Guest Reviews
- Daniel (2/5): - Hotel staff unable to find my online booking as confirmed by Expedia.
After over 20 minutes then they managed to solved it.
Gave me an unclean room then when i complaint they move me to another room.
- Haywire700 (4/5): Nice overall hotel except flattened mattress and dirty shower. - The room is overall clean except for the bathroom which seemed to be unclean from past guest night. Women hair in curl on the drain. Room could provide herbal tea bags. Staff service was very polite and helpful although could be more informative about travel and city since this is a regular place.
For the price of 1000 bahts without breakfast, the hotel room could have more attention eg. flattened mattress quality, poor drain, dirty shower, better lighting, minibar items. Hotels rooms in the price range of 900-1200 THB in Krabi, Trang, and Hat Yai have cleaner and fresh interior. We hope Satun could offer similar rooms.

- jimmykohlipe (2/5): WORST HOTEL IN SATUN - by far - We arrived to an emty open hotel. We needed a Room for one night. In the counter they had a sign ” Promotion 799thb/night ( No breakfast ) if you want breakfast price is 1200thb. We paid 1200 We like to eat breakfast before We go.
Come to the Room, aircon works but its NOT cold. I take a quick shower and there is almost no water comming. We decid to go eat dinner some food outside. A friend is waiting in the car in parkinglot, but We can not lock the door... its broken. Rockhard beds, today my back hurts. Today We come for breakfast the say, mai me, No have. I told then, but yesterday there was a sign with breakfast and the unpolite staff just answer..oh, We forget to remove the sign. No Willing to help. No discount!
My advise: DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY IN THIS HOTEL!
- spacebearchilling (4/5): Should improve the cleanliness and the smell - The hotel is quite old but the room is spacious. What they should improve the most is the cleanliness. The shower room is really smelly and disturbing. I think the bad smell comes from the water pipe.
- coachsu (6/5): Nearby eating places - The hotel is nearby eating places. Also nearby the central mosque. Convenient to walk around, though the surrounding can be a bit quiet at night. Variety of choices of food at the night market. There's also a village for good seafood nearby (need to drive though). Clean room and staff are friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): OK
- sunrisetacos_1 (8/5): Service is friendly and Rooms are large. - The room has drainage issue with the sink and shower and in one hour they fix it. Clean and spacious. The mattress is on the soft side. For the price you can't beat it.
The breakfast while good is better value not to pay the 1400 for the room to have it but pay the 1,050 rate. It's a choice of five sets. Similar in town cost you max 200 baht.
Bottle water is only 10 baht.
The staff are friendly and overall enjoyed the stay.
- MickH127 (8/5): Probably the best hotel in Satun - Decent sized and clean rooms, with good ensuite shower rooms. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet.
Air conditioning worked and overall the hotel looked as if it was looked after. Staff were helpful.
Security and fire safety was acceptable but could be improved.
- AlchemyRider (6/5): Hotel which met all our needs - My friends and I rode through Satun on a bicycle tour. So top of our list was the ability to take our bicycles up to our rooms. Not every hotel allows this.
The SinKiat Buri does. Full marks there.
The hotel is clean. The rooms are not huge, but large enough to accomodate two persons and two bicycles. Every thing in the bathroom worked. The air conditioning and the in-room fridge were cold.
Wifi reception was variable. It was better at some times than others. Wifi reception in the lobby was excellent.
The front desk staff were helpful, and provided an adapter plug for one of us.
We didn't eat in the hotel, so cannot comment on the quality of food served there.
If I ever go back to Satun, I would stay at the SinKiat Buri again.
- mikeyb0449 (8/5): Good experience - Returning from Langkawi we stayed over at SinKiat Buri Hotel and were very pleased with the location, standard of accommodation, breakfast and friendliness of staff.
Our room was large, very clean, quality linen and a contemporary bathroom.
Ticked all the boxes for us.
- kham_Ler_4567 (6/5): One night - After finished my trip at Langkawi island we check in at 20.00 hrs.
- Room clean and clear good
- A/C not good condition, we open 30 mins with 20 C it not cool (9000 BTU. small size)
- Good location with small place
- Staffs are polite.
we just take a sleep :)
- Charlottew2221 (6/5): One night stay - Checked in during our travel from the border to get sleep. room was clean, big and comfortable shower was amazing. No room service which was annoying as we hadnt eaten for 9 hours reception didnt speak any english so didnt find somewhere nearby to get food. would recommend for 1-2 night stay
- lovethefold (8/5): Does the job! - We checked in here by chance as our original booking for Cliff Man somehow had problems. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The hotel is clean and functional. Rooms spacious with good views of the small town.
The staff did not speak much English but were efficient. Location is great too. But it lacked character and charm. To be fair at 600+B, you cant go wrong with SinKiat! :)
- Mekong164 (6/5): Ok enough and cheap - I think the most obvious choice if you are passing by Satun for some reasons (as there are not much to do in Satun anyway!).
Just next door from On's bar and restaurant which is the best place to chill out in the city.
- 904frang (10/5): New Hotel,well located,confortable rooms - The hotel is very new,located on the town center.
Room is clean with huge confortable bed,Lcd tv but with few foreign channels.
Bathroom look nice and clean.
We slept one night before moving to Koh Lipe island.
Staff is ok,even if they speak little inglish.
- rosiea993 (6/5): A well located hotel in town offering comfortable accommodation - We had a comfortable 4 nights' stay at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of accommodation offered although there seem to be a problem with leaking pipes in the bathrooms. This resulted in us having to change rooms on our first day there only to find the 2nd bathroom had another leak under the basin. We also encountered some language problems (English) with the reception staff and the delay in getting our laundry back which was 2 days later after being told it would be done in a day. Apart from these issues, we would be happy to stay there again for its location and modern facilities.
- Rumana10 (6/5): Need to be more professional in terms of services!! - The rooms are average, the bathroom and all are just okay. The Hotel by look seems quite new but the facilities are very average... even at these days you hardly fine a hotel who serves only bread ( two piece), butter, jam and cereals served in tea cups!! even the number of staff is so limited and they also don't know, how to serve the BF each morning!! Unfortunately I had to spend my weekends in that hotel but it was not a standard hotel compare to its price!
Same goes for internet, you buy a cared with 100 BTH and its not sure if it will work. lobby seems okay but in your pajamas at 10 pm at the lobby , i think its too much for a guest!!!
You can enjoy the morning walk around the street and in the evening, good chance to see the weekend night market, hardly find stuffs to buy but, its Okay for a change!!
