They told me that they were full and could not help me, I waited an hour before being allowed to rebook. Then they couldn't get me a room key because their key maker was broken.

- Samantha (5/5): Next time I know to call first. - My reservation was for two beds and a sleeper couch, I got a king bed and a chair. We are three people. The front desk said they would give me another king room but I was traveling with two minors and couldn’t do that. One child was able to sleep in a friends room since we were there for a dance competition. I was told I would be compensated on my bill, never happened. Many people had their reservations messed up that night.

- Miller (8/5): The Marriott, Fresh Meadows is convenient to NYC and Long Island. It is a new, clean and safe. - It was very nice to stay in a rather new hotel, located central to my travel requirements. I paid for breakfast at the cafe on the main level. The woman at the counter was lovely and quite friendly, as was the gentleman at the front desk when I checked in. I am grateful that the cafe was there, but I guess I've been spoiled over the years with 'breakfast included" options. I am glad I had a clean, safe place to stay. I spent more than I wanted to - in order to attend a family funeral, on valet parking, tips and breakfast, but I understand that NY pricing is a fact of life.

- Iyesata (1/5): You need a full staff at all times of check in .. it's very unprofessional to have people come in and one is at the - I pulled up there was no one at the front desk like a ghost hotel, then when the person he help a white person before me and I was standing there more than 8 min. Once I got on the elevator and headed to my room my key didn't work I had to drag all my things back down stairs and wait for the person who disappeared to come back to the front desk again.. The service was terrible and I used to stay here all the time .. The services I was exhausted

- Lisa (6/5): - My stay was satisfactory. Unfortunately my parking experience was terrible.I was charged 46.00 for parking. I was given a ticket upon checking in and told to call down when I wanted the car. We came down after calling and the attendant couldn't find the car, acted very disoriented, and after waiting 20 mins he brings up the car , but refuses to give us the keys because he said they belonged to a Mercedes. Our Nissan Rogue and Mercedes both have it's own emblem on the key fob. The owners of the Mercedes were trying to explain and my husband had his set of keys the exact same that the attendant had. He still refused to give us the keys until we went inside to talk to the manager. The attendant was rude and at no time apologized for the hotels error in giving each of us the wrong tickets for our cars. I checked into this hotel to be near my surgeon. The disorganization of the attendant caused me to be late for my appointment. I feel there should be some compensation for the aggravation and trouble we had to endure just to park. I wasn't notified there was a charge until I checked out. This was quite unprofessional for a chain hotel.

- Valerie (8/5): Quick night in Queens - Front desk staff was great at check-in. In and Out valet service worked well. They had our car ready by the time we got downstairs - honestly less than 5 minutes. The room and bathroom were very clean! The bed was comfortable. Plenty of places to eat a short drive or walk from the hotel. The only con was getting stuck in the elevator for a few minutes. The elevator adjusted itself and let us go! We walked up and down the 6 flights the rest of the time - we were just too chicken to try it again. The person in guest services was very kind when I called to report it. He apologized right away and asked if we were OK. All in all a good stay. We will stay here again.

- Danielle (6/5): Dont waste your money on the breakfast - Room had a funny smell and dont bother adding the breakfast on. Its a complete rip off, they charge you 30 dollars for either a bowl of lumpy, watery oatmeal or a breakfast sandwich on a hamburger roll with a coffee. Not even a choice of a substitution if youre not a coffee drinker. They did have a nice area out back to relax in. Overpriced for what you actually get.

- MilesDavislovesyou (2/5): What a total shambles - I have to say that Marriott should be thoroughly ashamed of putting their name to this hotel. The whole experience from start to finish was awful. Check in lasted 30 minutes as two incompetent staff flustered around trying to find a room that was clean. I was on the verge of leaving but it was late so I persisted and waited for a room. The hotel is also not very clean, corridors and lift scattered with bits of rubbish. It all felt quite shabby. Upon check in the room was fine but pillows were awful and the room noisy. The front facing rooms all face a busy highway with constant traffic noise. Breakfast was very basic with a voucher covering a breakfast roll and cup of coffee. My room wasn’t cleaned the following day, I don’t know why but I had already decided to check out so didn’t complain. The final issue in check out no manager or desk staff in sight. I had to wait another 10 minutes for a member of that to return to the desk to check me out. Also the booking reference didn’t show up on my Marriott hotel app, despite the fact I gave the number on checkin. What a total shambles

When we booked, our room booking was for 4 people (adults and children) - but there were only 3 bath towels in the bathroom. We had to go to the front desk to request more as housekeeping would not provide them - front desk staff were great and provided - but our room booking was for 4 so would be nice if the required number of towels were already in the room. When I checked in I was advised that we would have to request room cleaning - so I asked that our room be cleaned each day of our stay (there's 4 people in the room) and then told I'd have to call everyday to request it - that is very inconvenient esp if I am letting you know at arrival I want it daily - it would be nice if you could note it down vs me having to request it daily.

