Guest Reviews
- Elisabeth (3/5): - There were enough bathrooms. On days with nice weather people were sitting outside the pub till late at night. Unfortunatley the windows do not have good sound insulation, even with closed windows you hear everyone very loudly, which makes it very hard to sleep.
It also got extremely hot in the room.
One night there were lots of ants in one of the bathrooms.

- Sean (7/5): Millwall v Derby - The pub was in a good location for my visit to the Den. I stayed in room 7 on the second floor. It was clean, basic and had a tv, desk and chair, open hanging unit, bedside unit and full length mirror. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. Good wifi. There are no tea making facilities in the room but there is a shared one on the landing. The pub below is lovely with a good selection of beers and, the best bit, a pub dog!
I saw food being served which looked very nice. The barman was friendly, too. On arrival I waited several minutes at the bar and a man eventually came from out the back. No apology given and whilst explaining the door code system he seemed a little disinterested.
There was only one toilet and shower for the four rooms on the second floor. There isn't a hand basin in the room, either. The sink in the shared bathroom didn't have a plug. Basic standards, really. For £70, with a shared bathroom, in Bermondsey on a Tuesday night, it was overpriced.

- Fabiana (9/5): London in December - La posizione vicina al centro
Il cane dello staff Prezzi delle birre un po sopra la media
- Stephen (8/5): Basic but good value for money - It was very good value property in a good location, very close to central London. They had a few dogs and one of them was always on the stairs which was a bit of a trip hazard. Very basic place to stay but still very good value for money.
- Gillian (10/5): - Good location for our needs
- Bernens (10/5): Close to transport, nice pub and clean, comfortable rooms. Very nice hosts and a very friendly dog :) - Good location, nice dining area and upstairs. Not very loud for being above a pub, and comfortable room accommodations. Bathrooms shared with other guests but they are quite clean. Lovely owners and dog as well!

- mahi (10/5): Phenomenal - The atmosphere at Grange Pub was amazing; the rooms, bathrooms, and hallway were clean, and the Wi-Fi worked. Additionally, its central location was close to several attractions, making it perfect for people travelling on a budget.
- Natalie (10/5): Cosy and comfortable. - Lovely, cosy, comfortable room in a friendly pub. Clean, quiet and good value.
- George (9/5): Great value stay in a good location - Comfy beds, good value, clean bathrooms Didn’t meet the famous dog :(
- Trudy (7/5): Cheap, mostly good - Staff were friendly, nice pub with good range of drinks and good pizza Room was v basic. The shared bathroom + thin walls = poor sleep. But price was low for London so expectations were low.
- sandrine (9/5): - L‘humour so british des patrons. :))
- Laura (8/5): - Clean and good facilities. Need to take your own tea and coffee etc. though kettle and mugs are provided.
- Peter (9/5): - Charmigt boende i ett mycket trevligt område, ägaren var mycket trevlig och det var lugnt och skönt när man skull sova. Delat badrum och toalett vilket vi visste men det var lite många som delade på det.
- Andy (9/5): Ideal for that part of London. Next time...going to sample the menu too - Great location.
Lovely building

- Tomas MERI (8/5): Budget friendly place - Staff very friendly and easy going. Budget friendly with shared toilets but very lovely atmosphere. Above a pub but the pub is nice and attracts a nice calm audience. Location ok, bus 1 stops just outside. Nothing to complain about.
- Kalle (9/5): Easy convenient clean and well priced - Check in was smooth beds comfortable and the bathrooms clean can't complain especially for the price
- Cindy (8/5): -
- Francis (9/5): - Very helpful staff, very accommodating. No complaints 👌
- Diana (8/5): Pleasant stay in very clean accomodation within walking distance of London Bridge- lovely staff too. - Facilities were kept very clean and very good value for money in a relatively good central London position 25 min walk to London Bridge Nothing given value for money

- Jose (6/5): - Shared bathroom. Three flights of stairs to get to room. The pub in first floor no breakfast. The entrance to rooms through pub. Good thing 1 mile walk to tower bridge. Located in a residential neighborhood. Never guess this is a hotel from looking at the outside. The staff was friendly. The property was pet friendly.

- Nina (10/5): We spent three nights. The area is so nice and calm and we enjoyed to come home from the noisy streets of London and fee - Nice and calm place.
Good pizzas from the oven in backyard and very sneet people.

