• Aart (8/5): Prima plek om te overnachten - Geen stress en lekker schoon Was gewoon goed
• Johanna (3/5): - Ein Zimmer, das wir beziehen sollten, war nach Nutzung nicht gereinigt worden, war also benutzt. Personal war nur in Gestalt einer Person am Frühstücksbuffet und an der Kasse vorhanden. Raum war spartanisch eingerichtet und lag an einer großen Strassenkreuzung. Zeitweise sehr laut wegen Fernverkehrs. Trotzdem die mit Abstand teuerste Unterkunft unserer Kurzreise.
• Jozephine Frijters (7/5): - Ontvangst en service was heel fijn, voelde me welkom Nou, zou het niet perse tegen gevallen noemen. Wat ik een beetje jammer vond, was dat ik 2 keren wakker werd van wat personeel leden, die buiten nogal hard aan het praten en lachen waren. Dit was iets over 01.30 's nachts. Er was op deze avond een feest en ik vermoed dat jullie personeel leden net klaar waren met opruimen.
• Marieke (8/5): Heel geschikt voor 1 nacht als je in de buurt moet zijn! - Het personeel is allervriendelijkst. Het ontbijt was lekker uitgebreid, het bed helemaal goed. We vonden het diner in het restaurant niet helemaal aan te raden maar wel heel gezellig

• Can (8/5): Fantastisch - Wir sind sehr spät nachts angekommen und es hatte mit der Kreditkarte von mir nicht geklappt aber nach einem anruf hat uns das Hotel trotzdem ins Hotel gelassen und wir haben es am nächsten Tag geklärt und ich finde es gut das sie uns nicht draussen gelassen haben sondern besonders nett und freundlich sind! Ich liebe diesen Hotel und kann es nur weiter empfehlen

(8/5): Great place, good location, clean, good breakfast, charging spots for cars...... all good! - Perfect place, clean, solid instructions for self-check-in in the weekend, breakfast superb, very quite, charging spots for your EV car, lots of parking place, centrally positioned in Hoogezand (walking distance restaurants etc.) Nothing really, single bed could have been a tiny little bit bigger for a 2 meter sleeper, but.......(I slept well!)

• Dach (8/5): Gerne wieder - Hatte im Rückblick (leider)nur den Salat mit gewärmten Camembert . War einfach nur köstlich. Sehr gute Weinauswahl vom Chef und der Eiscafé zum Abschluss. Für mich ein gelungener Aufenthalt leider konnte ich nicht zum Frühstück bleiben. Man sieht sich immer zweimal.
• Eline Warmerdam (7/5): Gezellig familie hotel met persoonlijke service en heerlijk eten. - Goed diner, ook prima opties voor vegetarisch. Er kwamen ook veel mensen uit de buurt eten, waardoor het gezellig vol zat. Toen ik aankwam was er in eerste instantie niemand die me mijn kamersleutel kon geven, terwijl ik op mijn kamer een zoom meeting wilde hebben. Uiteindelijk belde de stagair met de baas en kwam het alnog goed. Daarna was er steeds voldoende personeel, dus het was een incidentje.

Omdat we ’s ochtends geen tijd hadden om te ontbijten, kregen we in de avond een ontbijtpakket mee. Wat een geweldige service – echt een aanrader!” Warmer & enthousiaster: “We had a short but wonderful stay! The staff were extremely friendly and polite. As we couldn’t join breakfast in the morning, they kindly prepared a breakfast package for us in the evening. What a great service – highly recommended!”

Early breakfast should be available for early checkouts. - The breakfast was good, standard variety of choices. it included cereals, yogurts, bread, ham, cheese, etc Breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays starts late at 8.30 am. We had an early checkout, so we left the room key outside the locked reception and could not have an early breakfast even though it was included in the room rate. No partial refund given.

• Janet (6/5): Disappointed - Our room was quite dark, we didn’t get much daylight from the window and the lighting was dim. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We couldn’t understand why we had a shoe shine kit, small soap and small shampoo but no shower gel? As a couple travelling light we had assumed there would be some supplied. A kettle was in the room with very small cups, suggest taking a couple of mugs with you if you need a nice size drink. Very limited choice and supply of drinks; no English breakfast tea, no decaffeinated coffee available, we appreciate we were in Holland but we thought these facilities would be standard. The only milk was two tiny café crème pots and our supply was not replenished for the second day so we couldn’t have a drink in the room. We had seen pictures of fried eggs and bacon on a website for the hotel but on the first morning there was a very small container with scrambled egg and a small supply of burnt greasy bacon, all of which was stone cold. The next morning we chose continental although I did venture a boiled egg from the container, which was undercooked … There are no lifts and the stairs are narrow and steep so if you suffer with mobility this hotel is not for you. Overall we had a good night’s sleep but did not feel we had value for money at £250 for a two nights stay.

The man on the reception reminded me to not forget my ear plugs (I was going to Rammstein concert and totally forgot about them), so thanks to him for saving my ears :D It would be better if there was a kettle and hair dryer in the room, but as I stayed only for a night that didn't cause any inconvenience

• John (10/5): Excellent local hotel with superb dining. - We stayed at Hotel Faber for a weekend mid-September. Frank and Ronald, the owners, went well out of their way to make our stay memorable. They helped us with local transport, were careful to ask what we wanted for breakfast, offered lots of local advice and told us the history of the hotel, which has been in their family for over a century. We couldn't fault their hospitality, and can't be more complimentary about the food served at the hotel. Our dinner there was superb, really superb, making it a highlight of our trip. The weather, but that is hardly the hotel's fault!

• Birger (8/5): Sehr nettes Kleinstadthotel, absolut zu empfehlen! - Unkomlizierter Check-In durch sehr freundlichen Betreiber, Zimmer war sehr sauber, Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Einziges Manko war, dass die Zimmer recht hellhörig sind: Sowohl zum Nachbarzimmer, als auch zur Straße, die am Samstagabend stark von Autoposern frequentiert wurde. Aber alles in allem wirklich zu empfehlen!

• David (8/5): - So glad that my colleague and I chose this hotel to stay at for our 2 week business trip to Groningen. The staff was amazing ... they did my laundry when I asked about a laundromat! The rooms were small but that is to be expected ... they were comfortable as long as the weather cooperated. We had one hot day and there is no AC in the room ... That was the only issue. The hotel has a restaurant within and it was AMAZING! This hotel is highly recommended!
