Guest Reviews
- Claude Jerome (8/5): - The accommodation was fair. Located in a convenient and easily accessible location. Catering was good except for breakfast which was very limited.
This is a touristy area so the nightclub music is very loud until early hours of the morning even In the week.
The property does not have a generator so there is only WiFi access for 6 hours a day. Zambia is currently going through severe power outages, with 6 hours electricity every 18 hours.
- Tak Sung (6/5): - Location is good as it is near the bus terminal and you can walk around within the area where you can find restaurants, shops and supermarkets Mosquito coils should be lighted to get rid of the insects especially in the dinning area.. Breakfast is so so especially the continental.
staff are nice.
- Zarko (10/5): Stay and support - Great location and people who work there. Stay there and support associated school and children.
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay for - You get what you pay for. mosquitos on property and in room. No tea device in room provided has advertised. Pizza was ok for zambia, but not Italy. Property has potential and needs updating. The staff was good,
- Sherrill (10/5): - Excellent value for the price, while also helping a nonprofit. Well-appointed, spacious rooms. Delicious full English breakfast included. Delicious pizza and other food available for purchase for lunch and dinner. Staff are enjoyable and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Muy buen hotel - muy buen hotel, bastante limpio y con buena ubicacion. Incluia desayuno y habia una agencia de viajes que ofrecia tours. El wifi solo estaba disponible en las areas publicas
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, hospitable/helpful staff, great location that is walking distance to town and attractions, great restaurant. Would definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No sound insulation therefore we could hear very very loud music that kep me awake till 3.00am!!!!!!!!
Never again for relaxing holiday
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Food was great and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
- Rebecca (10/5): Great stay in spacious airy rooms. - Great spacious rooms with soothing ceiling fan. Rooms are in a shady breezy courtyard with a great pizza pasta restaurant. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Good, clean, you get exactly as described and what you pay for. Staff well trained, attentive and polite. Very convenient to have good food served on the premises and the restaurant area is cosy and welcoming.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at Olga’s. Nothing glamorous but very comfortable and staff was always polite and very helpful with booking our activities throughout our stay. Food was great too! We ate their for almost every meal, very convenient, and we always loved the music playing outside where we ate. I would return if in Livingstone again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was good, the room was as per the pictures, the bathroom was clean and functional and service was also fine.
The pizza and pasta were very nice. Breakfast was nice, the coffe was tasty.
If you're looking for a simple comfortable place, this is where you should go. I have absolutely no complaints, but also nothing to rave about or would put me off. Good value for money and friendly service, good food
- Paul (8/5): Clean, Secure, and gives back to the community. - This is not luxury accommodation, but it is clean, comfortable, affordable, and helps young Zambian learn trades in the hospitality industry. It is very well located in downtown Livingston, and all of the tours and activities will pick up there. We felt very secure there to. The property is gated, with an attendant on duty 24 hrs. It has a charm all its own. Food at the onsite restaurant is very good. Excellent breakfast included with room.
- Henry (8/5): Livingstone - Olgas is an interesting place to stay. The food is super good, so good that we ended up eating all our dinners there. We asked about their NGO, and took a tour of the training school which a portion of their earnings are supposed to be supporting. The school is providing instruction in trades to about 250 students. They are very hands on and are apparently doing a good work in their instruction, however we were told that Olgas has served primarily as an outlet for their finished products and there appears to be no current direct funding to the school by the Olgas association.
The staff are great, the location is good to access cabs to go out to the falls and downtown is easy walking distance.
The major problem is that the hotel is next to a church that has a bell which goes off at 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. If you are a light sleeper be forewarned. We found this to be a minor distraction and would stay there anyway because of the staff and the food.
- Kanako (8/5): - Facilities are acceptable level. Supermakets locats in just 2min walk. We had some option for breakfast. But it was served very slowly. We waited for 25min since we ordered it at 7am. The same restaurant for breakfast in the hotel provides Italian food at night which were tasty.
- Verified traveler (8/5): buena ubicacion muy ruidoso - Muy bien ubicado. Muy ruidoso
- Charli (6/5): - Pros
- The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice enough
- food at the restaurant was fantastic
- local shops and a few restaurants are right across the road and it is a short walk to Livingston city
Cons
- no wifi at all during the time I stayed there I was only ever able to connect for 3-4 minuets at a time.
- The staff seem ignorant and apathetic to any issues presented to them
- taxis organised through the hotel are easily tipple the price you’d pay from the guys at the shopping center across the road
- Andres (10/5): great stay - Very nice hotel, with a sustainable project involving local people. Nice food, large and clean rooms, great staff. Only the wifi was very slow.
