x Nothing.

Philippa was fantastic nothing was to much trouble. Leaving.

- BARBARA (10/5): Awel y Mor (Sea Breeze ) a beautiful bnb in Aderdyfi - This was a superb front line property with sea views in a very convenient location in Aderdyfi . The room and hotel in general were beautifully decorated with high end interiors and immaculately clean . The breakfast in the comfortable dining room was great quality with fine ingredients from local suppliers . Colin and Philippa were very welcoming,so knowledgeable about the area and nothing was too much trouble . I would highly recommend a stay here. Excellent all round Nothing to report as all was excellent.
- Andrew (10/5): The owners were lovely and go way above and beyond. Highly recommend - It is in a brilliant location and very convenient. Nothing
- Stephanie (10/5): Perfect! - What an amazing 5 night stay at what felt like our home from home! We stayed in the 2nd floor sea view room. The photos do not do this place justice! What Philippa and Colin don’t provide, isn’t worth having. Everything you need is in this room. A huge, comfortable, clean bed. 2 chairs in one window and a sofa in the other facing a breath taking view. The tea and coffee facilities are perfect. They include a coffee pod machine with fresh pods every day. A kettle with a range of different tea bags including decaf! There’s coffee sachets as well. They also provide: hair drier, locally sourced toiletries, slippers, a safe, picnic blanket and basket, big fluffy bed blanket, uno card game, playing cards, word search book, shoe horn, eye sleeping masks, a plug in night light! The list goes on. I even noticed 2 photo albums which the hosts made themselves. There’s also a guest information folder with absolutely everything you need to know in there. The bath is MASSIVE with no pesky plugs digging in your back!!!!! I honestly cannot fault this place.
Philippa is such a friendly, welcoming and kind lady. She made me feel extremely welcome and she honestly couldn’t do enough for us. She is a genuinely lovely person who made our stay one to remember. Thank you Philippa for just being you.
The breakfast is outstanding, thanks to chef Colin in the back. The sausage and bacon are delicious! Great quality food. Loved the freshly cooked croissants and the fresh fruit platter. What a luxury. I loved how the glasses of fresh juice weren’t the little ones.
I could go on about how amazing this place is but you really need to come and experience it for yourself. Please do not hesitate to come to this haven. If you’re coming to Aberdyfi, please come here.
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional hosts in an exceptional B&B. Luxurious room + great breakfast in a beautiful location. - I loved the location and the facilities but what made my stay special was the willingness by Philippa and Colin to continually want to provide the best possible stay...and to succeed. Nothing
- Tim (10/5): - The view from the room was incredible. The room was spotless, stylish and clean and the breakfast was excellent. Nothing.
