Guest Reviews
- Daniel (10/5): - Clean room; always kept me informed
- Leonardo (10/5): - Nothing to add. Everything was perfect
- RAUL (8/5): Clean and cozy studio. - The room is as pictured, very clean. there is a bus that serves the area. a bit further from central zurich but there are a few resto and bars near the unit. wish there were more plates, cutlery and utensils for people like us who loves eating in and cooking.
internet was fast. beddings are good. quiet area.
would recommend if you do not need to be going in and out of your unit to go around town, we prefer to have a kitchen even if this is not centrally located.
One great thing - entry is done by code so no need to worry about looking or losing keys.
water pressure is good for the bath. bath amenities are good.
very limited closet.
provided olive oil and coffee and teas and sugar but no salt and pepper.
bus stop is a about 200 meters away. ok to take luggages on the bus.
- Madelyn (8/5): - Room okey , but TV never work on us, we stay there for 3 nights... also hair dryer was not working..overall it's okay.
- Tarja (10/5): - Vaivaton sisääkirjautuminen ilman lähikontaktia
- Maricela (4/5): - Hotel was okay for the price. The A/C does NOT work and it was extremely uncomfortable and hot the entire stay. They say the room is automatically set at a temperature and they give you a portable fan if it gets too warm but the room was probably about 85 degrees even at night with the fan blowing. Area is also not the best. There was also a sewer smell coming from the bathroom that was very off putting. Might as well spend a little more money and get something a little nicer, would not stay again if I came back.
- Erick (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- Chloe (10/5): - The stay was exactly what we needed to explore Zurich. Although it’s small, the rooms had everything we needed and the kitchenette is a real bonus in an expensive city!
- Oscar (10/5): - Great simple solution through a travelers guide
- Jocelyn (8/5): J’y reviendrais - Excellent séjour, mais environnement bruyant.
- poppy (10/5): - Great amenities, had everything we needed and more !
- Huw (6/5): - Enjoyed my stay at Numa Zürich. Although we arrived and the WiFi wasn’t working it was quickly resolved. The TV didn’t work for the duration of our stay. The area around the property isn’t the best but didn’t cause us any issues.
We unfortunately were woken up one morning to construction in the building (the unit below I am assuming) a lot of drilling, hanging and shouting before 9am. That was far from ideal.
- Ivana (6/5): Just OK - The apartment was great when it comes to cleanliness and design. We stayed at the medium sized apartment with kitchenette and one small and one larger balcony.
We were able to cook our own food. Pots, pans and utensils were provided. Grocery stores were around the corner. There was olive oil, salt and pepper. There was a small fridge and a microwave oven.
The apartment is located at the end of a long street. There are two bars at the opposite corners of that street and they are loud. Out of 5 nights, we had to close the windows on 3 of them. It’s a very noisy part of the city.
The weather was super hot. Unusually hot for ZRH or so we heard. There is no air conditioning at all so once you close the windows, its hot inside.
I definitely think they should provide some portable AC for moments like this.
The other downside is that the wi-fi was non existent. Barely there We actually came to unplug from work so in a way it was nice. We also were not entirely disconnected as we have a mobile provided that w most of Europe. But given this is SUI and everything works wirelessly, this was another downside.
They do provide you with a phone number you can call to complain or you can chat with the live person but we had a full schedule, so we did not complain.
Overall not super impressed but was OK.
- Aisling (6/5): No AC - way too hot - It’s a very nice place and communication is good and responsive, but the AC situation is insane. It was a very hot weekend with the weather above 30 degrees, and there is no way to control the AC or really any AC to speak of at all. It was unbearably hot and very difficult to sleep, they did provide a fan upon request but still it wasn’t enough. Overall this really affected my enjoyment of my stay.
- Madison (8/5): - The property itself was quiet and clean. The area around the property is noisy but Numa did provide us with earplugs for the noise which was nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): No frills Apartment w Kitchen build in - This is a no frills apartment which located at the far end edge of Zurich HBf, a 13min walk from Numa. Check in was a breeze even though there is no on-site reception, everything is self service but the message via watapps + email were very clear.
Build in kitchenette was great, as it allow us to prepare simple breakfast & lunches.
