- Bernal Arenas (1/5): Nightmare - I didn't!! We didn't like it at all ,pictures on site are misleading. No lamps, no clocks, Nats, and mosquitoes in the room. Very noisy, the room next to us thier kids knocking on are door, had several people coming and going knocking loudly. Room above us person walking to door to restroom over and over again,we could hear every step till about 1a. My husband called the front desk, but nothing was done.. My husband and I will never book there again
- Sharon (8/5): - n/a
- James (7/5): Good place for the cost. - Clean room and no sound. Lack of soap to wash up with and lack of toilet paper
- Jon (9/5): I liked it; I'd stay there again. I suggest they add a lamp or two. - Cleanliness, price, spaciousness. Not a single lamp.

- Ahron (10/5): - Cheap decent room, lots of space
- Debbie (6/5): - Air conditioner not working too hot had to buy a fan

- Charlie (8/5): -
- Jesus (8/5): - Property is as advertised and staff is fast and efficient
- alice (6/5): - i have stayed several times through out the years. It is very clean and quiet most times. What i can’t get passed is and why i have gone to other hotels to stay is 1. The bed is hard 2. it smells musky/ mildew like there had been multiple water damages at this property. Fresh paint and Killz will only do so much to cover up damage. But because it’s affordable and we only need it to sleep and shower, it will do.
- Dawn (10/5): - July 4th. Great rates. Fun decor. Clean room
- Clemente (7/5): Good -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melody (8/5): - This location is very close to our family that we come to visit each year. They have don’t remodeling inside the rooms and it is very nice improvements.
- Leila (10/5): Good price, clean, well maintained - Good price. Clean and well maintained.
- Belinda (10/5): - Looks like all tooms are newly renovated. May not be the newest property but the room was clean and have microwave a good size refrigerador. Had a good nights rest on their beds. Had a decent size pool. Staffwas nice and helpful.
- Ila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jackson (6/5): Nice smell, comfy bed, clean except for the cockroaches. - Did not have breakfast. Cockroaches.
- Jesus (10/5): - When we showed up the front desk lady was very nice, and informative. The rooms were always super clean. The only down side was that the beds were on the uncomfortable side. But I’d still stay there again. Perfect location to get to everything, pool clean(no hot tub), and nice people around
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Carbon122 (8/5): Very good -
- Yolanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (3/5): dirty - the check in was super easy super dirty bed and bathroom. the pillows had hair and make up from a previous guest.
- Ricardo (9/5): Good for short stay - Location, value per price, friendly staff Bed was not super comfortable
- Diana (10/5): - It is really nice and very spacious very clean I will definitely stay there again
- Andy (1/5): Bad -
- Roger (8/5): Very good -
- Samuel (1/5): My stay was extremely short. I felt so unsafe so I decided to leave a rent a room at hotel across exp. This was a waste - Nothing. Employees are so rude and disrespectful. I’ve never been treated so horribly at a hotel,at a window where you can’t hear anything employees say because they’re yelling from other side of office inside. They charge a fee for anything and treat you like if you’re about to stay there for sketchy transactions. Rooms felt and looked dirty. Cheap toiletries were provided all from different brands. Furniture was all ruined and difficult to open and close.
- Bernardo (10/5): Exceptional - Easy to book
- Elena (8/5): - Centrally located to shopping and restaurants. Only issue don’t like speaking through a window where you can’t see who your dealing with face to face. It is not a drive-thru restaurant. Lobby should be open.
- Lucero (10/5): Exceptional -
- LOURDES (8/5): - There are safety concerns, the reception is locked, they attend through a window with a speaker. I had no issues, the rooms are not modern but they are big, have all the appliances that work, and they are clean. For the price is good and location very convenient. You can park right in front of your room.
- JOSEPH (8/5): - The lobby was getting worked on and i wasnt able to enjoy that, but the staff was always friendly and helpful. The AC worked great, the bed wasnt bad at all and ive experienced way more expensive places with uncomfortable beds.
- Deborah (2/5): - This is an old property that is currently being remodeled it is very basic and currently the lobby is not open. I felt that it was safe but for what it was actually offering it was overpriced ..also there was no coffee maker in the very dimly lit room... there was a good refrigerator, a small microwave, and an enormous tv.
