The bed was solid like sleeping on a floor the lighting there was 2 like sort of table lamps on the wall. The only light in the place was bit dirty. The bathroom was really small. The curtains opened, there was no balcony. There was no cable TV even though it advertised cable TV. There wasn't an even though I asked they said that they terminated it. This place is the worst place possibly. I've stayed in a long, long time. Hello

De badkamer de vloer volledig onder water...gevaarlijk om te vallen, de airco veel te koud en niet aan te passen, de TV heel slecht en geen Engelstalige programma's alleen Thai en Chinees, het morgenmaal volledig afgestemd op Aziaten, feitelijk niets van wat jullie voorschotelen in booking klopt,...in de toekomst zullen nadenken voor we via BOOKING nog boeken... Bijna alles, behalve het personeel....

- Eddy (7/5): It was okay for what we paid — we weren’t expecting luxury. - It’s conveniently located near a mall, so shopping for essentials is very easy. We booked through Booking.com but couldn’t find any available rooms located next to each other, so we selected the only available options. Later, we asked the hotel staff directly if there were any adjacent rooms for our family, but unfortunately, they didn’t offer any assistance or suggestions, even though it seemed like such arrangements could have been possible. This was disappointing, especially as we were traveling with family and hoped for a bit more flexibility or support from the staff.

- Anonta (8/5): Good location for short stay like grab and go - The location is very very closed to department store suit for IT, eat and drink. Lighting is good for leisure. Pricing is reasonable and parking lots is available. Hotwater Stability is low, you have to move in and out during too hot and too cold, we met a group of visitor for breakfast about 100 pesons then our breakfast is bit mezz and too much people. The room ceiling and aside can not keep silence when upstair move the chair or aside turn on TV you can feel.

- John (9/5): 3 day weekend stay for family of 4. - Not only were our rooms close together, but there was a door between them. We were able to put our girls in one room with my wife and I in the other. Instead of 2 twin beds in our room, they had a queen size for us to share. The staff at Asawann understood our situation and worked out a room situation that was better than any option we could choose online.

- Peter (6/5): Pleasant - Room size, view Light fittings loose and the one above the TV wasn't working well. The TV satellite box did not work. It was replaced. Also the fridge did not work. It also had to be replaced. The shower pressure was low. Parking initially was an issue with none on duty to coordinate parked vehicles.

- Steve (2/5): - Place is very simple, it’s a clean bed and that’s all. The place is clean and in good condition, location is also good. Bad points were that the beds are very cheap and hard, this stop us from sleeping well and woke multiple times through each night. The breakfast is also very poor, no food is hot and had ants over fruit on a few occasion.

No fuss with reception etc, staff helpful. 7 eleven on the corner, very close to Tesco Lotus. Price included breakfast but we never tried it - always quick out in morning. It looked nice mind. Water pressure was really low, I mean poor. Lighting was a little dim. Could not get anything on the TV - wasnt really bothered to be honest so didn't say anything until check out. Hopefully it'll be fixed for next people.

- Pieter (3/5): Not recommended for the "standard" traveler, even the suite is sub-standard. - Good location, walkthrough to shopping center. We had a suite (room 505). This hotel appears to be a typically "province" meeting hotel. It really misses "business" hotel qualities and especially the room (size was ok, but) was very disappointing. The SUITE design is a somewhat crazy set-up with double types of air temp controllers, a very small (about 40 cm deep) and inconvenient bathroom (what were they thinking when they made this ????). The bed matras was extremely flat and when one person turned over the other was moving along on the other side of the bed..... There is so much space in the room, why not a normal desk with chair so you can do some work? The only available spot to sit and work on a laptop had some strange quirks that made it also uncomfortable to work. The breakfast room was some kind of canteen. Big tables and no smaller options to sit e.g. with 2 or 4 at the table. The Breakfast itself was acceptable, though very Thai farmer focused. The hotel management should check out the room and bathroom and discuss it this is something you want to offer. Upon checkout I asked twice there were any remaining payments, they had the creditcard info and because they confirmed I assumed that it was paid, my wife did the same in Thai. They confirmed all was paid for and we went, then about 1.5 hour later (75 km away driving South) we got called by the hotel that the room was not yet paid for..... We refused to go back and paid later in the afternoon by bank transfer. How can a hotel like this get to 7.8 on Booking .com. Must be very happy other visitors.....

- Wesley (4/5): - The hotel is old and neglected, lots of peeling paint and all the appliances and bathroom fixtures barely work. There are over 100 tv channels and not one is in english. For some inconceivable reason, the hotel does not have blackout curtains in the rooms so I hooe you enjoy bright sunlight at 6am every day. There is only one spare electric outlet in the room, no outlets in the bathroom, so forget shaving with an electric razor. The laundry service is pure extortion at 100 baht per kilogram, just go do it yourself or take it to a laundry shop. There are no in room lockboxes or safes, requring you to leave your valuables with the front desk. Totally ridiculous. The elevatora are small and slow and it can take 10 minutes to get an elevator in the morning. The beds are on wheels that creak and make noise at the slightest movement, you'll also enjoy the uncomfortable old mattresses that collapse under your weight. I hooe you don't need to go to bed early because the music and noise from the conference rooms can be heard on the 5th and 6th floor at all hours of the night. Breakfast is included, but the staff don't speak or understand english so have fun ordering your eggs as you like them. The eggs will be the only thing kept at food safe temperatures though. Enjoy the cold sausage and ham, nice and oxidized and everything is cold as they dont heat anything or keep the lids closed on the food so the flies have free access to the food. The A/C doesnt work properly.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel itself is great. The staff is wonderful. The problem is with the food court at the Asawan complex. It is infested with cockroaches. This has never been a problem before, but it was a major problem on this trip.

They are willing to give us an extra wifi code for each stay. They receptionists even watched our toddler for a couple minutes while we ran an errand. The only negative was the construction in front of the building. That is a short-term negative that I am sure will lead to a long-term improvement.

- John (8/5): Good hotel near the Lao border. - Traveling with a baby is difficult. We use Asawan as a place to stay near the border when we travel from Vientiane into Thailand. The access to shopping is a huge bonus. Their business center is also very helpful.