Our assigned room was facing the pubs & bars, lots of activities thru past midnight (except on Sunday - supposed to be test day for the Swiss), nevertheless the sound proof was done to almost perfection when the window was shut. Overall, we satisfied with the cost performance of Numa Turi, Zürich
- susanne (10/5): - Noget lille køkkenfacilitet, men helt i orden
- Allison (8/5): - Nice and convenient
- Lucy (10/5): - Excellent place to stay. Close to station, bar and restaurants. Well kitted out. Bed very comfy and just overall excellent. No complaints.
- Neil (8/5): - Lots of bars that were noisy and stayed open very late.
- dianne (8/5): - The apartment is in an are with a lot of restaurants and bars so it was quite noisy in the evenings and into the early morning .
- Laura (10/5): Perfect place! - We had a lovely stay!
- Michelle (10/5): - Great location
The hotel had everything including a small bottle of olive oil for cooking… i thought that was awesome
Comfortable, cosy, quiet
- Sarah (10/5): Great option. - Great option.
Easy to reach on public transport. Spacious and has everything you could want.
- Piero (8/5): - Comfortable flat easy to get to from the city centre. Very convenient to have a fridge, microwave, hairdryer, cooker. The only thing that didn't work was the TV
- Nikoleta (10/5): - Nice, clean, comfortable bed, desk, kitchenette, clean shower, floor heating, spacious and welcoming. Good breakfast.
- Nozawa (10/5): - Clean and comfortable.
- Emily (10/5): - Very easy to check-in and very close to transportation options.
- Desmond (6/5): - A lot of ants in the room
- Rosanna (10/5): - We arrived early & they gave us a room sooner which is a plus! They have towels, towel papers, & essentials items in their laundry room, which we don't need a housekeeper keeps coming in & out, especially to those who can keep the room keep & didn’t want to be bothered. This hotel is about 15-20 min walk away from the Zurich HB or you can choose to walk 2 min to the bus stop & get off at Zurich HB. This hotel has everything we need & it’s perfect for our 5 days in Zurich! I highly recommended this hotel.
- Takeshi (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, enough space for one and reasonable price.
- Takeshi (10/5): - Clean and enough space for one with breakfast.
- Shelley (8/5): - Reasonable walk from the station, close to many bars. Main complaint is centralised temperature which was too warm for us in Mid September and had to keep fan on and window open...which we couldn't to sleep as there is a bar across the road
Overall solid choice with cooktop and appropriate cooking appliancesaking it easy to prepare a few meals ourselves which was helpful given Swiss cost of living
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Within 15 minutes walk to Zurich HB. With many dining options nearby.
Flexible check in and out.
With a small kitchen which offers an option to cook for saving money.
- LUIS (6/5): - The light in the bathroom wasn’t working, I reported it after check in and they didn’t bother to fix it nor offer any other solutions.
- Kira (10/5): - Clean, modern property with a comfortable bed, nice body products and lovely balconies in a trendy area of Zurich. We found it very walkable for our 2 night stay exploring the city before journeying to other areas in Switzerland. Digital, contactless check-in and check-out was seamless. Would not recommend this property to folks who aren’t tech savvy. Make sure to download WhatsApp to communicate with the host company.
- Jordan (8/5): - We loved how close it was to
Everything and how easy transport from
Here was. We did not enjoy how hot our room was at night and if we had the window open it would fill our room with the smell of
Cigarettes. It's on a Main Street so lots of cars. And the toilet was hard to get to.
- david (10/5): - Centrally located close to station
- Robert (8/5): - Very nice apartmet all in all, clean and spacious. The central heating was a bit annoying as it was set on warm, and so we had to ooen the windows (the fan procided didnt do much).
- Claudia (8/5): - This place was a good option for me at a reasonable price. It was located at a convenient walking distance to dining and the public transport system. The room was clean. When things broke, they quickly took care of it. While it was not a concernt, safety could be improved a bit more within the building.
- Cynthia (8/5): - The hotel was easy to find, with a bus stop just down the block. The room was a little small for two people, but we made it work. Definitely a great room for one person. Also very clean - it had the amenities of a small kitchen as well. The front desk was amazing! The woman working (who's name I have rudely forgotten) and the man who I believe was the chef, helped me greatly with deciding on what to do that night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice, had some issues. - My room was great, once I was actually able to get into it. I got into town after midnight, meaning that their check in desk was closed. I knew this beforehand and called ahead, and I was assured that there was an outdoor check in box that I could use with a code from my invoice. The desk employee sent me the invoice and I thought that I was set. Unfortunately no combination of numbers from my invoice worked, and when I called the hotel's phone number I got someone that spoke no english. I ended up having to sleep on the floor of a friend's hotel room. I came back in the morning when they opened, and I was shown a number that was nowhere on my invoice, and I couldn't get an explanation of where it came from. Once I was in, the room was great. It was very clean and comfortable. There is a lot of night life in that section of the city, so be aware of that. Also just verify that you have the correct code if you're checking in after hours.