The vinyl floor was clean and the bed was clean and firm. The shower was good.
- Elva (6/5): - No lobby checked in thru window no staff to greet otherwise clean, quiet
- Amanda (10/5): - Check in was super easy, room was spacious, kind of sucks not being at to go inside to check in but the staff is friendly
- Adam (8/5): - This is an older property that is taken care of that provides very large, clean rooms. The property and pool is a treat. Great value and recommended.
- Griselda (10/5): my husband and I loved it thank you so much - it’s was quiet and place was clean the rooms changed a lot we had stayed before like 3 or 4 years ago! very nice place closer to home what I didn’t like was that we couldn’t log into Hulu or Netflix on tv but I supposed the channels where ok!
only if it’s a Roku tv anyone can add their app account to watch movies from their account but otherwise still good
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -

- Sara (10/5): Exceptional - The swimming pool is beautiful
- Randy (9/5): Superb -
- Jackie (5/5): if you like to stay in an over priced crappy place, this is for you. - nothing to start off with sign on front door says lobby closed for remodeling. I can see inside and there is just a bunch of junk piled up. had to sign in through a stupid window, couldn’t hear the lady through that. asked about breakfast, we don’t do that anymore, but said when I booked breakfast included WRONG. so asked about coffee in the morning, we don’t have that anymore. got to room, OLD OLD furniture not a single thing on the walls and the bed is like a foot off the floor and HARD AS A TABLE TOP. Then to top it off no COFFEE POT in room. what a crappy place. And besides all this the room was 93.00 way way way WAY OVER PRICED.
- Darrell (2/5): - Roaches came falling out of the bed as soon as we walked in the door. Then came across the night stand. Couldn’t stay there. Terrible for the price that we paid.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (4/5): Stayed twice. The first and last time. And I travel to Harlingen quite often. - Location was the only positive. There wasn't even coffee available on the property . Staff/owner? was less than cordial.
- charles (10/5): - Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Would stay there again.
- Judith (10/5): Really nice. Will go there again. - Just remodeled in our room Lobby closed.
- Leon (1/5): checked out the same day due to stinky room -
- Ramon (4/5): - Amenities were non existent, terrible service; will not recommend.
- Raymond (8/5): - Everything was going great in my 3 day stay until we saw bugs. I know it’s Texas and there’s going to be lots of insects but maybe properly seal all areas. I can see light coming around the door and those are good spots for bugs. Other than that everything was great.
- Scott (4/5): - The check in was VERY impersonal....couldnt hear or even SEE the person we delt with. No coffee available.
- Jose (10/5): - Great room to stay
- Sheila (4/5): - Lobby not open COVID? Had to check in through the window outside. Hard to communicate
- Brenda (10/5): - Had to spend a couple of nights here due to moving and was very glad we chose Texas Inn. The room was large with fridge, microwave, tv. Thick walls so very quiet. Best motel I have stayed in ever!
- Laura (6/5): No early check-ins here - We travel all over, and pretty much every spring and fall. Never had been asked to pay money to check in early. We have checked into places as much as 2 hours early, and never been asked to pay a early check in fee. We sat in the parking lot for an hour and half. Otherwise it was clean.
- Nancy (8/5): - Because of Covid, the lobby wasn’t open and there was no coffee pot in room. Our room was quite clean and very spacious. We will definitely stay there again.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Property Looked Clean, Did not like the fact that you could not see desk clerk through night/day window or the fact that you could not get in the lobby at any time, not a lot of amenities, but stay was ok for price.
- cynthiaflores1973 (2/5): - The person who received me in the morning, got to check how many people were entering the room and repeated many times that only 2 people in each room and if he realized that there were more, he would charge and being a room with 2 beds. Dirty rooms, dirty facilities. I never stay in that hotel again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay stay but could have been better - No breakfast, lobby closed for renovation. Walked barefoot on tile floors in room, feet turned black. Tub had residue from cleaning agent. A lot of foot and vehicle traffic and noise. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Internet was great, cable more intermittent.
