- Ivan (7/5): Good place to stay with a great location. - Location in South Park is good. They have onsite parking which is nice. Hotel could use some upgrades, but it was overall good. Breakfast was average and kind of pricy. Getting in and out of parking arm, for some, was a challenge.

The hot water in our bathroom was inconsistent which didn't make for a lovely shower experience. We also found the rooms to be the opposite of sound proof. We could hear EVERYTHING that went on in the hallway and the rooms on either side of us (especially in the wee hours of the night).
- Peter (10/5): Lovely stay in a lovely area in Charlotte - Hilton Gardens Inn South Park Charlotte is very nice and huge. Just minutes from everything in South Park. We are flying out today and needed a place to stay overnight. Area is lovely and w add walkable.

Our room AC was not working; the maintenance officer promptly came and attempted to fix the unit. He moved us to another room immediately making it easier. Breakfast was excellent and our server amazing!! Everyone was polite, welcoming and friendly. We loved our stay.

- migueljF5117FM (10/5): 🤩First Time Stay – Very Impressed! - Just stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte/South Park for the first time and I was super impressed. Check-in staff were very friendly and welcoming. While they don’t offer an airport shuttle (the hotel is a bit away from the airport), I used Uber with no issues. The room was incredibly spacious and immaculately clean. It had everything I needed a refrigerator, Keurig, microwave, a full counter, desk, small walk-in closet, and a bathroom with a great shower. I had a beautiful view of the pool area and honestly, nothing to complain about. Would definitely stay here again!

- Matt (4/5): - The guy that checked me in when I got there was awesome. .He was an older African American man. Great guy. The issue that I had was my room smelled really bad of mildew. I even had mildew forming on my white hat as it Sat in the room over a couple days. It needed a dehumidifier badly. I told one of the guys working there at the desk when I checked out. Also I bought some candy from a guy at the front desk the second day and he wasn't great at service. I think he had iPods in. The breakfasts were great at restaurant. But the mildew smell etc took a lot away from the stay.

- Ohicemaker (10/5): Short trip for PGA - Stayed here a couple of nights while attending the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. Accommodations were great and clean! As soon as we checked in, received a text from Anthony making sure everything was as expected. He also texted each day of our stay. We needed some extra towels and he had them sent to our room within minutes. Excellent customer service. There is ice water and some snacks in the lobby as well as a small self serve coffee bar available all day. This property has a beautiful courtyard with a nice pool (just a little chilly) and gorgeous magnolia trees! There is a great bar that has fun, knowledgeable bartenders and a nice food menu. Also had breakfast in the other restaurant on our last day, which was fine. There are several dining options nearby, as well as some shopping areas. Would definitely stay at this property again if the need arises.

- GrumpyBear99 (8/5): Great location within walking distance of SouthPark Mall - I chose the HGI Charlotte/SouthPark for my 4-night stay last May due to its proximity to SouthPark Mall (shuttle bus for the Wells Fargo Championship departed from the Belk parking deck, within walking distance of this hotel). Upon arrival, I found a parking spot on the first floor (ground level) of the small hotel parking deck ($10/day), which was a little dingy and smelled bad but was fairly secure and sheltered from the elements. Staff members I encountered were courteous and professional. Re: hotel dining options - I never ate breakfast there so can't comment on that; the bar food was decent enough for dinner. My 2 Queen room on the 7th floor was spacious, clean and quiet, however, my final night was marred by the failure of the hotel's backup generator after a neighborhood power outage caused by a tree falling on nearby power lines during a thunderstorm. Of course the latter was out of the hotel's control, but it's unacceptable that the generator failed - hopefully, by now the hotel has either replaced the generator or is spending more to properly maintain it! After having to walk a few blocks to find a restaurant with power that night, I returned after dinner to strangely apocalyptic scenes: staff members lighting the way through the kitchen to the back stairs with flashlights; and lots of guests lugging their bags down those dimly-lit stairs as they checked out to find other hotels, having decided that they really didn't want to forego lights, TV, hot water, elevators and AC. I decided to stick it out since it was my 4th and final night, even though it was uncomfortably hot on the 7th floor (much cooler outside), I had to take a cold shower and was only given one flashlight (power was restored after about 8 hours). They did refund me for that night's stay but only because I asked them to at check-out (should have been offered immediately) and the manager happened to be there. Will probably return in the future given the excellent location.

We thought the room was good but at times, we heard noise from the hallways or even doors slamming. Thankfully we bring our own sound machine but besides that, it was a good place to stay for the night.

We have stayed here many time and it will be the last! The pillows have no substance and are paper thin. The air conditioning made noises on and off all night!
