Guest Reviews
- Matt (7/5): -
- Owen (10/5): - Very friendly staff lovely breakfast pancakes was to die for Nothin at all worth every penny
- Globetrotter118 (8/5): Nice bungalows around a beautiful garden. - A very cozy place to stay. I had a nice spacious bungalow set in a beautiful garden. Good WiFi everywhere, even in the bungalow. There is a bar with lovely wooden furniture, and also an outdoor covered dining area. The restaurant had a fairly extensive menu with both Western and Philippino options, all at quite affordable prices, especially after coming from El Nido. I liked that you pay your bill when you leave, so you don't have this constant lack of change ordeal. Lacking basic maintenance. The roof on my balcony had a hole in the middle of it, and it was raining a lot, also the light on my balcony wasn't working. The switch for hot water in the shower was located right up at the top by the ceiling. Nobody can reach it. Luckily I'm not very heavy and could stand on top of the plastic bucket. A 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper in a room designed for 2 people for 2 nights. If you don't supply more, at least sell them! Pile some up in the reception so we can get one easily. Taytay is a tiny town. I went to 5 little shops before I was able to buy the 2nd to last roll they had! Hopefully not too many others needed some. It's worth noting that there's no generator. The day I left, I had to pack my things on the balcony as very little daylight gets into the room. Still no electricity back when I left several hours later. Good location right in town. Far from the bus station, but that's because the bus station is located really far from town.
- Guest (8/5): Prima plek, aardig personeel, goede sfeer.

- FERNANDO (10/5): - Super bien. No aptos para finolis. , Estás en el medio rural. Cabañas en un lugar divino. Servicio excelente y gente super amable
- Diāna (3/5): Poor - Location was good. Need to fix water flow in the wc and shower. Staff was not very helpful.
- Beau (8/5): Great place to stay in Taytay - The staff are very considerate. Many of them are learning how to work in a business to get credit for their education and the owner selects them very well. The laundry staff are also very good and prompt. The location is excellent being right in front of the fortress. You can get a great view of the fort at night from your balcony in some rooms! The room was a bit small and there weren't many outlets. The lights also run on a series circuit so you can only use some lights if another light is on. All lights should operate independent of each other.
- Florian (6/5): The room was good. - The room itself was nice, big room with nice bathroom. The staff was okay, however the prices for the scooter, island hoppings and more were very high. 700 pesos for one day scooter... The place was quite noisy because of Geckos and construction right next to our room. No AC just a fan.
- Victoria (5/5): Checked out early, shoul have stayed at Casa Rosa just a few minutes walk away: soooo much better. - Location good It was a hot box: pay more than double for air conditioning. no mosquito covers on windows or nets.
Not able to book any boat trips.
- Vanessa (8/5): - Great location, price and great food options at the restaurant.
- Oliver (7/5): Good -
- Yasser (9/5): Great - Over all ok, The calm community , good helpfull Pems Management Nice Frendily Administration , very kind supportive
- Gaynor (2/5): Cheap but not cheerful - It had a good location It was very dirty. I don’t think the bathroom had been cleaned in months.
- Adrian (8/5): - Had a nice stay at Pem’s. Property owners were very accommodating, attentive and pleasant. Safe accommodation. Staff was great and patient. I liked the rice noodles and fish broth that they prepared. A little bit more maintenance and things will be much, much better. Will return when opportunity arises.
- Lennart (9/5): Very nice. - Great restaurant! Great location close to the fort, nice bungelows, nice staff. The 2 person bed was very uncomfortable luckily there was also a 1 person bed in de room with a good mattress so I ended up sleeping there.
Cold shower.
- Michaela (10/5): Exceptional - everything was great.
Nice, clear, quiet.
- Laarne (8/5): Very good - Room was pretty spacious.Big tv.Very quiet. The owner and staffs were nice .We ate dinner there and foods were okay.Airconditioned room with very quiet ceiling fan . Showers are not working properly only drizzles, no hot water too.
