• Kumar (10/5): Excellent Stay with Friendly Staff & Great Perfect ocation - All the staffs are so cooperative. Especially The receptionist, she is very supportive. I came around 12. Without any hesitation she arranged the room around 2 o clock. During my 2 days stay. All the staffs are too cooperative and very professional. The location is too convenient for the new comers like me.

• Mary (8/5): Would stay here again. - The Architect is very close to every sight we wanted to go to. The stairs going into the lobby. Need to have a ramp for suitcases. Rooms are small yet tolerable.

• Virginia (9/5): - Nice place to stay. It was clean, staff was friendly and it met our needs. We were able to park our car nearby. We walked to most of the sights. Very convenient and the price was right. Nothing really.

The electrical was bad (hit one switch to turn another off and another light came on, had to unscrew a lightbulb to sleep), clock didn’t work. • Robert (7/5): Comfortable historic property is a great value - The gentleman at the front desk was great. He was friendly recommended a restaurant for dinner, could not have been more helpful. If you don’t have coffee in the rooms you need to make sure it is not out in the lobby. A gym would be an added bonus.

• GP (6/5): - Excellent location with proximity to a number of restaurants, cafes, metro stops and walking distance to the White House and national mall area. Staff were nice and the pre-authorisation deposit was very promptly refunded at check out. The architecture of the building was actually quite interesting - a really curiously shaped bathroom! The room was a little on the cramped side. The main problem with this place however was the fact that my room key only worked about 14% of the time. Even when the box showed a green light the door didn't open half the time and the rest of the time it showed a red light despite the fact that it had already proven to have worked; I had to go to reception to get the card re-coded. Also I'm not sure if this was a mistake from housekeeping, but I had two little bottles of shampoo but no bottle of shower gel in the bathroom, meaning I had to shower with one of the little hand soaps; this wasn't rectified after housekeeping had turned down the room the next day. Not the end of the world but a note that you may want to carry some shower gel just in case.

• Glenn (7/5): Good value for it’s location, but don’t expect much. - Good value. Location was good for metro but wish it was closer to National Mall. Rooms were very tight for a couple. Toilets only had seats like you see in public restrooms. Only one of two elevators worked. The beds were old where the center was caved in due to wear. If you are able to overlook these minor issues, then it’s a good place. We stayed for two nights and it met our needs.

• METravel (8/5): quiet private, and economical stay in downtown DC - Best price and best location! Its like staying in a private historical house. The hotel is so quiet, the rooms are cozy and comfortable, and since there is no commercial F and B activity, it's very private, like a house. And great value for this DC downtown location. Im happy this very historical building is in use and not overpriced like all other hotels in this immediate area. I wish there was tea and coffee in the rooms, and maybe an 'honesty' bar in the lobby for soft drinks, beer and wine. Suggestions for take away food would be good too, maybe some menus in the room or in the lobby.

• Jeffrey (7/5): - Great location, decent value. Street noise from night club below room. I was on 7th floor in corner and patrons leaving bar at 2-3am carried the party onto the sidewalk. A discussion with bar owner about noise would be appropriate A thin wall is all that separated my room (707) from next door. On last night there were kids watching a loud TV past 12 midnight. Had to call to front desk to have them notify the occupants once midnight hit.

• Sofia (10/5): Cozy hotel with a historic vibe. - Loved it. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I really needed. I might have enjoyed having a microwave and fridge in the room, but I made do without a fridge and used the microwave in the lobby. Some might have found the room small, but the size actually made it more comfortable for me to relax. I enjoyed the historic vibe of the hotel. Nothing. I really enjoyed my stay.

• Darren (8/5): Basic but that's good - Great location, very accessible to the main sights of the city and much more affordable than others. Bed wasn't comfortable, the side of the mattress was buckled so sleeping on one side made it awkward.

• JOHN (10/5): I would come back. - Architect's location was convenient for me, very clean, interesting on the 8th floor, good design for me, large bathroom with a good shower stall, much better and safer than a shower in a bathtub. It was very quiet, away from the traffic below. No breakfast included.
• Ferran (7/5): Relació qualtiat preu bona, no és el millor hotel però és una estada correcte. - Molt bona localització, a 5 minuts de la casa blanca i una zona tranquila amb moltes opcions de cafeteries i restaurants. També de transport públic. Servei correcte a la recepció. Edifici històric molt bonic per fora, per dins correcte, te els seus anys però no li falten coses. Ens vàrem deixar un collaret a l'habitació i ens l'estan guardant, ens han indicat que podem enviar un recader a buscar-lo. Poca insonorització entre habitacions, podiem sentir un grup de nois a l'habitació del costat parlant tota la tarda. Servei d'habitacions i utensilis de dutxa pobres. Només ens varen canviar la meitat de tovalloles. Els sabons de mans, xampú etc que ofereixen eren escassos.

• Sabrina Alejandra (9/5): Muy grata - Lo que más destacó es la atención del personal, sobre todo las dos chicas que están durante la tarde, tuve un inconveniente con la reserva y se preocuparon en ayudarme y solucionarme el problema. Las instalaciones del hotel son antiguas pero bien mantenidas, buena limpieza. Gracias por la linda estadia!
• Howard (5/5): A VERY basic hotel with a reasonable price and a good location. Perfectly adequate but just that. - Room was very clean. No gym, room very small (reminiscent of a European rail station hotel) and lacked basic amenities such as dresser space, a stand for luggage, decent lighting, refrigerator. Check-in process slow and a bit surly ('though checkout was quick and gracious, so maybe the issue was one particular employee). HVAC unit in room was noisy--I can usually sleep through anything but I had to get up several times during the night to turn it off, then back on when the room got rather cold.
