Xin (9/5): 很好的一次体验 - 房间有点偏小、装修有点偏旧
Alan (8/5): Great hotel - The room decoration was fantastic. The lobby and facilities were great. The breakfast was good value and had a wide variety of food. Chinese people seem to still smoke a lot so ask for a non smoking room! The gym area was large and much appreciated. The lobby was on the 55th floor and was a bit of a pain to return to everytime if you wanted to go down to the ground floor. The large window in the bathroom which had a curtain, if you had to use the bathroom at night time it was impossible to not disturb your partner when you turned the light on! The room was really cold. You couldn't do anything to change the air con. It was the coldest hotel we stayed in. They did offer a seperate electric heater which can fix this. However the bathroom had underfloor heating which was nice. There was a poorly designed shelf in the room above the kettle area which my wife hit her head on twice. It must be a problem because there's a big sticker on there saying watch your head!

Christine (6/5): Overpriced and disappointing - Staff was really nice, they handled our complaints with so much kindness and professionalism, they made the place. location is central. You cannot go straight to your room from the entrance. You have to go to the lobby in 55th floor then take another elevator down. Extremely annoying and time consuming. The beds are horrible. Very hard but with no support in the center so you end up sleeping V-shaped! We cut our reservation short cause our backs were killing us, we actually had to sleep sideways in our king bed to get any sleep at sll. This hotel is wss as y overpriced for what it offers, it’s just a place to show off. We moved to Kempinski

The hotel is clean and modern with good amenities and conveniently located on top of a large shopping mall and at a location where it is quite easy to get a taxi. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would have given the place a higher rating except that I had prearranged to pay for our stay in local currency. Instead the hotel charged our stay to our credit card used for deposit at the time of check-in, causing some confusion.

Verified traveler (8/5): - It is not a place that easy to get a taxi, I asked the staff to help me call taxi. They are so nice and enthusiastic. Everything is not bad but the most disappointing me is that the pillows are smelly. I wonder the staffs did not change the pillows after the last customers have used them or the pillowcase was not dried enough by the clothes dryer.

F (8/5): - Stayed three days in club suite room. Good: New hotel opened early 2017, with technology like motorized curtain, bidet and central control with ipad. Hotel starts from 40th (?) floor, so good view. Business lounge on 53rd floor serves beverages and deserts all day long, Ms. Peng (Pen?) Yi and Tian Jing was super nice and kept my kid entertained. Take-out breakfast can be prepared if you leave before breakfast starts. Staff in general is professional and helpful. Improve: Pool was closed at the time, business lounge manager Ms. Peng (Pen?) Yi offered my family to use the pool in nearby Sheraton, we appreciated that. A/C can't keep the room cool, regardless what temp was set. It wasn't an issue in the beginning of my stay, but the last day was terrible enough that I have to complaint. It wasn't addressed before I left. I can't find a wall clock anywhere in my club room! Shower head is angled toward the door, so lots of water was leaked outside. Adjusting angle is not easy as hose is stiff. In general, it is a pretty good hotel and I would consider to stay there next time.

The hotel is gorgeous and the service is amazing! I will be back. We were in Guiyang for a birth paren search and the staff at Sofitel really went out of their way. They even got a cake for my daughter's birthday.