- Ruhollah (8/5): - Bon accueil souriant
- Hsu Chung (6/5): -
- Corey (4/5): I'm sure there are better places to stay in Zurich - No air conditioning in the room. Had a fan that was super loud. Little parking in that area and reception didn't seem to know a lot about how parking worked in Zurich. Around corner from the old red light district. I'm sure better places to stay in Zurich
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay. Room had full kitchen and every utensils you can think of and clean. Nice quit environment and not too far away from train station.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not so good... - Area surrounding hotel is quite loud, apartment had bed bugs/dirty sheets, staff were good moving us to a different apartment after complaining about having bites from the bugs... wouldn't book again.
- Maria (10/5): - Everything was great. Clean and nice owners.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel claims to be well designed and that is true. The place was really confortable and the spaces enjoyable. The attention was kind and respectfull.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I woke to find bed bugs all over my bed. Lobby is closed and I’m trapped here all night it’s 3am
- Hanif (10/5): Great deal - Value for money! Very clean and cosy and quiet hotel!
- Xu (8/5): Good stay - Convenient place, close to food and transportations. Good stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): - First gave me 5th floor room, no heat. So cold. Asked 3 times for check, waited 2 hours, no fix. Asked change room, wait other one hour. 10:30pm just got room.
- Jules (6/5): - It was OK. Very basic and just ok. If you need a quick place to catch an overnight flight and don’t want frills, this is it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, modern. Friendly staff. A little bit of a walk from the train station. Good value.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Make sure your room is bug free - Staff was polite. Room was stylish. Bedbugs ruined it all. Found the bedbugs at 3am. No staff on duty at time. Packed my stuff and slept at train station. Went back in morning to complain. Staff acted shocked to learn of bedbugs. But so many... I can’t believe bedbugs are recent. They let me sleep a few hours in another room and offered me a *partial* refund. Took it and left for nearest laundry mat.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Short leisure stay - It was nice comfortable stay, good value for money
- Dali (6/5): - The service is good, but location is not good. Too noisy during the late night. Can’t sleep well.
- Mihir (6/5): Zurich - They were not helpful
- OboeScott (6/5): Hot Room in Rough Loud Area - This hotel is very basic. At check in they had trouble finding out reservation. The place is clean and modern but in a very rough loud area. Our stay was in July and it was hot - there is no air conditioning and no fans were provided. There are several loud bars close by and .... the sound comes in the room. Also there is no breakfast provided or available.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location to rail station - Good value, lack of air conditioning negative factor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great accommodations and location to be able to walk to the train Station and the tour sign ups. The personnel was kind and supportive. The facility was excellent and efficient for our stay. Do not hesitate to book. The price if right!!
Thanks IQ130.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Hotel and friendly staff - Room was lovely and the bathroom had underfloor heating which was nice on a tiled floor
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great staff, cozy room, area is full of nightlife - Amazing staff with great hospitality. They were welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself is nice and comfortable, it is next to an area with lots of bars so people are out late.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed one night before going to Basel. The hotel itself is good. Rooms are very small but clean. The hotel staff were very helpful with directions to trams and things to see. The area is quite shady and loud at night. Easy access to central Zurich.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel for a night - Very modern room with efficient use of small space. Big windows let in lots of light. The view onto the street and cafe next door is a bit shabby. It was convenient (5min bus ride) to the train station.
- Olga (8/5): The pros and cons of my stay at iQ130 hotel - Blue studio, 4 nights in Aug-Sep'17:
+ a bright, spacious, clean and comfortable studio
+ reception staff available practically 24/7
+ approximately 15 min walking or 4 bus stops to main train station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof)
- reservation changes are done only 8-10am Swiss time and it takes on average 3-4 days to get a response by email
- neighborhood is somewhat noisy and appears to be Zurich's "red light district"
- Verified traveler (4/5): beware a bit... - Hotel is fine. It was a warm day, no air-conditioning, if you leave windows open, there is lot of noise from nearby drinking holes. The local area is quite run-down and shady. Okay for singles but not family/couples. The lady in the hotel bar will try to sell you costly drinks, so beware.
