Wenn Frühst nicht wichtig, zumindest Instant Kaffee oder Tee auf Zimmer zubereitbar mittels Wasserkocher. Im EG Mikrowelle vorhanden zur Nutzung. Dort auch gefiltertes Trinkwasser abfüllbar. Ruhige Lage, an wenig befahrener Verkehrstraße, hat mich nachts nicht gestört (hatte Zimmer auf Vorderseite in OG 2). TV verfügbar mit mehr als 20 Programmen. WLAN stabil verfügbar. Zimmer für eine Person ausreichend, gemütlich, Bett bequem (Doppelbett). Für 2 Personen wäre es eng, aber es gibt wohl auch größere Zimmer. Innen etwas hellhörig. Lautes Schnappen der Türen. Etwas wenig Ablage für Kleidung (4 Kleiderbügel, 2 Regale an Wand. Reinigungsrythmus wie angekündigt mehrere Tage, im Prinzip ausreichend, falls Klopapier oder Müllbeutel gebraucht werden, kann man sich im Office im EG, 9 bis 17 besitzt, melden.

On nous a conseillé de ne pas boire l’eau dans la salle de bain (mais il y en avait sans problème à disposition dans le hall).

Price I paid was great. Shower room was small. If sat on the toilet your knees hit the sink, so had to sit skewed. Google takes you to the wrong place...the house you want is painted green.

You could get water from somewhere else but it was really difficult, as you had to carry it to your room along with your phone to remember the code. There was nowhere local to get a coffee or food.

• Simon (9/5): Excellent for short-term stays... - - Deluxe With River View was comfy with above average bedding for this price range. - Excellent location for gigs at the Tramshed or the Clwb Ifor Bach - Good shower - Slightly dowdy wallpaper, carpet, etc. - Limited space for clothes--a few hangers and shelves but no chest of drawers or luggage rack. - Top Floor room 13 was incredibly small, I'd like to think that the owner would only put single people in it. If you are a couple and specify the Deluxe With River View it might be wise to check you aren't in 13
• Muhammad Moiz (1/5): Value for money was meaningless when a basic necessity like heating is technically non-existent. Customer service is non - The location is nice. Heating didn’t work all night. There is no management, security I could speak to. I stayed up all night. I had a meeting to attend in the morning, the whole day got ruined. They claim it is temperature controlled which is obviously cap. It turned back on at 6am and shut off again at a certain time.

• Ian (8/5): If you have room 6, you should be able to sleep well - I was in room 6, which faced the alleyway/gardens, so there was no outside noise waking me up all night. Of the 5 nights I stayed, only the 2nd night was poor sleep because the person in room 7 was restless and moving about all night back and forth across the hallways and slamming the door. Everything else was just what I needed. It was a single bed which I haven't slept in in so long, yet I slept no problem. Wisestay is under Aaaron Wise, who seems to have multiple properties. When you book with wisestay, they send these extra e-mails about entering details on a guest portal. I can only assume this is added for everyone, including other properties for longer more contractual stays, but these 'proforma invoices' are odd. I've stayed at 4 other places recently through booking.com and they don't do this guest portal/invoice proforma/ add your card details routine. It should be simple. Pay through booking.com and that's that. The room is yours for the time needed. I've had messages from Kenan Ceting and Shola Idowu telling me not to worry about these things, so it may be nothing.

• Brooke (6/5): The most affordable option, great location, a few issues to overcome - There are some great things about this place - first, location. It's incredibly conventiently located, a very short walk from Cardiff Central train station. Though you don't necessarily interact with staff (it's self check-in), I did, and the woman I spoke with was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean enough, the bed was comfortable enough, and my room really had (almost) all it needed. And it was the most affordable option! If they could make a few small improvements it would go a long way. The room was absolutely minuscule - hardly room to turn around and the toilet so small that I couldn't even shut the door. It grew on me - I got used to the size after the inital surprise, and in itself it would up not being so bad. The one major issue I had with the room and didn't get over was that the curtains were too short for the windows - windows that looked over a big, main road - which meant that at night, with the lights on in the bed, I was on full display! I used my towel to cover as much of the gap as I could, but that is a very strange thing for them to overlook. Apart from that, complaints are minor. The floor was incredibly creaky meaning I couldn't do anything quietly but hey, it's an old building, and you get used to that.

The bathrooms are modern and the showers lovely and hot. The customer service and communication is always excellent. The coded doors and self check out are ideal when you are travelling at unusual hours. I have nothing negative to say.

V ubytovaní som si zabudla adaptér do zásuvky, no z ubytovania mi hneď napísali, že sa preň možem zastaviť.

Room cleaned to a very high standard, housekeeping are exceptionally good. Thank you to Kenan and Shola, nothing to much trouble and are both were fantastic, extremely helpful always. This place is conveniently positioned being only a 10 min walk to Cardiff Central train and bus station, just 15 min into Cardiff centre, HIGHLY recommended. All was good no complaints.
