- Fani (7/5): A stylish hotel with a great location and excellent staff, but improvements in cleanliness and comfort would make it eve - The location was very convenient, just a 5–10 minute walk from shops and restaurants. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The overall concept and design of the hotel are modern and very appealing. We also really enjoyed the massage and mini facial experience, which was excellent. The main issue for us was cleanliness, which could be improved. We noticed similar standards in other places as well, but it still affected our experience. The rooms would benefit from some renovation and maintenance. Additionally, breakfast was served in a patio without air conditioning, making it uncomfortable to enjoy due to the heat.

Outdoor bath and shower were nice. Views over the river valley were nice, and blocked from others viewing by plants, so it felt very private and secluded. Air conditioning worked well despite westerly facing windows. Included breakfasts were really good and filling. Some cutlery and crockery would have been nice Coffee machine drinks should have been included in the price A Bluetooth speaker would have been nice too But they are just minor things - overall we loved the experience

- Claudia Lima da Silva (10/5): Super recommend!!! - I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Ubud. The facilities are great and everything feels well thought out and comfortable. The staff is truly 10/10, super kind, attentive, and always willing to help. Breakfast was super fresh and delicious, and we also had dinner at the hotel, which was absolutely 10/10. The location is perfect: just 5 minutes by motorbike from the center, and also easy to walk around if you prefer. The pool could be a bit better cleaned, but nothing serious or that affected the overall experience.

Mümkün değil bu küf kokusunda yaşanmaz orda. Havalandırma yapmadıkları sürece bir daha gelmeyeceğimi söyledim. Bahçe kapısında da sinek teli yok açamıyorsunuz. Birdaha asla.

- Ekaterina (8/5): Красивая вилла с панорамой на джунгли - У нас была крайняя вилла, поэтому открывалась потрясающая панорама на джунгли. Сама вилла симпатичная, минималистичная. За 15 минут можно пешком дойти до центра Убуда. Завтрак для взрослого мужчины маленький, не наестся. Кофе из хорошей кофемашины только за доп оплату. Персонал на ресепшен не самый приветливый, что не похоже на индонезийцев. Были на Бали много раз, в различных районах - первый раз встретили такой недружелюбный персонал. Ребята из клиннинга почему-то оставляли дверь в ванную открытой, хотя она под факту ведет на улицу и на виллу может залететь и заползти кто угодно, вопрос зачем?

- Iuliana (10/5): Liked it very much; it becomes on of our favorite place - The place is very nice, it is very good when come in Ubud to choose a place with pool. Personnel was very friendly and helpful, Supini was very kind with us. We also had a problem with “magic dust” of our daughter’s Elf on the Shelf, we lost it … and they made another one for us, we very appreciate it. ☺️ Breakfast was delicious. Near are some temples that you can visit. Next time when will be in the area, sure will come back here. Recommend this place.

We stayed in one of the valley rooms which was a great private and quiet space away from the bustle of the main road down the hill from the accommodation. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful in making sure we were sorted for our plans in Ubud, breakfast, and anything else we needed (particular thanks Supini who got us set up on our first day). Breakfast was an excellent way to start the day and the regular cleaning and services kept the room immaculate. Thank you to the entire team for a fantastic stay.

The rooms are very clean and the Temperature of the private pool is pleasant. Our baby enjoyed swimming too. Excellent host and great location to walk in around 5-10 minutes to town. Despite being close to the center the accommodation is very peaceful and quiet. Really a great stay, especially because the team made it unique. -
- Jessica (7/5): unsafe access - would not recommend for the elderly or young kids. Lovely staff and breakfasts. - friendly and helpful staff. We were given an upgrade after my friend fell on the slippery steps. Staff were wonderful at all times. Breakfasts extremely generous and delicious. EXTREMELY slippery and dangerous external stairs to villas - my friend slipped and injured her arm. Could have been much worse. I warned the staff several times prior to the fall. The rooms all show signs of water damage and need an upgrade. However are still comfortable and very clean.

There is evidence of water damage everywhere and a damp smell as well. I was ready to bail, but the hospitality is next level. Amazing breakfast options includes included in room price. 10 minute welcome massage, turn down service. The view from our deck is tranquil and the mesh matting over the pool a fun and comfy place to lie in the afternoon. If the rooms were freshened up this would have been five stars.

Room is clean, though there's a smell in the toilet but didnt really bother us. Mita was always smiley and helpful. I wld stay here again and wld recommend this to others.

Pros: • Refreshing welcome drink and snack on arrival • Lovely private infinity pool and spacious green yard—great for kids to run around • Special touches like a tipi tent and toys for our children made the stay memorable • Breakfast was well-organized with a choice of main, side, and drink • Staff communication was excellent, always available on WhatsApp and very helpful Cons: • Bathroom had poor ventilation, leading to a musty smell • Live plants inside were charming, but also attracted ants • Biggest issue: during rain, water leaked from the bathroom ceiling directly into the bathtub, leaving it constantly wet • Gym facilities felt misleading—it was not on the property, but rather access to a local gym more than 1 km away, which made it unusable for us Overall, we enjoyed our stay and really appreciated the thoughtful touches and staff hospitality. With some improvements to the bathroom, this place would be close to perfect.

