• Toflat (9/5): If you want a home-base for your stay in Kyoto this was an incredible value and experience. - Being able to rent a full house for just as much as renting a hotel room for the same price made my stay a lot more comfortable. All the amenities were modern but the aesthetic of an old Japanese home was still there to experience. The location was close enough to the train station and right in line with a very well run bus route and grocery store. The home was extremely well signed as far as safety goes, however this might have gone too far. The exit sign in the stairwell by the primary bedroom was too bright for me personally and lit up the entire room even with the door closed. I had to move to the other bedroom to be able to sleep.
