- Lindsey (9/5): A perfect night away to relax as a couple! - Racine was such a wonderful host! The communication with her was excellent and she was so hospitable. We needed to check in earlier than the normal check in time to get to an event nearby in time and she was very accommodating. We had a fresh pitcher of water in our room and a complimentary bottle of wine. The bed was so comfortable and the tub in our bathroom was roomy and relaxing. The manor was immaculate - it was very clean and well kept. The grounds were also gorgeous. Definitely choose to get the breakfast! We had chocolate babka french toast with bananas and whipped cream and it was literally the best breakfast we have had in a long time. The only downside during our stay was that there was an awesome shower in our bathroom with different types of shower heads, but the water pressure was poor, and we couldn’t seem to get it more than lukewarm when we tried to use it in the morning.

She’s delightful, the breakfasts are to-die-for good (chocolate babka French toast!). Very convenient to Lynchburg and not that far from Charlottesville, a beautiful property with horse chestnuts, a fountain, deer…highly recommend! Nothing! It was fabulous!

- Matan (10/5): Great !! - A big 115 year old house with many authentic antiques displayed and used in a luxurious way. Big lawn all around it for the perfect event. We came for 1 night on a weekday, and it happened to be that we were the only guests that night, so it felt quite private. We've had some great conversations with Racine. It is a very pleasent and special place.

She told us a little bit of the estates history and made us feel like we were friends of hers and the property. At the rooms, she had fresh cooled water waiting and did everything in her power to make us feel like we had just come home. It was awesome to meet Racine and be at Winridge Manor.

The room and the entire home and grounds were beautiful and very clean. The room was thoughtfully supplied with many creature comforts-- fluffy towels, face cloths, warm bedding and extra blankets, coffee maker, candies, fresh water upon arrival and even a bottle of wine and a bag of cookies. I'll be going back. Nothing. Superb!

- Mary (10/5): Beautiful home with spacious room! - Beautiful house. The room we stayed in was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was very clean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Gosh, I’d have to nitpick here because it truly was a great stay. The size of the television was quite small for the size of the room. And while breakfast was delicious, I’m not a big sweet eater first thing in the morning and the breakfast was very sweet. It would have been nice to have a savory option.

- Gary (10/5): Best BNB experience we ever had! - Everything was immaculate! The gardens, pond, home, bedroom were all spotless and you were surrounded little touches that made you feel special. Racine, the owner and host, was warm, friendly, helpful and so inviting. We know, and appreciate good food and the breakfasts were Michelin Star quality!! My wife and I stayed for two nights and didn't want to leave! Everything was perfect!!

The host was very helpful and friendly and gave great recommendations for dinner. There was a discrepancy on the breakfast. Booking.com and all third party websites said “free breakfast” or “ breakfast included”…the host website did not mention additional fee for breakfast but when I communicated with host she said breakfast not included with room price. This was unusual to me…I have stayed in at least a dozen B&B’s and have been never charged extra for breakfast. Suggest the website and third party website correct this or state it more directly before booking a room.

Please note that rooms are on second floor with a flight of stairs and that the king room with two twin beds has a shared bathroom/shower. We were fine with both😊

- Jonathan (10/5): This is a really great find. - What's to like? Everything! We stayed 3 nights in the bed and breakfast. The property is beautiful with a Southern gentile charm. High ceilings, wooden floors, period decor, yet sufficiently updated, delightful grounds with gardens and lawns and deer bounding about in the dawn light. Porch areas inviting you to sit and soak in the surroundings. Big rooms, very comfy beds, wonderful bath, delicious breakfast, very attentive and accommodating staff. Accommodated dietary needs at breakfast. Priced very reasonably. What's not to like. Hmm, let me think. Struggling here. Let's see. A bit of a drive from downtown Lynchburg... 10 to 15 minutes. Bathtub is so big it takes a while to fill. Only one complementary bottle of wine in the room at check in. (The second bottle in the picture I brought not knowing one was included.) I wish I'd taken more pics to show how delightful it is as a bed and breakfast. The website focuses on events.
