• Judith (9/5): Heerlijk hotel met vriendelijke gastvrouw - Hele fijne plek! Supervriendelijke gastvrouw die heel behulpzaam is. Alles brandschoon en comfortabel. Heel lekker ontbijt! Het ontbijt is wel wat aan de dure kant..18 euro pp.. Je krijgt wel waar voor je geld..

• David (10/5): Wonderful magical place - The property is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. It is right outside of Garmisch and part of the way to Mittenwald. It has beautiful views and a fantastic restaurant! The owner and her family are so lovely and welcoming. You will love your stay here!

• Ulrike (7/5): Unterkunft in guter Lage - Lage war gut. Zimmer gemütlich. Matratzen waren besonders bequem. Frühstück war auch gut aber zu teuer. Insgesamt kann ich sagen es war nicht wirklich schlecht, aber ich kann die Unterkunft leider nicht besonders hervorheben. Das Personal war aber sehr freundlich. D Bei unserer Ankunft war der Heizkörper abgedreht. Zimmer war leider nicht ausreichend warm. Mussten erstmal die Heizung aufdrehen. Fernseher war nicht bereit da der Stecker hinter der Kommode (die man zur Seite schieben musste ) ausgesteckt war. So fühlt man sich leider nicht willkommen. WLAN hat auch nicht funktioniert. 2 Lampen (Nachttischleuchte und die im Eingangsbereich) waren defekt. Etwas beengt auf der Toilette. Eigentlich ruhige Lage wenn man keinen lauten Zimmernachbarn hat da die Zimmer sehr hellhörig sind. Unter der Bettdecke war ein Marienkäfer und die Nachttischlampe war staubig. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war sehr schlecht. Das Schild mit der Zimmernummer das eig. über der Türe hängen sollte lag in der Kommode. Bei diesem Übernachtungspreis sollte man als Vermieter darauf achten dass solche Kleinigkeiten die sich dann doch häufen doch auch mal wieder beseitigt werden. Wie gesagt es war nicht alles schlecht und unterm Strich haben wir uns auch wohl gefühlt. Aber es geht noch besser.

• Lea (9/5): Wunderschöner Aufenthalt - Wir waren 8 Tage dort mit unserem 10 Monate Alten Golden Retriever Hund und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt bei Clara und Ihrer Familie. Die Zimmer waren sauber und auch Groß.Man ist innerhalb 10 min mit dem Auto in Garmisch Partenkirchen, wo man wunderschön Wandern gehen kann.Wir waren auch im Restaurant bei Clara essen, was direkt an die Unterkunft abgrenzt, es war so unfassbar lecker, auf jeden Fall eine absolute Empfehlung dort essen zu gehen ( Kleiner Tipp: Der Burger :) ) Vielen lieb Dank Clara für den Tollen Aufenthalt bei euch! :)

• Anne (10/5): - Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind sauber und die Lage ruhig, dennoch ist man innerhalb von 10 Autominuten im Zentrum von Garmisch. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
• Alicja (10/5): - Sehr ruhig gelegen, schöne Aussicht auf den Garten, sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, die sogar an ihrem Ruhetag extra für uns vorbeigekommen ist. Betten sehr bequem, vor dem Haus viele schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt auch für leichtere Wanderungen. Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 15 Minuten mit dem Bus zu erreichen.

• Michl Wag (7/5): Wir waren zufrieden - Wir haben diese Unterkunft gewählt, da sie für Wanderungen gut liegt und man mit dem Auto sehr gut an alle Anfangspunkte gelangt. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer war sehr gut. Manche Dinge im Zimmer könnten erneuert werden, eine Nachttischlampe war ohne Funktion. Außerdem waren die Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Leider wird auf E-Mails nicht geantwortet, sollten Fragen auftauchen muss man dort anrufen.

• Līna (9/5): Superb - Very pleasant stay! We really liked the hotel’s location in Garmisch – peaceful, yet within easy reach of the town center. Our room on the second floor had a balcony, was clean and cozy. The bathroom was quite small, but everything was spotless and well-maintained. The whole place smelled fresh and clean, which we really appreciated. A special thanks to the receptionist – she was very kind, helpful, and gave us great tips about the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay just outside the busy center!

• Thomas (10/5): Best Hotel and Restaurant in Garmisch - We enjoyed everything at Gästehaus Brandnerhof. In fact, this is the second time we stayed there. The first time we were unable to eat at the restaurant, but this time we did. Gästehaus Brandnerhof is by far the best hotel and restaurant we have stayed at. The beds were extremely comfortable, the room is always clean and comfortably warm (winter) and the staff is always the nicest and always attentive. In addition, the restaurant has the most incredible food (steaks, appetizers, etc.) Every meal was delicious! We highly recommend Gästehaus Brandnerhof!!! We enjoyed everything.

• Colin (8/5): a useful stopover on a long journey with an excellent restaurant - the room was very traditional but fine for a stopover. the restaurant is excellent and highly recommended. well located for Garmisch-Partenkirchen I bit shocked when we arrive to what at first look like a farm building. however the ok for an overnight stopover.
• Yuling (4/5): Disappointing - The house has a comfortable environment and greenery. The facilities in the room are not clearly explained, and the kitchen and hot drink kettle cannot be used, which is very inconvenient. It was difficult to enter the room, the owner was not there.
• Srinivasa (9/5): Superb - An excellent place to stay in Kaltenbrunn, which is just 15 mins away from Garmish Bahnhof by bus. A serene view with a brook running nearby was really soothing after a long day of travelling. The place is just near the bus stop as well. Just make sure you plan for reduced bus frequencies particularly in weekends. Shouldn't be a problem for people coming with their own cars.

The check out time is only half an hour, and we had to get a bus, which there is only one every hour at 10:35 so we waited as long as we could, until 10:30 but no one arrived so we had to just leave the key and some money for a bus pass the owner gave us, another issue is that she only gave us this bus pass almost 2 days into our trip but I still had to pay full price since she wasn’t there to talk to about it. Also there’s no wifi.

• Sonika (6/5): It is ok for one night pitstop - The view from the room was pleasant and the surroundings were quiet. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The staff were not responsive and the wifi signal didn't reach the room. Nothing was done by the staff even after multiple complaints. The stay is a little remote with no other restaurants nearby except the one owned by the stay. It was pricey and they don't have room service.

We paid a lot of money for cabs to get from Garmisch and/or the train station to get to and from this hotel. It would have been easier if we had a car, which we didn’t. The was no WiFi as promised. There was a bus we could have used but the owner never gave us free bus passes to use(we asked for them via email and never heard back). There was no coffee in the room and breakfast was not open at the hour posted online. There would also have been a fee with it had we eaten breakfast there.

The restaurant seemed nice enough but we did not use it as we did not want to disturb other guests with our dog and the weather never allowed to just sit outside. Due to the remote nature of the hotel, you need a car to get to anywhere. Or bike. If it is not a problem for you, It's a great place to stay.