- Milo (4/5): Bad part of Zurich. - Police were in our area 3 times during our stay to remove drunks and prostitutes. Room was a corner room with large windows. Drapes had to be closed at all times since the room was a "fish bowl".
Mgmt responded to our request for a fan since there was no a/c an room was very stuffy.
Surprise was that there was a mini kitchen where you could actually cook a meal which we should have done. We walked to a dinner cafe and ended up spending $130 US for a rather basic meal.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great staff and nice rooms - The owners went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, the hotel is about a 15 min walk from the center of downtown Zurich. The rooms were very modern and nice. The part of town isn't the nicest part of Zurich, but not bad either. We never felt uncomfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
- fran (2/5): Noisy and hot - Located in the cedy red light district. Room was clean and modern, however a lack of aircon or even a fan meant hot sleepless nights. The large windows had to stay open at night to allow air but that resulted in loud noise all night. Older men hovered at the tables at the hotel entrance smoking cigars and being entertained by asian girls....a very unpleasant sight everyday.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overall good but no air conditioning - Did not realize that there is no air conditioning. Was there in August and it was very hot. Gave us a fan but not very helpful. Also bed is very low but comfortable. Overall good experience.
- jay (6/5): Nice location. Lose to everything - The hotel was not clean they need to clean the corners of the room
- adi (6/5): - According to them, there for no reservation confirmed. Luckily they had a room for us, we had to change rooms for second night.. because they were over booked . The room had no air conditioner .. it was hot.
- Naeema (8/5): Good hotel, would stay again. - Amenities were good, staff manager very helpful. Area a bit dicey, lot of police presence on and off, due to vagrants, but safe.
- Sanjive (8/5): The Hotel and Surroundings - The Hotel had all the amenities and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Location, from the point of view of commuting to Zurich Downtown is good. You can walk to downtown or use Public Transport. The only negative about the location of the hotel is that just one block away there were "Girls for Money", irrespective of the time of the day.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room itself was clean and decent, but the hotel was located in a seedy part of town. Lots of yelling outside all night long until the police finally showed up early in the morning.
- Simon (8/5): Good room - Overall great room in a good location. Near a few bars though so can be a bit louder in the evenings than first thought. Although, we had the window open as it was hot.
- Zhan (8/5): Very nice studio - The hotel was well managed. Thanks to the kind staff, we checked in 3 hours earlier and was able to have a rest after the long journey. The room was clean and comfortable equipped with everything necessary. There are many good restaurants nearby including a Japanese and a Thai restaurant. If you want to cook, there's a convenient store on the back street. The only disadvantage is beyond the hotel management: the noise outside and the strip club on the other end of the street.
- Katie (6/5): Noisy and hot. - My boyfriend and I picked this hotel based on price, and didn't know much about the neighborhood. It was noisy and a bit rough around the edges. The room didn't have air conditioning, so we had to leave our windows open. This was not ideal, as there was a loud beer garden across the street, and lots of street noise. We ended up checking out early and booking a nicer hotel for our last night in Zurich. I would only recommend this hotel to those interested in night life in the area, as it was about 1 mile from the train station and central Zurich, so it wasn't convenient for doing tourist activities.
- Imi (8/5): Nice hotel on bad location - Our apartment was nice and clean but location is not good at all. Specially if you are planing to stay with family then this is not a place where you want to stay with your family.
Too noisey on weekends and too many pubs and clubs around this area.
- Rags (8/5): Great location - Was a lovely large room with a beautiful view. The location was superb, about a kilometer from the Flixbus station and the railway station with connecting buses going from right in front of the hotel.
It is located in the entertainment district, so the choices of places to eat were many
- William (8/5): Modern clean rooms without the Zurich mark-up - This hotel was a nice find in a difficult place for hotels. Zurich is a pricey place to stay so you have to sacrifice to find anything affordable. At the IQ you sacrifice a little on the location but gain it all back in an affordable modern clean room managed by a very accomodating staff. I highly recommend the hotel if you can embrace the local character of the neighborhood. Cheers!
- Gregory (10/5): Great Zurich Hotel - Great location
- Jim (10/5): Stay here. - What a lovely place! We had room 501 which had 2 lanais and a small kitchen, which came in very handy with a local Coop only 2 blocks away. The hotel has a bar on the very bottom floor, lovely and moderately priced restaurants around, and is only a 10-156 minute walk from the train station. Wifi was great, neighborhood was quiet and safe if a bit on the worn side, and I would stay here again--hands down!!
