Guest Reviews

- Laura (4/5): - Unfortunately, you get exactly what you'd expect for $20 per night. It's incredible noisy, you hear every car that goes by, every person in the hallway, and every time the hotel doorbell rings at 2am. It's also not a very nice neighborhood, I'd suggest booking closer to the historic centre. The "continental breakfast" was literally a piece of bread with jam and a cup of tea. And the ad is completely wrong - there's no safe, no heating/cooling, and no towels or toiletries unless you ask. Staff were friendly and they did "clean" the room during the day but I still found hairs in the bathroom that weren't mine. It was just fine.
- David (10/5): - Great little hotel for the price. The staff were all lovely and helpful, they let us check-in very early on short notice and held our bags on the last day to let us explore Cusco one last day before our bus. The location is quite a ways out of the historic centre but there is a great local market with a lot of dining options nearby.
- Arthur (10/5): Exceptional -
- Piotr (8/5): Nothing to complain about - Very helpful staff, clean room, although small. Location close to the airport. Lady host let us leave our bags for two or so days (we booked two nights but not in a row)
- Erika (6/5): - This hotel is has a clean and safe space to spend the nigh. Further from the “plaza the armas”which is the main plaza where most tours take off and drop you off. However it’s very inexpensive at $20 a night. It’s maybe maybe 25 minutes by taxi from Plaza de Armas. However you get reliable hot water, safe locked place. The area is not the best as is where most people from Cusco live, but there is markets everywhere and pretty much all of Cusco is very safe and taxis charge you $5 ti get to the airport: The owner arranged all of the trips do Machu Picchu and 7 color mountain for me for a fair price.
- Daniel (10/5): Great stay at Hotel Wayra Dreams -
- Raz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruslan (7/5): Good -
- Jossuana Gueraldin Hernandez (10/5): - Todo estuvo bien, mucha amabilidad por parte de todos.

- Lavinia Maria (2/5): - This is a hotel with no heating or hot water, although the temperature outside was -1 Celsius. The staff is attentive, but the hotel is not even one star. Damp, noisy, located in a shabby area.
- Tomeka (8/5): - loved my stay hotel staff was very friendly, little disappointed in the breakfast options but overall, it was good for the price!
- trochea152 (10/5): Good price - Nice cozy hotel, they keep doors locked which makes me feel safe, clean, bathrooms small no heat but warm blankets, works recommend, stayed 6 days, very good for the price, they also have a hotel dog who is very loving and friendly and loves to greet at door
- Gerardo (8/5): U get what u pay for - Very friendly staff, no ac or heading, we only got one towel per person for 3 days stay
- SAURABH (4/5): - One person running the property , she locks the property when she goes out so movement is restricted
- Vaseem (7/5): Small, cosy, clean, central. - Central. Cosy, everything worked except for the internet, which i attribute to most of the city. Clean. Staff were super friendly. Internet was bad. Safe parking was like a block away. Rooms were a tad too small and cramped.
- Fatima (10/5): - I love this place
- Anderson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was small and quiet. It was just me and my Husband. They gave me double instead of queen but fixed it easily. the bathrooms were clean but smelled a little. I kept the door closed so it didn't leak into the room.
- Nathan (6/5): - staff is friendly and helpful but did not have fluent English speaking staff but we managed to communicate what was needed including getting an airport shuttle arranged.
the rooms do not have heat so get somewhat chilly during the Peruvian winter. warm blankets are provided to compensate. the room amenities are fairly basic and the shower can run out of hot water if many guests are using at the same time.
Note this location is not near the downtown square so a 10-15 min taxi ride (5-8 sol) is required
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was nice but cold. No heat. Could use a new shower nozzle
- X259VTjordanb (10/5): Like a Dream - The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The room was very clean and cozy. It was cleaned regularly throughout our 4 night stay. The breakfast bar did not have a great variety but was still good. It is a little far from the city center. You can take the El Dorado bus which passes directly in front of the hotel to get to the center. To return we usually took a taxi.
- Sandy (8/5): Simple, comfortable and central - I visited Cuzco in a hiking trip. I loved the cultural experience. Wayra hotel is just to spend the night after an exhausting day.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent But Dusty - They had hot running water which is not always a guarantee in Peru, and the staff was super helpful with getting our tour/taxi drivers to us. For some reason, no taxi driver or tour guide was able to find this hotel and we had lots of scheduling complications, not really sure why this was, but the staff seemed to be used to it and helped us out a lot! The rooms were pretty dusty, but otherwise clean. Everyone in my group had pretty severe allergy issues with the dust though.
- kturner77 (6/5): clean and tidy - This was abit to far away from the the Plaza.
the rooms were clean, and my private room, had good WIFI.
If you need a quiet place to stay, this is it.
Staff were helpful, thanks