- 994janices (10/5): Check in early for valet parking - We got to the hotel late and there were no valet spots available. That was so anxiety producing for me and my husband and we didn't know what to do. I had to pressure and insist to the young valet person on what to do. I demanded reasonable solutions and was freaking out because I did not know the neighborhood. Fortunately, after driving around, we could see that it was a good neighborhood with high-end vehicles parked on the streets. We had to park about 3-4 blocks away, but it seemed safe. Very clean room, easy check in and out.

- LauraMerrell (10/5): Excellent Find Near LGA - Pleasantly surprised by the Queens/Fresh Meadows Courtyard! My flight from LGA was cancelled at 8pm. As a solo female business traveler, I was lucky to have found the hotel which felt safe upon arrival and offered great accommodations. Friendly staff welcomed me, room was fresh, clean and comfy. Bathroom/shower was great, too. Although I did not use it, there was a bar/restaurant area. In the morning, a very nice woman prepping the restaurant area which was not open yet, but kindly made a coffee for me. There is a comfortable lounge area with couches and chairs, plus an outdoor courtyard that has a cool seating area. Very reasonably priced, too! 10 min from LGA.

When we called for housekeeping to bring toilet paper we only got one roll they only had given us complimentary water 3 bottles had to go purchased water the staff doesn’t talk to each other we had left our luggage to store when we sign out from the hotel when I called to let them know our flight was delayed we will come back to get them they were going to get ready to put them out not sure if outside in front of the hotel or in the lobby when I spoke to an agent earlier that we will go pick them up they just don’t want us to leave them overnight

- cheekuany2024 (2/5): Absolutely terrible and a nightmare experience. - There was zero customer service, no management presence, and the front desk staff were extremely unprofessional, rude, and even hostile. Our booking was canceled without our consent by the front desk staff member, Shania, simply because we asked to view the room before our check-in day. She became upset when my husband asked for her name and the manager’s name — and shockingly, she turned around, canceled our reservation, slammed the door, filmed us, and even called the police on us for no reason. She completely ruined our wedding plans and caused me to have a mental breakdown the day before our wedding. We contacted Marriott customer service, who agreed the situation was unacceptable and said they would escalate the case since there was no manager on site. What’s worse — they told us the room was booked by someone else after the cancellation, but in reality, Shania held it for over an hour. We had no choice but to re-book it ourselves due to limited availability. The room itself was in horrible condition: no maintenance, stains everywhere, peeling walls, and even visible blood stains on the wall next to the toilet. Absolutely disgusting and beyond unacceptable. This was one of the worst experiences we've ever had, especially during such an important time in our lives. Completely unacceptable and outrageous for a Marriott property. We’ve called Marriott customer service multiple times, and each time they told us the case would be escalated. Yet to this day, no one from upper management has reached out to us. I eventually received an email from the front desk supervisor, but her tone made it clear that they have no intention of taking any real action. It honestly felt like they just don’t care at all. If you work in customer service — especially in the hospitality industry — you should lead with heart, empathy, and professionalism. Sadly, this experience showed none of that.

- Amanda (4/5): Good space but poor staff. - The building itself is renovated/newer. Its fairly clean, small but looks well put together. I was there Monday to Friday and not once did my room get cleaned. No one came to make the bed or take away dirty towels. On day 3 we had asked to change our towels for fresh ones, the dirty towels were all put together in a pile and it was left there on the floor with new ones just tossed onto the counter. The cleaning staff although friendly, didn’t speak a word of english so when I asked a question upon checking out they couldn’t understand me. The whole front desk staff was unknowledgeable and so young, there’s nothing wrong with staff being young as long as they can provide good customer service which they did not. No one knew about transportation into the city, couldn’t advise where to go to catch public transit, or where to park because valet was always full. Even after the fact I got billed additional charges for something called “enhanced wifi” when booking.com and the Courtyard by Marriott website promotes this location to have free wifi. Overall, the building itself was relatively clean and nice but the poor staff and customer service made my stay terrible. Honestly will never stay here again just because of how the staff do their job. In a hospitality environment, good customer service is crucial and this was a very bad experience.
- U8778WUshivams (2/5): Absolutely the Worst Hotel Experience I've Ever Had! - I had a terrible experience at Courtyard New York Queens/Fresh Meadows and feel compelled to share so others don’t make the same mistake. I called ahead to confirm that if I wanted my room ready for Friday morning, I should book starting Thursday night. I followed this exact instruction and even asked the staff member on the phone if there was anything else I needed to do—she said no. When I arrived Friday morning, the front desk supervisor told me they had given my room away because I was marked as a "no-show" the night before. They didn’t bother to call, email, or contact me in any way to confirm or inquire about my reservation. To make matters worse, they were completely sold out for the weekend. The supervisor was extremely rude and unprofessional, offering zero help or empathy. While they refunded my money (which was the bare minimum), they refused to compensate for the additional Uber trip I had to make while scrambling to find another hotel for my family that same day. I've stayed at countless hotels over the years, and I can confidently say this was the WORST experience I’ve ever had. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and downright disrespectful service. Stay far away from this hotel.
