Getting the air conditioner to work required some problem solving for non japanese speakers. The room fan must be on for it to work properly.

• Larkin (8/5): Super comfortable and clean guesthouse - It's very comfortable and clean. We loved the futon beds, and the shared bathroom spaces and common areas were really nice. In terms of the location, we found a couple of great spots to eat in the area, and it was a short walk to public transport options. It felt a little out of the way, and perhaps a little industrial, rather than a charming area to stay. The guest house itself was lovely though. As mentioned, the location was perhaps a little out of the way from the more central and pretty areas of Kyoto, but this could also just be our personal preference.

• javier (6/5): El dueño es muy amable - El dueño era muy amable, estaba limpio La asignación de dormitorios. las dos últimas noches llegaron una familia muy gritones en las mañanas con una niña que golpeada la pared sin parar, ellos no le dijeron nada solo la dejaron que siguiera golpeando las paredes y gritando, fueron unas mañanas horribles , deberían asignar dormitorios para familias y personas sin hijos. También era un poco incómodo que los huéspedes anduvieran en ropa interior caminando por las áreas comunes del baño y los pasillos no era agradable ver a jóvenes en calzones, sobre todo si hay niños y mujeres

• Jack (9/5): Great value clean property - Very clean property with more than sufficient communal facilities and rental items (such as bikes) if needed. Situated close to useful train stations and also 1 minute away from a family mart which was very helpful. There were some restaurants nearby so if you’re feeling lazy there are places to eat close by. Staff were friendly and always happy to assist. Mattress was a bit thin. Not the most uncomfortable but could have been better. They also charge ¥700 per luggage item to store before check in which I thought was a bit steep and not necessary as most places don’t do this.

Intenté preguntar por mensajes directamente a la propietaria en booking pero me respondió demasiado tarde y al final no se resolvió lo del agua. Viajamos en invierno, por lo cual tener acceso a agua caliente era importante. Es lo único negativo de este lugar.

Ik vond fijn, dat wij zelf eten klaar konden maken. Er is zelfs een rijstkoker. De kamers zijn functioneel, de badkamer goed met een mooie waterstraal en genoeg wasbakken. Il faut prendre en compte de prendre des transports (vélo, bus ou taxi) pour se rendre au centre-ville environ 30-40 min en bus mais l'établissement vaut le coup en termes de rapport qualité prix.

• Jasmina (9/5): Tolles Hostel in Kyoto - Tolles Hostel mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern und einer großen Gemeinschaftsküche. Genug sanitäre Anlagen vorhanden, die auch alle sehr sauber sind. Die Zimmer sind auch okay, ohne irgendwelche Annehmlichkeiten. Wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Der Preis und die Lage waren ebenfalls in Ordnung. Man kann sich vor Ort Fahrräder und sogar Sportschuhe ausborgen. Auch Regenschirme sind reichlich vorhanden. Es ist sehr hellhörig.

• justine (1/5): - Very truly disappointed. I feel hurt and scammed. First time ever in Japan. I don't recommend this place... When we arrived we weren't sure where to check-in as nobody welcomed us. A man came without a "Hello" or "Welcome" (again first time in Japan, even in the street strangers will say Hello...). He didn't introduce himself, just asked for my name. Very rude and poor social skills. Our room was small and got very little storage. We got a tiny, thin and old towel each. We usually get to use sleepers in the house cause your shoes have to stay outside but here you get nothing. Not a BnB cause no breakfast. Don't know the second "B" stands for??? Bike maybe? That would be an odd name " Fujitaya Bed and Bike Bike and yoga" Why repeat "bike"? Makes no sens to me.  If so, wouldn't the bike be included in the price? Same as the Breakfast in "bed and breakfast"? No yoga courses or other activities. It was pretty dull inside. No informations. I chose this place thinking we were gonna do yoga but once again it was fake. It doesn't feel like a homestay, a BnB or a hostel. You have to pay for everything, not really a "family feel" as described by the owner. It feels more like it's about earning as much as money as possible than welcoming people into their world. We haven't seen owners during our four days. No staff. Nothing. Only 10min when checking in. What a joke. ¥700 per bag to leave it there before check-in ¥2000 per day for the cheapest bike and ¥12000 per day for the most expensive What the hell? 😅 It's very far from the centre, nothing to do or see around. We paid ¥50,370 for a tiny twin room for three nights. Definitely not worth it. I feel truly deeply scammed. This place is fake, only about the money, not about people.

