Calme. Personnel adorable. Situation en retrait de la plage. Piscine privative. Cuisine équipée. Le petit déjeuner pourrait être plus copieux. Lit grinçant à chaque mouvement !
- joanne (10/5): Excellent. 12/10 stars. Great place great hosts great area. - A large private garden with large day beds and personal temples, all meticulously cared for by a very passionate owners, Kadek and Yuli. 2 of the loveliest people u will meet. Kadek has many (maybe more than 20) bonsai plants which are a feature.... There is only 2 villas, one garden view, and ours which had our own private pool. Being a bit out of Amed at Lipah Beach, it is quiet area but with many good warungs, including beach front as well as snorkeling and good massage places nearby. Very good off street parking... Zippo. Not one thing I could say was an issue.
- Uwe (10/5): Warum muss urtümlich schmutzig sein ? - Super Lage. Sehr schöne Villa mit Pool. Alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Sehr freundliches Personal.
- Ali (9/5): Friendly accommodation close to Lipah beach - The family were just SO lovely, they couldn’t have done more to accommodate things for me, especially Sandy driving me around. The breakfast was lovely sat on the terrace and the villa is a short walk from restaurants, and 5 mins to Lipah beach.
I slept so well here and I felt really safe. The room was quite dark and I always had to have a light on to see around the room, little natural light came in.
You need transport to get in and out of Amed you can’t walk.
The photos made me think it was on the beach but it wasn’t
- Maximilian (9/5): - Very beautiful area, nice hosts! Bike and Car rental also. I had a great stay! Loud at night because of dogs
- Trevor (8/5): Loved our quiet beach town stay in the pool villa. - The property is wonderfully maintained. The owners take great care and are very accommodating. The pool villa is beautiful, and was so nice to enjoy the pool. Breakfast was so good. And dinner and live music at the nearby Warung Agung was lively and so fun! While we enjoyed the location, it’s worth knowing that the villas are not in Amed but a nearby beach town. The bed was quite creaky and sagged in the middle. And it’s a little detail, but warmer light bulbs would go a long way to making the villas feel welcoming at night.
- Liliia (10/5): - Amazing location — the ocean and my favorite snorkeling spot are within walking distance. The property is incredibly clean, well-maintained, and beautiful. The house itself was a pleasant surprise: I expected it to be old, but in reality it’s a brand-new, very clean and stylish place with carved doors and even a kitchen. The canopy bed is a special kind of bliss — I truly felt like a princess.
I’d also like to highlight the hosts — they are very kind and welcoming. The hostess cooks absolutely delicious food, especially nasi goreng, and the breakfasts in general were wonderful.
I definitely recommend this place. One thing to note is that there is construction nearby, so it’s worth bringing earplugs. We’re already used to construction noise, so it didn’t bother us much, especially since we spent most of the day in the ocean.
- Daniel (10/5): Most amazing place very friendly staff - Beautiful garden, villa was clean comfortable and most importantly no tv Maybe make sure all kitchen crockery is matching
Wine glass
Drinking glasses
Kettle take for ages to boil
Pot on the gas was quick
Maybe a kettle for the gas
- Cyril (10/5): -
- Songeun (10/5): -
- Leonard (10/5): -
- Kathrin (10/5): -
- Christine (10/5): Fanstastic venue, location and staff - Beautiful quiet compound. Wonderful gardens. Cleaning excellent. Owners and staff attentive and can source whatever needed. Lovely that they’re local as know other businesses well. Location is comparatively quiet with very good food and beverage places very close. User friendly beach. Cant imagine not liking anything
- Hikmet (8/5): -
Rien

- Luisa (10/5): Quiet villa in beautiful gardens - Gorgeous, very clean, quiet and private villa (with pool) alongside a family home and another small villa. The gardens are amazing and lovingly tended to by Kadek and Yuli and their family every day - there is so much care put into this home and they are clearly happy to share with you. So different from the large resorts you see around Amed - this feels like you really are staying in a family home :)
We loved our quiet retreat from the main road, large balcony to relax on and comfortable bed. We made the most of the pool as much as possible!
We ordered breakfast on the few mornings we weren't diving and it was delicious! Thank you for the extra sambal!
I hope we can visit you again soon (and make satay!)
