- kimhX8021QN (2/5): Utter Disappointment - Pros: Felt safe. Clean property Cons: Usually I come to Rome alone to visit family. I stay at the Quality Inn or LaQuinta. But, with it being the holidays and all my family coming thought we would “upgrade” some. Make it special…. A hotel with a sit down restaurant, a bar. Starbucks, room service. We had 2 rooms for 2 couples and 1 infant. The only staff member we saw was at the front desk. Ever! We were there for 2 nights. Our rooms were never refreshed. Husband was told this morning he could come down and get more coffee pods. Do not bring more than one or 2 drinks to put in fridge cause it’s not mini fridge it’s a micro fridge. No food or beverage service was available. None! Excuse given “low occupancy”. Were we offered discounts for the lack of amenities or convenience NO! So yeah, go ahead and book Quality inn. Rooms are equal. Staff is amazing and accommodating and the Free breakfast is decent At least you feel like a guest

This hotel sells expensive, lukewarm Starbucks. Hotel guests in Rome Georgia should not be paying for parking.($10 a day)

- RickH212 (6/5): Convenient to downtown, but.... - It's a nice building but it nearing the stage where remodeling would be beneficial. The wallpaper was starting to peel at the seams and the AC unit sounded like an old washing machine. Called the desk twice but they didn't offer any suggestions.

On this occasion, I was given Room 337. The shower is in horrible condition. Marriott should be embarrassed. This room should not be used until the shower is replaced. See the picture.

Glad we could bring our pet Early checking was impossible for my in-laws that were going to a wedding in early afternoon. We didn't need advice from staff to arrive the night before to have a room available for them to be secured to beable to be ready for the wedding on the day of the wedding. That was unacceptable. This hotel has to have a million wedding parties booked on a yearly basis, so there should be something before 3pm with all of the rooms you have in this location. Just because checkout is at 3pm doesn't mean there are some guests that wait until 12 pm to check out. My in-laws are very old and needed to wait until the morning of the wedding to arrive. They wanted to check in at 11:30 am. But the desk wouldn't even let them check in or even made them feel comfortable about even getting a room, letting alone getting the room late. They had a reservation for a room for the 12th of April several days before arrival. It was total limbo when they were going to be able to check in. So why not check them in and then have their information to let them know that there was a room available? That's not so hard, in my opinion. That's your business for making people comfortable. So I thought. They were so stressed out having to go back to the desk 4 times in 3 hours to see if they could get a room. I was so embarrassed because I told them this was our booking and they would love it. They had to have a driver to get them there and pick them up the next day, so he just had to wait that whole time waiting to see if they were going to have to go somewhere else. We told them their circumstances and they told us that they recommend coming the night before!!! AH NO! Don't tell me that. We made a reservation, and we have never ever had a problem checking in at any low caliber hotel or at the highest quality hotel like your place. Also, there is no coffee in the hotel as a courtesy for guest night or day. No ice-cold lemon water is available as a complimentary courtesy.

If you get a chance to stay here I would highly recommend it, and be sure to ask for Eunice as she will take good care of you!

- dr_maiso (4/5): The view of the river is beautiful. That's the only good thing about this hotel. - I have stayed here several times over the course of 2024. On this visit, I found on my bill a $10 per day parking charge. They have never charged parking before, as the hotel is in a small town with no parking issues. No one told me about the charge when I checked in or when I booked online. I have called three times to try to get it removed and nothing has happened. The last time I called I was told that there were no managers on duty at all "this week" (I called December 23) because of Christmas. How can you operate a hotel with no managers? Furthermore the breakfast bar is only open when the person who is supposed to cook shows up. One morning I came down and there was someone working there, but she told me the cook didn't come in, and all they had were breakfast sandwiches she could heat up in the microwave. Another morning she told me there hadn't been any guests down to get breakfast in two hours, and the "Marriott policy" is that if that happens, they send the cook home. So there was nothing at all to eat. She gave me a free coffee, like that made it okay, and told me I could walk across the bridge over the river and get breakfast downtown. Did I mention it was 23 degrees out? The dinner is also sketchy. One night I had a great server and got a cocktail that was wonderful. The next night I ordered the same cocktail, and it was served in a totally different glass, and no vodka in it at all. I know this seems petty, but a cocktail should be standard, not vary depending on who is there that night. The food was good one night and bad the next. I expect consistency if nothing else. I am so disappointed, as we have always stayed here when we come to town. We are going to Rome again tomorrow and while we would have booked the Marriott again, we are now going to the Holiday Inn Express for tomorrow and all subsequent trips to Rome.

- Michael (8/5): - I had booked a room with a King Size bed and sofa bed as I was travelling with my wife and adult daughter. The room we were given was had only a King size bed. I contacted the front desk and was offered a trundle bed. That would not do for my adult daughter. I was offered another room that did have a King size bed and sofa bed which matched my needs. However this room was adjacent to the building HVAC unit which would start up about every 30 minutes. It was hard to sleep at times and probably would have been better if it was left on all the time. Perhaps if I was told about this I may have looked at other options. Also the water pressure of the shower made it almost unusable. Basically just a trickle at times even with adjusting the shower head.

- Donald (6/5): - Great location, but when we checked into our room, there was a pair of men’s boxers (I think) that was left in the closet from a prior guest that the cleaning staff must have missed. I’m questioning what other things in the room where overlooked.

- Christoph (8/5): - Room maintenance was not very thorough, for the price of the room a daily service should be provided, towels were not exchanged even that they were dirty. Bar service was super slow, and bar inventory was insufficient for a busy weekend. Bar was out of a number of offerings early in the evening.

- Boyd (5/5): Passable - Once I got settled in the room, it was comfortable. This hotel is extremely unfriendly for guests to get in and out of the hotel. There are no rooms on the first floor and you have to check in on the second floor and most rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floor. Also, there were few to no luggage carts. All this resulting in numerous highly tedious trip to the car. Then they charge you for parking, despite being a relatively remote area of town. I doubt I will be back.

- Julie (10/5): Modern and welcoming - Friendly staff and great location. Our room on 5th floor was quiet, and we slept quite well. Overall, a clean, modern, facility at a reasonable price. The shower in the king room was a bit slick on the floor in the back. Easily resolved with a towel. I do not really care for the design where the shower water is not blocked with a complete door, but this is just personal preference .
- Pamela (2/5): Wouldn’t stay there again. At another Marriot yes - Room didn’t get cleaned every other day . Bathroom wasn’t that clean in shower. Never had a room with no microwave. And had to ask for clean towels every day. And they wanted me to go get them . The place was designed nice
- Anushree (9/5): I enjoyed my stay. I accidentally licked my keys in the trunk and your staff did all they could to help me. I am extreme - It was clean, easy to get around. The staff was welcoming.
- Richard (6/5): - We were put in a room overlooking a construction site. We weren’t told that parking was extra-just hot billed for it. No breakfast included either (starting to be like the airlines), and if you didn’t buy the breakfast you couldn’t even get coffee.

- amyburke1 (10/5): Clean and friendly! - We stay here once a year and it is always incredibly clean and the staff is friendly! Great location - we love to eat at Blossom Hill just a short walk away. Only downside this year was that the city came and emptied the dumpster outside our room at 6am. But I understand that isn’t of their control. Will be back next summer!
