Guest Reviews
- Judith (10/5): Highly recommendable - will be returning. - Beautiful village. Exceptionally good clean accommodation. Lovely garden with outdoor seating. Excellent food & attentive staff - very obliging & friendly - especially Jamie who went the extra mile to be helpful Nothing
- Carol (9/5): Wish I had needed to stay longer! - Beautiful somerset thatched cottage village, cosy premises with v tasteful decor and thoughtful touches like nice mbig mugs, interesting teas as well as coffee and… chocolate Brownies. Quiet and cared for. Radiator and heated towel rail worked well via a cold wet May evening needed it!
I only had breakfast but their Bakery next door made breakfast special: excellent croissant and fresh bread!
- Catherine (10/5): Fabulous - Lovely property was staying for a wedding nearby, they went above and beyond when our taxi driver was unfortunately stuck unable to get us to the wedding and before we even knew there was an issue the Andy from Freeway Taxis had spoken to the owners and they arranged to take us to the venue - service beyond any expectation! Thank you so much
- Peter (9/5): A good stop of for a few days en route to Devon - Excellent Nothing

- Nicholas (9/5): A delightful stay with an exceptional dinner. - The room was very comfortable, with lovely finishing touches. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast was very nice but the veggie sausage could be improved to a modern plant-based product rather than the old-fashioned mixed vegetable sausage. The soundproofing of the rooms could be improved - we could hear the people in the room next door and were concerned they could hear our television after 11pm.
- Juliet (9/5): - Very comfortable and well appointed bedroom sitting room and kitchen, lovely touches such as kitchen facilities. Very clean, and beautifully decorated and furnished rooms. Very good breakfast and welcoming staff, cheerful and helpful particularly enabling to check in a bit early. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Just a little note here the extractor in en- suite shower did not work and light over the mirror did not work properly, was flickering.
- SHARON (9/5): Lovely Somerset pub in close proximity to NT properties - Perfect location, lovely bar staff, great food. Did like the snacks and honesty bar in the Bakers Farmhouse - nice touch Quite expensive for a one night stay and the rooms were quite small

Very cosy and comfortable room with beautiful decor in a great location with plenty of walking trails in the area. Also loved the complimentary treats like the brownies and crisps. The staff were lovely and approachable but the thing that really wowed us was the food! We had lunch there on the first day and it was extraordinary. Would recommend everyone to have a meal there.

The dinner and the cooked breakfast were excellent. The rooms are in a modern extension at the back of the inn, overlooking the car park. No fridge, and had to ask for shampoo, with no conditioner available.
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darcy4846 (8/5): Lovely stay. Pricey but worth it. Would visit again. - It was recommended to us by family who lived nearby. We were not disappointed. It was a lovely comfortable stay and they made us and our two dogs. feel very welcome. They even managed to provide dinner for us even though they were fully booked. Two things. I don’t like duvets so did not sleep well. Also lighting poor for applying makeup. Room itself was beautifully furnished so really just two little niggles.
- Don (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaine (10/5): Fabulous place to stay. - Although we didn't have an evening meal here, we had a lovely cooked breakfast. We were able to have a drink in the bar before we went to our family gathering. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the large bath towels in the huge bathroom. The room was very quiet and exceptionally clean with coffee and tea facilities. The bar and restaurant area were clean and had a good atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet and we slept well. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and responsive. Dinner on Friday night was beautifully cooked, presented and served, and they did separate menus specifically for those with food allergies and even just food preferences, just one example of attention to detail. Breakfast on both days was also excellent.
- Vivienne (10/5): Fantastic stay, fab food, good service and very clean facilities. - The staff were friendly, very efficient and helpful. We broke down in our car and they were very supportive.
