- Traditional Restaurant: during the winter season, open only for dinner from 19:30 until 21:30
- L'Alpage: during the winter season, open only for dinner from 19:00 until 22:00 and closed on Tuesdays (except during the winter holidays when it is open all week long)
The free shuttle service is available from mid-December until the end of March only.
The shuttle is only available for transportation to Le Mont d'arbois.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

- E8812KDtj (4/5): unwanted experience - whatever happens, nobody even pretends to care...give us your money and be quiet. after you point out something is missing from your room, nobody gives you feed back, offers no compensation, nothing. beware of staying next to children or noisy couples, you would hear literally everything. sorry, the hotel is beautiful, cuisine is exquisite but i wont return.

The chalet feel was very well done, not over the top, just right. Excellent breakfast but quite slow on replenishing things that had run out. The room we had was close to the swimming pool and there seemed to be no parental control over some exceptionally noisy children. I don't mind children having fun, at all, but parents have a duty to see that they're not bothering others too excessively.

Balcony wasn’t big enough and chairs were uncomfortable. Separate toilet from bathroom. Woken by the kitchen staff every morning- room directly above the kitchen. Food was ok but not great - breakfast eggs weren’t hot and bacon was rarely crispy.

- bart71Wro (6/5): Mediocre as for a 5star hotel - Been at the hotel for skiing vacation from Feb. 9th till Feb. 16th 2024. It is important to stress that my evaluation of the place is based on comparison with other 5-stars hotels in Savoie region I have visited last couple of years. The hotel itself appears to have the gone through the last renovations many years back. That is visible in the lobby, but even more in the rooms (scratches on the walls here and there, obviously aged paint in some corners etc.). What I found especially weird in my room was the toilet bowl combined with a shower (picture enclosed). There was no drinking water supply in the rooms, which again, taking the price of the room should definitely be a standard. Other than that the premises looked ok, but only that, which considering the price of the hotel, was rather disappointing. I should mention however, that there were a lot of old wooden furniture and equipment which contributed to the cozy alpine atmosphere of the premises. The food in Fer A Cheval is definitely to be regarded as satisfactory. Diverse and good quality breakfast offer, and an exquisite in-house restaurant were a satisfying choice both for morning meal, as well as après-ski dinner with friends. The SPA area consists of swimming pool and a small gym as well as two dry and one wet sauna. The area was rather well maintained, although the saunas were not always working, which was frustrating. The staff was neither prompt in having them fixed. Other than that, however, the staff should be regarded as friendly and helpful, although not everybody (even at the reception desk!) was able to communicate in English, which should be a standard, taking the fact that there were numerus guests from abroad in the hotel. Having all that in mind, I would say the hotel left me with a slight flavor of disappointment. There were a lot of aspects and experiences which were only satisfactory, which is especially strange that it wouldn't cost a great effort on the hotel's management side, to make them simply great. Therefore, the value for money ratio of the hotel should be regarded only as average.

- Uros (7/5): Not worth of money and your time. Skip! - Location The hotel is old, consisted of several separate objects, very dark and old furnishing everywhere. The room is so old fashioned that you don’t even have electricity next to the bed to charge your phone. The toilet is separated from the bathroom and so on.. service is really bad but one problem was above all.. all halways and our room was smelling really really bad, more precizely extremely on human sweat from someone from cleaning staff so when they walk through hotel facilities and enter room to cleanx the smell they left behind is so strong that you need to go out immediately or you need to throw out. I was complaining immediately and the reception desk and the manager offered me a drink at the bar so they can parfume the room so of course I refused this, it was quite insulting I must say, especially given that the lady who came to parfume the room I didn’t let come in and she smacked the door being really stressed that she had to come up because I was complaining by phone but I at the end didn’t allow her to mix up chemicals with bad smell from before.. rather opening the balkony since it was closed by them so it looked like a chamber for the night. At the check out rhey didn’t ask anything, no question, no apology, what to say… Also at the pool deck you can find few regular sun beds and the rest is spunge rolled in the white cotton at the decking so that’s where you should lay down and enjoy your 5 star expirience. More litle things can follow but it’s enough, not a 5 star rating for sure.

Unfortunately I forgot a new Hermès belt in the room. I called 5 times to let them know. The staff pretended they didn’t find it. They mentioned the room was empty. It couldn’t be. It’s very unfortunate. You can’t trust the staff.

- Doodah99 (8/5): Lovely stay - We have just returned from a night here and had a wonderful time. We normally visit for just an apero but decided to see what it was like to stay. The spa, ambience etc is wonderful and staff at reception, domestic staff and bar area staff very friendly hospitable. The rooms are small but do the job, if a little dark. Beds are so comfy and had a good nights sleep despite banging and doors slamming in the room above past midnight! Breakfast was great but being our first breakfast there we were not advised that the main buffet was in a separate area, so started eating a basic breakfast of bread and cereal then found the cooked, hams, yoghurts and cheeses in a completely separate area!!!!! Would have been nice if the waitress had been a little bit more helpful at breakfast. I also asked where the fruit juices were which suggested we didn’t know the set up for breakfast. One or two of the waiting staff at breakfast could have been better and much room for improvement there. Slight language barrier with one or two when asking for a second cup of tea. All in all a great stay. We normally stay at a four star resort in Megeve, Having now stayed in both, for the value for money we would return to the 4 star as the rooms are much more spacious. Will return at some point for a special occasion maybe. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
