- I. (8/5): - Overall, my stay was enjoyable. The front desk staff—especially the ladies who helped us—were incredibly accommodating and made sure we had two connecting rooms, which was a huge help for our group. After a day at the beach, we ran into some issues with the shower. The water pressure was low, and water was coming out of both the tub faucet and the showerhead simultaneously. The shower gel hadn’t been refilled, and the drain wasn’t working properly. I imagine being so close to the beach means they deal with a lot of sand and seaweed in the plumbing, so it’s understandable—but still worth noting. Breakfast was good, and despite the hiccups, it wasn’t a bad day at all. I appreciated the hospitality and wouldn’t mind staying again with a few maintenance tweaks.

- Ann (10/5): Have been coming here for over a decade. Fabulous - Was in town for a family funeral and Home2 suites took are of my sister and myself like we where family. They were so caring and wonderful the entire staff. The rooms are clean the am breakfast is good and has a variety of hot and cold foods. Good parking. Wawa right next door for gas and quick snacks it was just what we need. Close to good restaurants.

We loved the room that the hotel has full of beach stuff you can borrow like umbrellas, chairs, sifters, pails etc. the location was conveniently located near enough to downtown and beaches.

- Z4828BGnicolec (4/5): Dirty carpets, bed shams as sheets and construction, oh my! - The carpet in our room was sticky. Every time I got into the shower, the white tub was black from us walking on the filthy carpets. I had to make my older kid wear shoes until she was getting into bed, and refrain her from playing on the floor. It's not an easy ask for a 4-year-old. There was man's face hair in three of the drawers. Not just a little but an excessive amount. Our beds were made with bed skirts.(why?) We had no sheets or quilt. I specifically asked for a quiet room because I have a 10-month-old baby who we did not want to be disturbed because she sleeps through the morning. And yet banging in the room above me for 2 days doing construction starting at 8:00 a.m. woke her up. And the banging continued until we left at 11:00 each day. Who knows how long that went on. I asked the front desk if we could switch rooms because of the construction. They said no problem manager will be contacting you when she gets in in the next 30 minutes. Nothing ever came from this. The staff was friendly. But by far, this was the worst home2 Suites I've had the experience of staying in. We had to wait a full day to get a do not disturb door hanger because the hotel was out. The couches were completely stained. I took photos of a few things. After this experience, I'm not sure if I will book any more Hilton Hotels in the future.

The only constructive feedback would be to have real sausage available everyday. Sun and Mon were only vegan options and limited my options. - Kirsten (6/5): - The room was clean and most of the staff were friendly, which we appreciated. However, I do want to make a formal complaint about an incident at the pool involving a staff member named Sabrina. We had our dog, Dolly, with us—who we paid to have on the property—and we had asked for permission to be at the pool area with her. Later in the day, Sabrina came outside and immediately began yelling at us in a very condescending tone. She said things like “you’ve already checked out” and made rude comments about Dolly running around the pool patio, even though no one appeared to be bothered. Some women had briefly come out earlier, then returned inside before Sabrina showed up, so it’s likely a complaint was made. That’s understandable, but the situation could’ve been handled with more professionalism and respect. The interaction felt unnecessarily aggressive and left a bad impression after what had been an otherwise enjoyable stay. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as no guest should be treated that way—especially when following the property’s rules and being respectful.

- Ana Carolina Colombo de Brito (4/5): - I’ve stayed at Home2 Suites several times before and always had good experiences, but unfortunately this time was very disappointing. The pillow was terrible—tiny and extremely uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Also, breakfast is supposed to run until 9 AM, but by 8:30 there was barely anything left and no refills were made. To make matters worse, the hotel was full and there was only one waffle machine working, which created long lines and a frustrating experience. I had even recommended this hotel to friends who stayed with me—and I was embarrassed by the experience. Sadly, I won’t be recommending this hotel anymore. I really hope they take these concerns seriously.

The manager was suppose to call me, never did & I had to call her. She said she would call me back by the end of the day…never did! I will not stay here ever!
- Mauro (2/5): Review of Home2 Suites by Hilton Nokomis – Comfort - I recently stayed at Home2 Nokomis. While the hotel offers clean, spacious rooms and a convenient location close to Nokomis Beach, the breakfast service was a major disappointment. The biggest issue was the chaotic breakfast setup. There was no restocking of food or utensils, even though many guests were still trying to eat. To make matters worse, breakfast ends absurdly early at 9:00 AM, unlike most hotels of the same category that usually serve until 10:00 AM. This created unnecessary stress and frustration. The staff in charge of breakfast was inattentive and unhelpful, which only made the experience worse. On the positive side, the hotel has a great location, a pleasant and well-maintained pool area, and free, ample parking. These are definitely pluses. Overall, the hotel has potential, but it urgently needs to improve its breakfast operations—both in terms of logistics and service. Until then, I would not recommend it to guests who value a relaxed and properly managed morning meal.

- Tyra Dawn (10/5): - These hotels always seem clean and comfortable. Could of used another blanket on the bed but other than that super comfortable and clean.
- Eric (8/5): - This was our third stay at H2H, and when we got to our room, we could see the bed sheets were not changed. We went to front desk and handed new sheets because there was no room staff!, so we had to make our own bed after 12 hours of travel! Then the manager said because we booked through a third party, there was no way to compensate us! Last time we stay at H2H and use Expedia for reservations!