- Verified traveler (4/5): En remodelación - El hotel está en remodelación. No hay recepción, no hay desayunos y el servicio es limitado.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a good experience and it was clean. The bed made so much noise with just a turn that I made and only my side of the bed. You need to get new pillows the ones there are so bulky it’s seems like there r rocks in there and they hurt the head.
- Debra (10/5): - I was very comfortable slept well
- Dale (6/5): Not a bad place to starve to death. - I was disappointed by the fact that they did not have
any breakfast, because of COVID when all restaurants
in Texas are not operating at 100% capacity.
There is nowhere in walking distance to get breakfast,
and I did not have a car, since the salespeople dropped
me off and picked me up.
The could have at least had some "grab and go" stuff,
but I think that they were just using COVID as an excuse.
At night there are a couple of places to eat across the
freeway. One has horrible Mexican food and one has
barbecue.
The second night we stopped and got food to take to the room and some bananas for breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean room an easy parking an friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly patience staff, affordable prices, conveniently located, entire property was well maintained & clean, always fresh linens. Thank you all.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Creepy crawlers - I ended up checking out within hours of our 5 day stay when I saw that there was 2 cockroaches and one spider cohabitating in our room. The pool was closed and so was the continental breakfast which was part of tbe reason we wanted to stay there but wasn't disclosed on the site. The staff was nice and friendly though, however, in the end we opted to pay a bit more for a room that didn't have bugs.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Not allowed to use pool and no breakfast as advertised
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This place is a bit of a funky sleeper. To check in you talk through a closed and screened window. The parking lot is filled with huge (mostly diesel) construction worker pickups...but the rooms are big and VERY clean and the beds are comfortable. It looks like many of the guys there are long-term residents and they are friendly and cool. Well...except for the guy who warmed up his diesel at 5 AM...for 15 MINUTES!!
All in all, yes I would recommend it to a friend but with caveats.
- Rosalinda (8/5): - It was nice and quite we only slept there because we were with family during the day but over all it was clean we didn’t have trouble finding a parking spot
- DAVID K (10/5): More Than Expected - Texas Inn Harlingen provided more than I was expecting for the price --- large, clean room with sofa, large, comfortable bed, shower with tub, big screen TV, fridge and microwave oven, and more.
- Michelle (8/5): Overall good. - Overall, a good stay. Clean room, decent bed. Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Only a few small not so great things: some flat and flimsy pillows, a fair amount of freeway traffic noise, and not notified beforehand that free breakfast service was completely suspended because of covid-19. That would have been helpful to know. Bring bottled water.
- Victor (8/5): Harlingen TX - Nice staff, clean room, close to Harligen Airport
- Tammie (6/5): Texas Inn Harlingen - The bed was greasy as I had an extremely comfortable sleep, the rooms need to be updated as carpet is frayed and chair had holes in it. Cleanliness needed attention there was a big hair ball on the floor when I walked in and in the AM when I turned on the lights there were roaches on the desk and dresser.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The towels to wash your hands were dirty and I was so tired that I didn’t say anything and the shower Needs bleach to clean it. the front desk personal was friendly.
- Ashley (2/5): - The room was very hot and stuffy, the beds were horrible, as were the pillows, the room stunk! And the pool wasn’t open. Will not ever be staying there again
- DoubleTa85 (10/5): - Nice, clean room. Comfy beds. I would stay there again...
- Danielle (8/5): - Good hotel. Nice and clean.
- rose (10/5): - Excelente service,I will like to go back again because excelente costomer service, exelent employee’s
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was good for the event we came to town for. The room was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Older property but very clean. Breakfast choice very limited.
- Frnk (8/5): - Liked it Clean and staff very helpful, didn’t like decorations
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pleasant stay. Very quiet and relaxing. Will stay there again in the future
- Michael (6/5): Check out before you book. - The location is bad it is not easy to get to unless you are familiar with the area. There are no restaurants or fast food close to the inn. The advertisement show a hot tub and it has been removed. The room has no Kleenex.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No tv signal.
Cable was out for 3 days of my stay.
- DenisseA (10/5): - Good basic room. Very clean ,needs some renovation but is good for the price and great location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean sheets, clean towels, AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO ROACHES like others I’ve stayed at
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bed a really firm.. but other than that... everything was good.