- Philip (10/5): Great clean , quiet pub with friendly staff. Perfect - Great clean , quiet pub with friendly staff. Perfect
- Kev (7/5): Good -
- Karla (8/5): Very good -
- Karla (9/5): Superb - Spacious room. Bus comes very near the pub. Windows not well isolated, so it got a little chilly in the room at night (but blankets were warm) and you can hear the traffic on the street outside very well.
- Michal (7/5): Good -
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and food was excellent. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The only thing I could advise was some towels that worked quite so scratchy.
- Adam (8/5): Very good - Second time. Would stay again.
Nice pub too!
- Syed (7/5): Good - The location is good, staff is amazing A bit noisy from the roadside.
And the sheets were not clean. I found few long (?female) hair over the sheet.
- Fady (8/5): Very good -
- Sophie (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (9/5): Great stay for the buck - The hosts and staff are very kind and forthcoming. Great food (we had fish and chips) and nice selection of drinks in the pub.
The room was quite nice with enough space and view on the backyard and the city which I quite enjoyed for reading. The facilities weren't great due to missing hair dryer, the water stream in the shower relatively weak and the bed lamps being quirky. Otherwise no complaints. I was mainly afraid of the noise from the pub but on the top floor we couldn't hear any in our room. The heating was more than capable of keeping up with the cold weather outside. And they even have free coffee with milk!
The location is really strategic as it's very easy to reach all the important city center places from the bus stop nearby.
- Ceri (8/5): Excellent basic lodgings - Stayed here several times, always a friendly place. Clean and comfortable. I'd give it 9/10 if there was a plug for the sink in the bathroom next to room 7
- Fady (8/5): Very good -
- Gioia (8/5): Very good -
- Peeters (8/5): As expected, good price/value - There was a parking space (but only from 4pm until 7.45am. Shared bathroom was good, could have been cleaned a bit better in the corners, nice staff I could not reach them by phone during the day
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Ceri (8/5): Very good -
- Mandee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oliver (7/5): Good -
- Lorentzson (10/5): Happy customer - they really helped me check in although I was exceptionally late!
- Mark (8/5): Great pizza - Great food in pub restaurant Dated room and bathroom. Doggy smells
- David (8/5): Nice people, clean and cosy. -
- Brett (9/5): Superb - Friendly service. Simple but clean room in very attractive pub.Very sweet dog!
- Ian (7/5): Good -
- Torrecampo (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alex (8/5): This was not the first time I stayed at The Grange. I will most likely be back next year. - Basically everything. All facilities (room, shared bathrooms & toilets) are were comfortable and clean (especially the toilets).
Generous supply of towels and toilet paper. The shared fridge on the landing of the top floor is an excellent extra. The behaviour of some residents (I do not know how many) with regards to other's privacy: when using a shared bathroom, it should be a reflex to lock the bathroom door. Some individuals may get a kick out of leaving the door unlocked so others walk in on them while they have a shower, a shave or ... whatever else one does in a bathroom. Not the nicest sight...
It may be worthwhile to put up a little note regarding the light in the top floor bathroom: some people do not know that a light switch can also be in the form of a string which needs to be pulled.
A plug for the bathtub in the big bathroom (first floor) would be nice.
- Torrecampo (8/5): Very good - the room light is a bit dark
- Mark (6/5): Nice pub, but room could be a lot better and in a poor location. - Pub was nice - good atmosphere, nice food and staff were friendly.
Bed was comfortable. Apart from no en-suite (which I knew), decor in room needs updating, it was cold, neighbours were very noisy one night and its a long way from any tube station.
- Russell (9/5): Great Value - Friendly staff, full facilities, clean, comfortable, great value for money and ideal location. Superb
- Paolo (7/5): Good -
- Marjorie (8/5): Comfortable room in great location - The room was small but cozy, the bed super comfortable. Even though it's over a pub, I never had any issues with noise -- didn't even hear anything. The location is great with lots of cafes, etc nearby.
- Ben (9/5): Great for a cheap night. - Clean and comfortable room. Friendly guy at check in. 5 minute walk to underground station. Guy with curly hair, accent and facial hair working at the bar is not friendly.
- Ian (7/5): Good - The staff were friendly and approachable, they answered any questions I had. Shared bathroom but the shower was lovely. Very clean and within a ten minute bus ride to Waterloo Station. I stayed in room 7, the radiator didn't work.
