Guest Reviews
- Sinbad (4/5): - Tired, worn rooms with atrocious wallpaper that had pieces ripped from the roll and pasted in. Extremely pompous owner who fought with his wife the cook in the kitchen, then charged us 18 euros for a caesar salad for two! Mold and dust in rooms. No hot water or heat until we asked it be turned on...owner had “forgotten.” Breakfast supposed to be included and supposed to start at eight a.m., which is very late for pilgrims walking to Santiago. Owner saw us standing outside waiting but did not raise his night time security screen until he saw us decide to walk on. This is a lovely rural location with admittedly good food but tired rooms...and a stranglehold on the market. Be prepared to pay through your teeth and out up with extreme pomposity. Very uncomfortable beds.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Host was above and beyond, the food was amazing and the room exceptional
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I read other reviews on this property and was very much looking forward to our stay, however, the owner/staff must have been having an off day as they seemed aloof and perhaps even irritated. The woman who served us at breakfast they were great.
The inn is lovely and it is obvious that the owners did pride in this property
- kathy (10/5): Lovely hotel and restaurant on the Camino - We had no idea how delightful this hotel would be. Fright on the Camino it offered beautiful rooms and a delicious restaurant. The owners were wonderful and we will be returning.
- Anthony (10/5): Welcome haven on the Camino. - An amazing place to stay. What hospitality and beautiful accommodation! We spent our last night of the Portuguese Camino there and it was a real treat. Pepe(hope name is right) cooked the most delicious dinner...very generous portions! Treated us to a pre dinner vino tinto on the house . Maria was most welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious...including home made yogurt and strawberries. They could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. The setting in a small village is an oasis of peace after the noise of the busy N550 . Well worth stopping here!
