Guest Reviews
- Chris (10/5): - The room was clean cozy and a comfortable bed. The fire pits out back were a great addition to our vacation sitting around with friends laughing and have a few beers. Definitely recommend staying here
- Michael (10/5): Will be back! - State at this convenient location this is located close to Wheels Through Time! Honor has put lots of little tiny touches and thoughts into taking care of guests. Had a great time, enjoying the fire pits along the stream with the provided firewood and fire starters. Resign great way to in the evening, sitting by the fire and enjoying a sip of bourbon.
- Chuck (10/5): - Everything was excellent
- Katherine (8/5): Meh - The location was perfect and our visit was lovely until we got a little attitude from the lady who was apparently the front desk person this morning. We were attempting to enjoy the common area but she made a thing over the lobby being “closed” and kinda made us feel unwelcome and then smarted off to us. I liked the inn but don’t think we’ll be back, no reason to be passive aggressive, it could have been handled differently. Cest la vie! Maggie Valley is beautiful and has a lot to offer.
- Phillip (10/5): - Great place ! Can’t wait to visit again
- Kyna (10/5): Cute 😍 - Fantastic view. Amazing check-in. Quiet. Quaint. Not the most updated but perfect for a weekend away. Room wasn't dirty but we did find random jelly beans under the bed. Would definitely stay again.
- Roscoe (8/5): - Diana was one of the sweetest ladies you love to meet at check in. Great sense of humor and made sure I knew about all that they offered. Like the box of rags they have to wipe down my bike. So very motorcycle friendly.
The room was spacious and very clean. Beds slept good. Bathroom was clean and had hairdryer and all for the girls.
The balcony was nice over looking the creek. Picnic tables and fire pits at the creek, as well as the front. A big gazebo with plenty of chairs and tables and fire pit there too. Ice machine in with a guest laundry room. Don't see laundry room in motels like this, so a nice bonus.
Parking lot was of decent size. Enough to hold 1 vehicle per room. We could get 3 bikes in one spot.
- Christine (8/5): Maggie Valley stay! - Hotel location is a couple streets from Bike museum. We came for Thunder in the Smokies rally! Outside fire pit was a excellent end to our day! Rooms were clean.
- Danny (10/5): - It was a nice place the mattresses could use a up grade. Other than that it’s perfect nice, calm, relaxing really nice lady at the front desk
- Sheri (10/5): - The back porch and sound of the river made this stay perfect! The absolute squeaky clean of the room was icing on the top!
- Michael (8/5): - Nice and quiet and easy to get into and out off
- stacey (10/5): An affordable gem. - Amazing staff. Comfortable, clean rooms, and a cozy atmosphere. Creekside rooms have balconies overlooking firepits and picnic tables beside the creek.
- Anne (10/5): - It was pretty basic but very clean. The best part was the back patio overlooking the lake.
- Amy (10/5): Amazing Weekend Trip - The lady owner is the nicest and she makes it feel so welcoming. This is the 2nd time staying here and we will be back soon
- Tracy (10/5): - Will be going back, lodge was nice and clean.
BBQ dinner at Pops Butts on the Creek was very good, J.Arthurs Restaurant was Awesome.
Best Filet Mignon we have had in a long time.
Fun time even with rain...antiquing
- Cayce (10/5): - Nothing special, but very clean and welcoming
- Karon (10/5): Great Motel! - Our stay was so relaxing and amazing. We will be back to stay again. The nice ladies that own the motel were awesome and so helpful with checking in and out.
- Michael (10/5): - Love
- Gene (10/5): - It's always a pleasure to stay at creekside lounge. The staff is always pleasant and the rooms are very clean. They have been my pic of places to stay for 15 years now. Thanks to creekside lounge staff for a wonderful place to stay.
- Chris (10/5): - Its a older place but it was clean.
It didn't ’t have a breakfast but that wasn't that big of a deal to us. The rooms over looking the creek had a beautiful view.
Next time im back in town. No question where I'm staying.
- Janis (10/5): - Wonderful property right on the creek with balconies on some of the rooms. Picnic tables and grills by the creek for your use. Quiet and comfy room. The room was a little vintage, but very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Check in was super easy and a very nice lady checked us in.
- Amile (8/5): - I did not like that the property did not receive our information from Travelocity. When we got to the lodge the inkeeper said that she did not have us booked on her computer. Lucky she had room for us. Travelocity sent me a conformation code that said we were booked, but the in keeper had nothing. She said that is not the first time that this has happened. It made me lose confidence in Travelocity and their abilities to secure me a room. If the inkeeper had not had room for us, I don't know what we would had done. It was late in the day by the time we checked in and most of the othe hotels in that area were booked. I don't know if I will be using Travelocity again.
- Sherry (10/5): - Clean everything was so comfortable and friendly.
- Wince (10/5): - Stayed here for Jeep fest. AC worked flawlessly, room was very clean and smelled good, slept wonderfully and the sound of the creek made sleep even better. Olde establishment but the upkeep was spot on. Will be staying here again next year
- Donna (10/5): Great place. - It was amazing. We had a great view of the creek in the back. You could leave the door open and listen to the creek so soothing. Room service was amazing. The clero was very friendly and courtious and information.
- Jacky (10/5): - When I arrived at the property the staff immediately recognized me and got us checked in, the process was smooth and informative to what was available to us as guest which included everything on the property, grills and griddle for cooking, numerous sitting areas with stocked fire pits even along side the creek, they were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We absolutely loved this place!
- James (10/5): - This motel is a decent value.
- Randy (10/5): - Beautiful view around mountains and nice quiet town
- Carl (10/5): - The Room and Property was very clean and quiet! Had a very cozy feel to it! The staff was great and friendly! The bed was soft and comfortable! I would definitely recommend staying at this location.
- Michelle (10/5): - Very clean
- David (6/5): - Wifi quality was poor, kept dropping, slow.
- Daniel (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay. The room was so clean and homely. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to the creek. Our favourite part was sitting and chatting to the owner each evening. She even put the fire on in the main room after our day in the mountains. We also loved her dog Grace. Do not hesitate staying here. We couldnt have wished for a better stay :)
- Bryan (10/5): - Clean..great management
- Monica (10/5): - Friendly easy check in and out
Very clean room
- Tim (8/5): - Loved the property!
- Samantha (10/5): Wonderful! - Very cozy and romantic. The bed was comfy, and the room itself was so homey. We stayed in a king suite with a Jacuzzi tub. It was such a relaxing time! I will say that we couldn't help but notice the many cobwebs and dust bunnies on the ceiling, and the wifi wasn't working. It seemed that something was wrong with the router. Overall, it was a wonderful time, though and we would go back again, and plan to do so in the future.
- Dillan (10/5): Must stay - Amazing
- Christy (10/5): - I nice, quiet location with good rates. Perfect for a short weekend getaway!
- Nicholas (10/5): - It was fantastic, Carol was an amazing person! Will stay here again!!
- Michelle (10/5): Great place, super cozy feel - We had a balcony room with two queen beds, the room was super cozy and the view was beautiful! I could sit out there with coffee and listen to the creek all day!
- Charles (10/5): - Our stay at the Maggie Valley Creekside Lodge was wonderful! ♥️. We loved the quaintness of the lodge! We walked in to check in, and the owner, Carol, came walking up in the cutest Fall sweater and holding a hot mug of something! While a roaring fire was in the fireplace! (Which just added to the cuteness of the place!). She was just as sweet as can be and everything was decorated beautifully!! We got in our room and changed and headed out for a concert, we went in to see if she could take our picture and she went above and beyond and relit the fireplace and taking various pictures of us!😊. We had a king room with jacuzzi and everything was perfect! The room was clean and comfortable and the balcony overlooking the creek was perfect for my morning coffee! My only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer!! We look forward to going back another time!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean rooms - Clean room, average condition for a motel of its age. Friendly service. 11/2024

