TV was easy to use; good audio quality. Someone else's dark hair was in a clump in the corner of the shower/bathtub. One side of the sheets were pilled. The rooms were not very soundproof. Was easily awoken by other room's doors opening and closing @ 6AM. Breakfast and coffee were blah; cheap cafeteria style except for the waffles. Powered eggs are icky.

• 884franklind (2/5): Horrible hotel, 1 star is more fitting. - Intent was to book the room for the same day but in the am and it automatically booked for pm. We understand that there is a no cancelation policy but when we book another on the other side of town opposite way that was way more expensive and higher end, they understood that we made a mistake and gave us a refund. Not Days Inn in Des Moines with Nancy as the manager. She was rude when we asked for the refund, so rude that they even said they were willing to keep that little amount and lose a customer so we paid and didn't even stay. No need to be rude, will NEVER go back again. Keep the money, its all sleep inn in des moines with Nancy as their mananger care about.

• Kathy (8/5): This was a layover on our way home from Arizona back to Wisconsin - The location was easily accessible from the highway. Very close to dining options. The breakfast was fair but not something I would say I had to have. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, check in was easy and we requested first floor room, which was given to us. We only stayed one night, so our experience was fine.

The hotel is located right off I-35 and close to everything you would need. The beds were very hard and made our bodies very sore after our stay.

• Trusty (8/5): Probably won't book again as the breakfast option played a key role when choosing our stay. - Staff were exceptional. The room was very clean and met our needs. The "store" was barren, almost completely empty shelves/coolers. Though, the prices were fair for what was available. The breakfast was abysmal. I've had better food in the hospital.

The breakfast food leaves quite a bit to desire. The eggs are the powdered type and don’t taste good, the sausage doesn’t taste good either. I tried a pastry and it was dry and the coffee tasted like hot water! We ended up eating at IHOP.

Not very warm either. Butter was ice cold so not spreadable. Hours were not what was advertised. A hot tub would have been more appreciated than a pool.

• G6276CZjohnl (6/5): Don't expect two rooms with the one-bedroom suite. - The room itself was okay, but was not what I expected. If you are planning on getting two rooms when you book the 1-bedroom suite, be prepared for disappointment. When I travel, I always look for a room that has a separate living area from the bedroom. Normally, this is the case when a hotel lists their room as a "one bedroom suite". Even though Sleep Inn's website indicates "living area" as one of the features of this room, it is NOT a separate living area, so if one person is trying to sleep, and the other is not, there is no place for the second person to go. Also, the staff was rather uncaring. The gentleman that checked me in did not care that the room was not as advertised, and offered no solutions to help me, or even apologize for the misunderstanding.

We had a very nice night here, comfortable, quiet, easy access to the highway, but not too noisy. Dog friendly too! Good breakfast as well. Ticked all the boxes. Will definitely stay here again on our way through Des Moines.

• Pamela (4/5): Worst booking ever - The room was clean and the location was good. When we first arrived we was told that the room that we reserve was not pet friendly. So we ended up in a room with 2 beds that made it impossible for us to sleep in the same bed,as we sleep with cpap machines and only one table between the beds. The beds where uncomfortable lumpy and all the padding that was on the mattress doesn't fill in the broken down place. The refrigerator didn't work, the dials was broken so you couldn't change the temperature. And the topper on the cake was we was charger more for a room that we didn't want, all because it was not listed online that king size rooms are not available for pet friendly service.