Thank you for everything

- Brian (3/5): Lack of Communication upon Arrival from Ownership - The outside of the villa was nice. There is a private pool for use. The villa is part of a private property. I believe there are two places to stay, and the property is nicely landscaped. A short walk to the beach area. Lack of communication from the owner regarding the ceremony that was taking place next door, which featured loud music and karaoke, and cigarette smoke that entered our bathroom. LOL - the smell of the cigarette smoke was probably better than the smell of the mouth balls on the drain in the shower area. Despite asking on Booking.com messenger, I never did find out what the mouth balls were for, but they certainly have an unpleasant smell, and probably are not the healthiest things to be breathing in. We arrived at around 2pm and it fortunately wrapped up at 8pm. We had no idea how long it was going to go on for, and were worried that it would affect our sleep. Again ownership never came over to introduce himself and provide us info that this was an important celebration and would wrap up in the early evening. For sure he was aware of our concerns regarding the noise. Upon arrival we asked the ladies who checked us in if this was going to be the only time there'd be a celebration, and their response was "maybe". So we really didn't know if this would be a one off event, or would be repeated again. I didn't "meet" the owner until the following morning, and at that point we had already communicated to the staff that we would be leaving, he never introduced himself as the owner, but rather asked "where we were going today". I can say he is correct on his evaluation that we probably didn't like Amed. This is probably true - a lot of construction going on, including right next door to the villa, but again we did not have a great first impression from our experience expressed above. I also found Yuli's comments, that "we are sorry to hear that you can't understand the local traditions of the island hosting you", insulting. We had no idea of the significance of the celebration as he never came over to talk with us.
- Laurent (7/5): Cozy place with beautiful garden - The property is beautiful, it's a traditional Balinese housing with a splendid and well maintained garden, and beautifully ornamented doors. The villa is spacious and cozy with the private pool. Breakfast is served by the host on the terrasse. The host and the staff are friendly The location is a bit on the far end of Amed, and the road is partly in construction (at least at the time we stayed). You can't use Grab everywhere so we rented a scooter from the host to visit the few beaches around.
Also at the time of our stay (Sept 2025) there was some construction next to the property, not super loud but still the hammering was a bit disturbing the quietness of the place.
- Hans (10/5): -
- Michael (8/5): Authentic Balinese grounds with comfortable beds, right next to Lipah Beach - A very comfortable villa in a quieter part of Amed, just 10 minutes by scooter to the “centre”. Walking distance to Lipah beach and surrounded by good local warungs, a quality coffee spot and a short drive to top cafes, yoga and dive centres. The whole design is authentically Balinese, with small but beautiful grounds. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a lot of road construction while I stayed here, so driving back and forth to Amed’s centre was more challenging than usual. I got used to driving on gravel and though extra potholes after the first day. Can’t wait to see it finished.
- Martina (9/5): Superb - Everything! Nothing!
- Page (10/5): A beautiful stay in a local's home, with a breath-taking garden. Highly recommend. - From the first moment I arrived, I felt at home. The rooms are beautiful and spacious (decorated with taste and care), there's a kitchenette if you should want to cook and the garden is breath-taking. I loved waking up here every day. The hosts were very helpful and friendly - when I landed, I was immediately greeted with a fresh coconut from the garden and if I ever had any questions, they were willing to help. I loved the area too - very close to a lot of local dive concessions, some small local stores and plenty of restaurants. It's a very short drive/scooter ride to get into central Amed but is also a nice distance away from the busyness.
- Jade (8/5): Very good - A peaceful villa that has all the necessary amenities. The gardens are beautiful and the private pool was an absolute treat.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay in Amed at Di Abian Villas was 10 days of pure relaxation, facilitated by our extremely kind and generous hosts, Yuli and Kadek. The property consists of 2 villas situated in a family compound. Our villa was roomy and clean, and had a lovely pool included for personal usage. And use it we did! The gardens are exceptionally beautiful ... them and the pool being very well cared for. The family and staff were helpful and attentive when required, but otherwise non-intrusive. There are some great warungs and alternate eating houses within walking distance or a short taxi drive away. We plan to return! Big thank you to Yuli and Kadek for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.🙏🌺
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jo-anne (10/5): Beautiful Villa in Stunning Grounds. - We felt like it was a privilege to stay within this private family compound where the gardens and buildings are stunning. The villa itself is gorgeous and so clean. The private pool whilst not private from within the compound but private for your use only is just beautiful.
Great position in Lipah as just across the road from the beach and restaurants close by.
We loved it and will return on our next trip to Amed.
. It would be great if they could supply pool towels.
- Fernando (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (9/5): Peaceful and beautiful Villa in Amed - July and her family were great hosts. The villa and pool look exactly like in the photos and are in a great location, literally less than 1 min walk from the beach! It's very quiet and the garden makes you feel like you are in a temple (there literally is a temple on the property as well)! Everything is very well looked after.