- Christina (4/5): Not worth the stay, terrible customer service - I have traveled the world and am not a high maintenance person. I was given a single room instead of the double I paid for. They refused to give me the difference (see Expedia's facebook page). They told me because I was in the room by myself the room is automatically booked for a single room. They would not work with Expedia and just blamed me (no one speaks English and so Expedia customer service also had problems, took over a month and I just got credit from Expedia because the hotel would not work with either of us). The room was also poorly cleaned my covers were filled with dust bunnies. Cusqueños (people of Cuzco) told me I could have gotten a better deal elsewhere. The room was freezing cold (July is winter) and the heater barely did anything (you have to ask for the heater, they do not give it to you), I slept with my winter hiking gear on. I left the heater on the lowest setting before leaving so I could come back to a warm room and it was unplugged. None of the cab drivers know the direction of the hotel and it costs (5 soles to get into the city, 7 soles to get to the airport). The front doors are always locked as well. There are much better hotels in the area closer to the city center. The amount of soles I spent on cabs, it would have been better to stay closer to the city center. You can walk from the city center if you would like, but if you are doing the Inca trail or other treks you will not want to walk. This hotel felt like a cheap hostel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A bit far from the main plazas. Had to take a taxi everywhere. Wifi only works in lobby. Super clean with a friendly staff though.
- MyriamR992 (6/5): Good deal - This hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is not in the tourist section of town. You will have to take a taxi for 6 sol, $2.00 to get to the main square where you can book tours to Machu Picchu and other sites. The hotel is in a family area of town a few blocks from a huge market selling verges, fruits, meats, bread and other items. Within walking distance is another market area selling shoes, clothes and other items very cheaply. Also a few blocks away is a wonderful Restrurant with a huge Neal for 7 sol, about $2.50. The rooms are very small but there is plenty of hot water for showers. If you want a cheap, clean ,quiet and safe place to sleep this is a good deal. wifi works well in the lobby but off and on in the rooms.
- Hoan Toan (10/5): nice hotel - Good hotel , warm staffs, and nice restaurant near by
- M (6/5): Nice hotel for the price - The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is not near the tourist area of Cusco but in a family neighborhood. There's a wonderful market 2 blocks from the hotel selling veges, fruit, breads and meat. There's also an excellent and inexpensive Restrurant on the corner. For 7 sol, about $2.50 you get a huge meal. The rooms are Very small but clean and plenty of hot water for showers. It's a 10 minute taxi ride to the main square where you can get tours to Machu Picchu and other locations. So if you just want a place to sleep thats quiet and clean and inexpensive this is a good deal.
- Chris (8/5): Nice hotel for price. - The staff is very helpful. If a staff member doesn't speak English, ask them to use Google translate on their computer. The only downfall is that they are not exact on staff communication. Keep a tab on water and things regarding money. Oh, and keep in mind that they are 5 minutes from Plaza De Armas. Roughly 5 soles. However, they are friendly, clean and the shower never runs out of hot water. I used this hotel before and after my inca trail hike and was happy with the facilities. They were also good at calling me food delivery and instructing me to nearby stores etc.
- Mariia (6/5): - Super nice staff