We had a late flight and we were fortunate to be able to have a late checkout. Its about 800m to main road and 1 km to Ubud centre, and an easy walk if you enjoy walking. The location was quiet and away from the traffic noise and hustle of the town centre. The villa was perfect for us with our own pool and very quiet and private for relaxing when you need it. Staff happy to help with anything you need and are great at communicating and responding to messages. Assisted us with finding transport with a very punctual and good driver (Nyoman) to be able to attend conference for drop off and pick up. Highly recommend this property.

A heartfelt thank you to Putri, Sukma and Supini, who were so kind, attentive, and always just a message away — anything I needed, they made it happen with such care and grace. On my birthday, they surprised me by singing happy birthday and bringing a cake — such a thoughtful moment that I’ll never forget. Thanks to them, I also got to see a stunning Kecak dance performance just across the street, which I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. The villa itself was a dream — peaceful, private, and beautifully designed. The floating breakfast was a highlight, and every meal I had was delicious. I also want to recognize the amazing housekeeping team — Nopi, Sam Rudita, and Juana — who kept everything pristine and were always warm and friendly. Origin Ubud truly made me feel like I was home, just wrapped in luxury and love. I can’t recommend it enough, and I’ll definitely be returning.

Foods are very goods as well. The room is very good size for family of 4, well clean and maintained. Private pool is amazing, especially for the young kids. The staff always accommodate to our request and needs for example our breakfast hours, coffee during odd hours. There's always someone available to assist even if it gets late so we feel quite safe and well taken care. Location is slightly out of the busy ubud central but still within walking distance if you feel like walking. The villa is located at a main road so makes it easy for all the ehailing. Overall, we had a good time there.

It was convenient that massage can be ordered to our room and we could just WhatsApp the property to order our breakfast before the next morning. There are food stalls just opposite the property and really good for local fare. Whenever we made a request they were prompt to attend to our needs. Our 2 bedroom cabana pool unit was great for us. The bathroom sometimes smell of drainage but hotel added aromatherapy and it made the whole room smell great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Origin Ubud and will certainly return to stay again next time.

We stayed in one of the Valley Pool Villas, which are on the lowest level and provide a nice view of the nature in front. The bed is big and comfortable. What we loved the most is the service of the staff. They helped out with all kinds of questions and requests throughout and even before our stay. We mostly communicated through WhatsApp chats, to which the team always replied quickly and friendly. The staff provided many tips for Ubud and thought along for any practical questions. Every day we could choose the next day’s breakfast from the menu, which has both western and Indonesian options. While many other places here have limited options (only banana pancakes or nasi goreng), Origin Ubud offers a wide range of choices. The portions were large and tasty. The breakfast is served exactly at the time we requested each morning. Thanks Supini, Aditya, Putri, Bagus and all the other staff!
- D6198IOkimberlys (10/5): Origin makes it happen - We booked Origin after searching for countless hotels and villas online. My parents emigrated to the US years ago where I was born, but I make the effort to return to Indonesia at least every other year. Origin Ubud truly did not disappoint. My descriptors would include hospitable, intentional, and family. My husband and I stayed in a cabana unit and enjoyed meals, lounging, and watching the sunset from the window. Each day, Aditya, Supini, and Putri provided us with a delicious and beautiful breakfast, while always asking us what they could do to make our stay better. The team was able to accommodate our odd schedules and facilitate transport, even during a short time frame. My favorite part of Origin is that they are real. They share with you the pros and cons of certain areas and give recommendations of activities. Origin coordinated a majority of our activities, though we didn't have a set itinerary of what we wanted to do or see. On a Wednesday, we didn't know what to do the next day, but at 6pm that evening, we were able to coordinate with Aditya for a day full of activities. That same night/early morning, we left the villa at 03:00 to watch the sunrise at Mount Batur. Then, we relaxed at the hot springs for a bit before having lunch at a multi-level restaurant on a cliff overlooking Mount Kintamani and the surrounding areas. On our way back to the villa, we stopped by Tegalalang Rice Terrace and enjoyed some photo opportunities. Because of Origin's coordination, we were able to beat the crowds and return to the villa by 13:00, just in time to attend a ceramics class in town. During our four night stay, my husband and I constantly raved about how much we appreciated the location. The area is close enough to Ubud Central, but far enough for a bit of quiet serenity. We also loved that they were able to coordinate massages and meals around our schedule. One of the days, we encountered a minor medical issue and Origin was able to dispatch a medical doctor and nurse who were proficient at English for our aid. My friends came to Bali before and took photos in cultural wear. We weren't able to fit this into our schedule, but Origin made it happen. They were able to procure cultural garments overnight and we took photos at the cultural area across the street as well as in our villa. Please see photos. TLDR; Origin makes it happen and you don't need to be fully prepared with what you want to do prior to arrival. Their villas are also so beautiful, so if there's a day where you want to lounge a bit, having an in-villa massage is highly recommended (by me). There is so much more that I can say about this place.. Yes they're clean, friendly, accommodating, and able to help you out when needed.

I was specifically asked before my trip of my dietary requirements and noted that I am gluten and dairy free. The options were limited and swap outs were worse. I ate breakfast elsewhere the rest of my trip, luckily great breakfast options in Ubud!