July was very flexible with requests for when we wanted breakfast which was amazing!
We were very sad to leave Di Abian Villas and would have loved to stay longer! Can definitely recommend 😊
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Everything top shelf Nothing
- Ryan (10/5): Great location, clean and spacious rooms - So clean, great location and the place was so quiet and beautiful. The host family (who live in the area) were so lovely. We highly recommend Di Abian.
- Alexander (10/5): Unique Villa experience in Amed - We loved Di Abian Villa! The hosts Kadek and Yuli were so welcoming and accommodating! It is a unique Bali experience as the villa is situated in Kadek and Yuli’s family compound although they respected your privacy.
It was the cleanest and best maintained accommodation we have stayed in on this trip. It was spacious, a comfortable bed and the pool and Bale were great.
I was also able to rent a great scooter from Yuli.
There were good cafes and warungs nearby, also a nice massage spa.
Lipah Beach was only 100 metres away for great snorkelling.
It was really good value to top it off!
Highly recommend. Nothing
- James (10/5): Highly recommend - The villa is a modern villa, but with a traditional Balinese aesthetic set inside a beautiful family compound with stunning gardens. The hosts were welcoming, helpful and friendly while also ensuring our privacy. The pool was gorgeous. The location is great, right next to the middle section Lipaj Beach, where we could rent beach chairs and snorkeling equipment. Nothing.
- Rugilė (9/5): Superb - Private pool, great location, big room, private deck chairs. Very squeaky bed :(
- Giovanni (10/5): Relaxing stay, very beautiful environment - The location is very nice, close to Lipah beach. The place is very beautiful and relaxing. I wish I had found it before as I would've liked to stay more time but we had to return to Denpansar to take our flight Just maybe a suggestion to put a sign at the front for it to be easier to find
- Frans (10/5): Exceptional - We are in our mid-80s and have visited Bali many times, staying in the usual places, but we had never been to Amed. So we took a risk and booked Di Abian Villa for a full 3 weeks, and we have absolutely no regrets - it's been our best Bali holiday ever: for a city person (of somewhat advanced age) it's like getting a foretaste of paradise. If, like us, you stay for more than a few days, you will not only enjoy the amazingly beautiful gardens and the wide choice of good warongs within walking distance, you are also bound to experience the Balinese values of being kind to others, looking after people the best way you can, and generally making people feel happy and content. Our hosts Kadek and Juliana always stood ready to help us resolve any problems, if necessary with the help of members of their extended family. But more than that, over the three weeks they delighted us with lots of unexpected and unasked-for surprises, too many to mention. For example, when they found out how much we liked coconut juice, they arranged for some of their nephews to come and climb up one of the trees in front of our swimming pool and pluck fresh coconuts for us: spectacular entertainment ending with delicious drinks. If you are not into the adventures and excitements offered on the west coast, give Amed a try. The snorkelling and diving is spectacular - we were lucky enough to actually see an octopus working his/her way around a boulder - and if you can stay for more than one or two days, definitely stay with Kadek and Juliana in Di Albian Villas. Everything was just perfect!
- Marie (9/5): Superb - Cozy little House with own private villa
Close to Beach They should mention that you live in someones private garden (but it is a nice family)
It should be possible to get clean Towels. Espacially for the hands
- Steven (10/5): An oasis all for you! - This place felt like an amazing oasis and the hosts are just lovely. The garden is stunning and massive - full of flowers, bonsai trees, shrines and palms and a big tree for shade. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and has a small kitchen. The pool is very impressive! And it’s just a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Very private and safe - just the one villa. Breakfast was delicious. I couldn’t recommend it more and can’t wait to come back. Nothing!
- Ben (7/5): Mostly private but lovely place - Large room, kitchen, friendly staff, gardens were nice. Shower hot water went on and off, the private pool wasn't private and felt on display.
- Elena (10/5): - Sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Villa hat viel Platz,Dusche und Küche.Zum Strand 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Wasser am Strand sehr klar. Super zum schnorcheln.