After a 3-hour drive, we arrived late at night only to be met by rude, indifferent, and completely incompetent front desk staff. They did not honor our reservation and had no rooms available. No apology, no solution, no effort to assist. We were forced to drive another 3 hours at 11:00 PM, putting our safety at risk. It’s unbelievable that a hotel chain would allow such negligence and lack of professionalism! I wouldn’t recommend Home2 Suites Venice, Florida even if it were free. Stay away if you expect decent service or basic respect!
- FranJ125 (10/5): What a time in Florida! - This was a perfect stay for the type of hotel it is supposed to be. No frills, no bells, no whistles. Clean, spacious rooms. Generous kitchenette area. Reasonable continental breakfast accommodations. Kind staff. Easy parking. The best park of the hotel though is it's a 4 minute quick drive to parking at Nokomis Beach. Also hotel parking lot is directly next to a Wawa and a 5 minute drive to Publix.

- Jeffery (10/5): Nokamis Spring Break - Stayed 5 nights. Very friendly staff and very clean. I was greeted often in passing and almost always saw someone who was keeping things tidy. Great breakfast with different options everyday. Only complaint I have is that the waffle batter always ran out and it never gets refilled. The kids love waffles. Pool was nice. Close to a few different beaches. Room was spacious with a kitchen. Beds were comfy. But toilet paper was very thin. I’ll say again, everyone showed great hospitality. From a clerk behind the desk to a cleaning person with a cart. If there was anything we needed they were happy to help. We would definitely stay here again.

- 92ellenm (6/5): Not like a Hilton of years ago. - I was surprised that a Hilton hotel would be so dirty. The floor mat at the check in desk was stained and was in dire need of vacuuming. Walking down the hall to the room, the carpeting was also in need of vacuuming. Upon entering the room, there were shreds of something on the floor. The sofa was stained with God knows what. Some type of liquid or food stains. I would not sit on the sofa. Inside the drawers hadn't been cleaned out. They needed to be vacuumed. Needless to say, I didn't put anything in the drawers. Shall I go on? The second I opened the door I was hit with a stench that smelled like either super bug spray or some other chemical. it filled the entire room. if it were earlier in the evening and had I been staying for more than one night, I would have asked to change rooms, but I was very tired. This smell really put a major damper on my mini vacation. When I got home, I noticed that all the clothes in my suitcase were infested with that odor. Everything had to be washed, including the unworn items. The hotel clerk who checked us in had no personality whatsoever. When a questioned was asked, like what room number was I assigned, she wouldn't tell me. She just slid the key over and said to look in the envelope, like some kind of game show. No one was nearby to listen in. She had an overall annoyed look on her face the entire time. On previous reviews, I saw that someone else commented on a smell in the room but I thought, what would be the chances of getting the same room. I guess the chances were good. On a good note, the beds were fairly comfortable and the pillows were soft. I must say though, for a Hilton property, I was quite disappointed.
- Cara (6/5): - The staff was friendly. The pool was clean and the pool bathroom was clean and well stocked at all times. I was disappointed that the jacuzzi was broken. Also there was a broken table on the side of the pool that made the area look unkept. The pool deck would look prettier with some greenery like tropical trees/plants. I liked the front patio and the lobby was spotless and smelled like vanilla cake. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The beds and pillows were comfortable but I think the comforters are too narrow for queen sized beds. I like that the room had a wall divider.

- FRANCOPHILEFROMIA (8/5): Mostly Good. Just a few things to know. - Common areas of the hotel were kept exceedingly clean--I appreciated this! The pool is nicely kept. The desk staff is pleasant And THANK YOU for not playing loud music at the pool. I only wish the every-other-day room cleaning would have been as thorough as it was on the first day of our stay. Each time, it got a little less thorough, and by the time we left, our room was feeling pretty gritty! I should also mention that the couch in the room was quite dingy--I think the furniture might need a refresh! (I would have sent this in a private email to you, but I could find no contact info for your hotel or for Hilton in general...). FYI: SUPER dog-friendly, so expect a lot of dogs. That can be a plus ... or not.

- Tamara (10/5): - Spacious rooms and nicely decorated for Christmas. Roomy and clean bathroom. Only thing negative is there is not great sound insulation so you hear ppl in the hall. There is a wall thermostat and a kitchen with dishwasher and full refrig so that’s nice. Parking is easy and free. Overall great because it is only a mile from the beach. Friendly staff!

- shaneoQ2300BQ (10/5): Front Desk Staff Top Notch - We stayed for a weekend at the Home2Suites Nakomis for our son's soccer tournament. I travel a great deal for work, and we stay in many hotels for soccer. I never write hotel reviews, but I wanted to commend the front desk staff at this hotel. They are truly kind and truly seem to care about the guests and each other. Most hotels are annoyed by sports teams staying there, but the staff welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family. It's hard to convey true kindess in a short written review like this. At first I thought it was just one staff member, but over the weekend I realized it was all of them. You can also tell they care about each other. Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay great!!!

She always greets us with a big smile, is friendly, kind, and professional. She goes out of her way to make our stay feel special. She knows we like extra pillows, rooms on the south side and Rice Krispie treats. For the past three years we have stayed with Amber while managing properties and renovating our home. We are now about to move into our home which is bitter sweet. We will especially miss Amber and Melissa. We hope to show them the same hospitality they gave us once we get settled. Thank you for your kindness over the years. You’re the best!

They made sure we were put in a room close to the our door doggie area, had doggie snacks, made sure all of including the puppy were comfortable. The front desk ladie was so wonderful, she even got on the floor and played with our fur baby. Breakfast was nice. Sandwiches fruit yoguart pastries oatmeal waffles. Such a good variety. We will definitely stay here again.