Toilet bowl and sink are both clogged .
Bathroom was dirty when we arrived.
- Adam (9/5): Great option for a short stay in Taytay! - Pem is a wonderful host and we felt very welcome by her and all the staff. We only stayed for one night as a stop over between El Nido and Puerto Princessa which worked out well breaking up the long transfer. We really loved Taytay town as a quieter (and cheaper!) alternative to El Nido. The shower wasn't very good - just a trickle, and the toilet took a long time to flush/refill.
- Anthony (7/5): Definitely would stay there again as it’s a great location, exceptionally good value and their food is very good - Great location
Excellent value
Good food
Helpful staff No water pressure. Just a dribble from the shower and toilet took forever to fill between flushes.
Bathroom dirty. Not cleaned
- Lucie (4/5): Wouldn't stay there again and don't recommend - Location is in the center, close to the port
The garden is nice.
There is a restaurant where you can get breakfast and take out lunch (convenient if you go on tour for the day without lunch included) Very uncomfortable beds, only a very thin mattress on a wooden board. Impossible to sleep on your side. Feels like you are sleeping on the floor.
We had booked a double room but they only had a twin left. The bungalow is really small and very close the others.
No toilet seat and the toilet was dirty.
Lots of stains on the sheets and a lot of mosquitos and no mosquito net.
It is a really cheap accommodation but you really get what you pay for. Would have slept better in my own tent ! It is worth paying a bit more for better. Unfortunately for us, it was fiesta time and everything else was fully booked... Not a lot of accommodation in Taytay.
BTY, Taytay itself is not worth the detour, unless you wanna see a town without tourist... We did island hopping and it was not worth the price at all, especially after El Nido and Coron
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant - Meals were reasonably priced, the accommodation basic and clean; staff and owner very helpful. Owner suggested several tours and seems well connected in the community.
- Peeter (8/5): Very good -
- Ahmed (7/5): Good -
- Kevin (8/5): Very good - The owner and her son were very helpful and accommodating. The place is simple but very cozy. The bathroom would need a little update.
- Laraine (7/5): The accommodation was ok but we did not like Tay Tay - the staff were very helpful. The food was good. The accommodation is very basic, The towels and bedding where stained and had holes in them.
- Fiona (8/5): great value for money - good breakfast - lovely staff - cute bungalow in central location near fort nothing
- Alan (7/5): Good - The cottage was really cosy with a nice porch. Friendly owner and staff. The bathroom was really dirty! It was still moist when we arrived and there were some dirty, unidentifiable spots. It looked like it wasn't cleaned for a long time.
- Jui-hui (8/5): Everything is fine -
- Michela (5/5): Passable -
- Anne (7/5): need to improve bathroom and linens. - close to the municipality linens are worse in donating to an animal shelter. bathroom floor are not level so water get stagnant on the floor when to bath . no shower curtain to contain the water & it gets all over the floor. No Hot water. need to improvement on the bathroom and linens .,
- Sherezade (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (5/5): Convenient location - owner very helpful property quite dated & tired
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, professional with bar and food , good price for our room. Room is big
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Toilet didnt flush and no hot water in the shower. A lot of ants or other small bugs everywhere in the room. Thin bamboo walls did not block the noises from the outside.
Not many accommondation options in TayTay, but at least Pems have a friendly and very helpful staff.
- Joe (6/5): Ok for Backpackers - Small Native style cottages in a very central location is apealing and desirable, but the washroom leaves a lot to be desired. A toilet that neither flushes nor has a toilet seat drops this hotel to a backpacker type accommodation. Can't comment on the restaurant since I didnt eat there. Place is kept clean and staff are friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice location next to the old fort and town centre. Super friendly and helpful staff. The accommodation is comfortable and built almost entirely out of wood and bamboo and has a real charm to it. Recommend you stay here. Great value for money.
- Herbert (8/5): Very good - Very friendly staff and value for money
- adi & jonthan (10/5): wonderful place best service and very comfortable - feels like home!!!!