- Zofia (1/5): Bad - Nothing to like. DO NOT stay here. Location is way up the hill of Amed/far away from the main drag. We arrived to the most unfriendly, uninterested and angry staff member. The property is on a family's compound with NO privacy whatsoever - the bed faces a window to the family's property so they can look straight in. You will need to get dressed etc in an entirely dark room with the curtains pulled across for a modicum of privacy. The bedroom was hot and poorly decorated, complete with cockroach and fly spray on the shelf. No mosquito net. There was a water filter in the kitchen that had long not been filled up, the toiletries in the room were cheap and nasty. The pool is literally in someone's front garden and the family will be watching you the entire time - we saw people peeking behind curtains. The final kicker was no water pressure whatsoever in the shower or bathroom sink. No extra towels provided for the pool, no welcome drink. We got the sense that we were intruding on them and were extremely unwelcome. It was also very apparent they are only in it for money and have no interest in making your stay special. You are provided with a Whatsapp number which did not connect to Whatsapp so had no real way to contact staff or arrange any day trips etc. Note that the property's name is identical to another Di Albian Villas which is next door, but this property is not signed or marked - another safety concern. We left the afternoon of arriving to a cheaper, lovely accomodation in Amed and the difference was night and day.
- Asma (8/5): Very good -
- Natalia (7/5): Would not book it again - Nice cottage in a Beautiful garden, it’s actually a part of private premises , the landlord lives right next door.
Private pool, 3 minutes to the great beach and snorkelling spot. Extremely uncomfortable bed and pillows. I just couldn’t sleep for three night.
The a/c is not cold enough.
Overall had a feeling that owners don’t really care about making this place comfortable- they just put the furniture that they no longer need. The outdoor area could be used much better with a more comfortable furniture.
The garden is really beautiful and well maintained, but i got a feeling I’m not really welcomed to observe it..
- David (7/5): lovely villa in amazing bonsai garden - the private pool , the amazing garden setting needs a little attention to detail , mosquito net would be good and also some basic kitchen items - coffee tea and bottle opener etc
- Bea (9/5): Superb - A charming little villa that's built within the host's own property. We were taken by the beautiful garden. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing, a perfect spot to relax by. The villa was in close proximity to many restaurants and the beach, we had a lovely time snorkeling. The couple who owns the place and their staff were polite and friendly. If I have to say something, the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. No big deal.
- Rodney (10/5): Great location in the beautiful grounds of a private home - Great location in the beautiful grounds of a private home. Your own exclusive pool to use. Very large and well maintained room including kitchen. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, including sharing coffees, food and local palm wine and an added night of unexpected karaoke. But if you wanted solitude, that was also respected. They did our laundry at a very reasonable price, and arranged our transport also at a reasonable rate. Very friendly and helpful staff, with good suggestions on places to eat and things to do. If you don’t have to be right on the beach, this is the place to stay.
- Chariskha (9/5): Excellent stay! next time we'll stay longer. - the private swimming pool is excellent! it's something that you need during gloomy weather. Instead of not being able to go to the beach, you can enjoy yourself relaxing in the pool that has a hill/mountain view in the background. Nothing.
- Joaniemargs (9/5): Superb - Very private villa in amongst beautiful gardens. Good size terrace. Private pool very enjoyable. Adequate breakfast delivered to your room. Short walk to Lipah beach with good choice of warung close by.. Received one bottle of water on arrival, but none the subsequent days. The kitchenette was good, but no supply of tea/coffee/sugar sachets so if you wanted this you had to buy your own. That said, didn't spoil holiday in anyway.
- Ibolya (10/5): Csnt - Very well maintained property, steps from the beach. Lovely owner and staff making sure everything is taken care of.
- Alida (9/5): Great villa in a beautiful location - Very peaceful, amongst lush gardens. Beautiful clean pool and villa. Very helpful staff. Tasty breakfast with a couple of options. All the things we needed assistance with were responded to very quickly. Would recommend this villa to friends. Pillows were pretty hard. Only 2 on the bed.. The option of a softer pillow would have been good. Still slept pretty well, though
- Dragos (9/5): Superb - Awesome infinity pool, and very well maintained garden on the premise. The villa has a small kitchen, with stuff for cooking, and even a blender. There is also a medium sized fridge. The furniture is pretty, with Balinese motif. I appreciate the owners fpr providing a big water bottle with water dispenser on our request, as we hate to buy bottles and contribute to pollution. The AC seems to require a change of freon, as it was not cooling well enough. Although nothing the owners can do, on our last night someone was burning trash in the neighborhood, and it was stinking badly inside our villa.
- Melanie (8/5): Great getaway spot - Set in a beautifully manicured yard that is shared only with the property owners, who are very welcoming. Well equipped with lovely small pool, but best of all - fabulous snorkeling off the beach within 200 meters, and excellent warungs nearby. All good
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Beautiful villa, great little infinity pool, setting in tropical garden. Villa was great but Lipah beach not best part of Amed. Friendly host & hostess.
- Alexandre (8/5): Very good - Everything was alright.