• Danilo (2/5): Extreme disappointment! - Unfortunately, only the kitchen and common area. Nothing else This place needs to improve! This is my first negative review in a long time. 1. We arrived at 2pm (check-in is at 4pm). We sat there and they told us that because we had arrived before check-in, we needed to pay $5 per bag! Then they told us that the room is ready but if we want to check in before, we need to pay $20.00! So....I have never experienced something like this, especially charging us for the bags!!! Lady that works there, realized how shocked we were, so she said " I will let you check in befoThis place needs to improve! Horrible 2. She took us to the room, and then the second shock. Extremely sweaty odor in the room. Stinks like hell. Nothing in the room, no closet, no lamp, nowhere to put clothes or stuff, ..nothing, just two mattresses on the floor! We somehow believe that they used this room for yoga classes on the regularly bases, because it smells like a yoga studio. 3. Location is not as ppl comments. You need to take the bus, which takes you to the train station and from there to downtown or wherever you go, so it takes around 30-40 minutes wherever you go. Be aware of this. 4. The staff are far from friendly.

• Heidrun (10/5): - Gut war die Lage: Kurze Wege zu Bushaltestellen, Bahnhöfe und Lebensmittelgeschäfte, wo man sich was fürs Frühstück holen kann. In der großen, zum Tatamiraum offenen Gemeinschaftsküche, kann man sich was zubereiten. Die Zimmer sind groß und mit einem Tisch ausgestattet. Ausreichend WCs und Duschen vorhanden. Waschmaschinen. Wir waren als Familie zu viert da und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank für den sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Notre fils de 7 ans est tombé malade, nous devions consulté un médecin. Masa est tout de suite venu en aide pour prendre contact et remplir les démarches administratives afin d'avoir un rendez-vous. • Gaetano (1/5): Ma pire, expérience au Japon - Rien Tout à partir de personnel qui a été très désobligeant, incapable de faire son travail correctement. L’emplacement est très loin du centre-ville de toute activité. Les chambres sont sales ils sont pas nettoyées, le personnel n’est pas à l’écoute du client, le bruit des autres, les gens qui courent qui cuisine après 22 le manque d’activité je me suis fait débiter par carte les frais du séjour. Le lendemain on m’a dit que je t’ai pas débité qu’il fallait payer en espèces, c’est ce que j’ai fait au bout de trois jours, je vois sur mon compte qui m’a été débité la somme qui n’aurait dû pas l’être. Si vous êtes désespérez, vous avez pas où aller dormir une nuit et ensuite vous enfuir c’est l’endroit qui fait pour vous franchement je comprends pas comment les autres ils ont pu lui donner une évaluation meilleure

• Lasse (8/5): - Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Man konnte Wäsche waschen und Gepäck nach Check-out gratis abstellen. Viel Platz im Zimmer und Bähe zum Bad. Dünnes Kopfkissen. Etwas weit entfernt von vielem, dafür aber ein Bus sehr nah.

• Martín Menéndez (9/5): Muy bien - Las zonas comunes son muy agradables. Los baños y las duchas también. La cocina está muy bien también. La habitación es muy espaciosa. muy buen lugar en el que quedarse. Quizás los futones podrían ser un poco más gruesos o consistentes. También, si no se ventila la habitación, a veces huele un poco a cerrado. Pero por lo general, muy buen lugar.

• josefina (5/5): weird - the place was really beautiful and clean. it had a comfortable common space and an equipped kitchen. they want to take your money away from you in every chance they get. they will charge you for leaving your luggage and it is quite expensive. and check in is really late, so i didn’t find that traveler friendly at all. the vibe was just off. also, the private room was just two very thin futon beds in the floor, japanese style i guess. but for the money we paid we expected at least a bed? either way it was a very lovely place but the vibe was so off i would not stay here ever again. when people are all about that “good vibes” and then want to take advantage of travelers it doesn’t feel right.

• Angela (10/5): ml - I never had stayed in a hostel before, and let me tell u ,it was incredible, but my kids told me that not all r like that ,well this one was clean ,the people so very polite, I heard no noise what so ever after I went to bed around 10 pm,the mattress was very comfortable, the location, and I made good friends, it was an experience that I will never forget I liked everything