- Robert (10/5): - Property and management was great, hotel was peaceful and relaxing
- 134shirleyj (10/5): Wonderful Experience - I have stayed at Maggie Valley Creekside Lodge for at least 7 times. Have NEVER been disappointed. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. My last visit was in September 2023, and I will be headed that way again this September. Have never had any problems, and I know IF there was ever any, it would be taken care of immediately. This is a family-owned lodge, and they treat you like family. I always reserve a second-floor room overlooking Jonathan Creek - it's a beautiful running babbling brook!! Each room located by the creek has two rocking chairs for you to sit and enjoy the nature God has given that area. I highly recommend staying at Maggie Valley Creekside Lodge! And when you do, make sure you stop to say hello to Gracie, such a beautiful friendly dog.
- Storyteller202764 (10/5): Best hotel in the area. - This was a very nice and quaint, staff was super friendly. The hotel was very clean. Has a covered area with games, grills, and tables. The firepits are very nice, wood is provided. Peaceful mountain views. Great location. Was family friendly and biker friendly. Location was perfect for our visit. Will definitely stay here again.
- johnkI9113VY (6/5): Your experience here is room type and location dependent. - Clean and comfortable room. We were up stairs, which was hard lugging stuff up and down. Our room had a private balcony over looking the creek, and table and chairs which was very nice. Parking lot can be tight at times and the door locks were worn and need oil or replaced. Staff was friendly and prompt. I think your experience here is very much room type and location dependent. Our friends had a 1st floor room, but there is no privacy when on the creek side of your room. I would recommend a 1st floor room with a private porch. If steps bother you and 1st floor not available, then I would pass on this property.
- Jerome (10/5): - It is a older property but well maintained. The only issue we had were the motorcycle groups. They trailered in the bikes then took up parking for each bike and vehicle. That isn't the properties fault just something to be aware of
- Lisa (10/5): - Great stay
- Drema (10/5): - Great place to lodge. Staff was extremely nice and property is clean.
- Anthony (10/5): Nice, clean convenient place to stay - Very clean, nice place to stay. Staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.

- Kristy (10/5): - It was Amazing!! Highly recommend. The service was welcoming, the room was so clean and nice. The views are great. Will definitely be going back in near future.
- Kathy (10/5): - Very clean and everyone was so nice
- Justin (10/5): - We loved being able to sit on the back porch in the rocking chairs and enjoy the creek. It was beautiful!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay stay - Good location and clean, however the refrigerator and A/C barely worked, had to go to gas station to buy some ice for cooler. No breakfast served.

- Deborah (8/5): - The mattress were somewhat hard and older as was the carpets but this place was the cleanest older hotel I have ever seen. I would definitely recommend. Beware, upstairs doesn’t have an elevator but just two flights of stairs. Love the community area with the fire pit and huge covered shelter.
- Chia-Chun (8/5): - The bathroom is small but clean overall and the staff is very nice.

The front desk lady told us some great spots to visit and the recommended restaurants were really good. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Having a balcony overlooking the creek with its rippling waters was a bonus. We even took advantage of the swing and had a picnic too. I would definitely recommend staying here!
- Ruthy (10/5): - This place is great! We enjoyed our stay here this past weekend (9/16-9/18). Everyone was so nice and friendly and we just felt at home here. The room was very clean and bed was super comfy. We will definitely be back in the future. Thank You Carol and staff for your hospitality.
