- Tim (8/5): Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation - Very clean and comfortable room with great views. Ideal location for exploring. Would return in the future The pub attached to the rooms was very food focused, more restaurants than pub. But staff were lovely and the food very good.
- Stuart (7/5): -
- LINDA (10/5): A lovely retreat - Lovely room
Great shower
Fridge in room
Quiet
Fab restaurant
Oat milk provided in room
- Kerri (10/5): - Stunning rooms right on the water. Clean, modern, comfortable. Lovely staff, very attentive.
- Carly (9/5): -
- Ola (5/5): enkelt utan något extra - frukost saknades restaurangmatens kvalitet ver medioker
- Malcolm (7/5): V. Good food and service. - Food was excellent. Room was 'musty' and would have benefited from having the heating on prior to arrival, as it was late March.
- Pauline (8/5): Overall ok but would have liked to be within walking distance to Hayle beach - Good facilities in the room especially the fridge, clean and comfortable and staff quite accommodating with any problems If you like getting away from the hustle and bustle this out of the way hotel is good, we came by train and taxis were good, being a little out of season staff in the restaurant were keen to get you out by 9pm, also no reception open until 11.30am so had to carry very large key around

- Cornelis (7/5): Redelijke overnachtingsmogelijkheid. Diner, redelijk “pubfood”. Geen persoonlijke ontvangst.
- Liz (9/5): Would stay there again but would be better taking a car as public transport not nearby. - Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and good quality furniture and fittings. Comfortable beds. Stunning views. Food varied. Some excellent, some overcooked.
- Scott (10/5): -
- John (8/5): -
- Young Wung (5/5): - Friendly customer service. A slight musty smell upon entering the room.

- Louise (9/5): Great location lovely room - Location and comfort of room Restaurant was closed before I arrived. When I called to ask about the restaurant times the duty manager said they had tried to call me. I had no call missed on my phone or a messsge.
A bit disappointing. I ordered just eats

- Raymond (7/5): Great location but overpriced. - The location was good. For the price paid, I expected more from the room although it was okay. The dining room was set out like a canteen. The food was okay but not excellent.
- Adam (8/5): -
- P.I.E. (8/5): -
- Julia (6/5): Compromise and one need a car to go around - Breakfast place nearby and kids playground, good and clean room It is next to a motorway, and water body was full only during the night, the rest of the time it feels more like a swamp.
- Jane (8/5): - We had a lovely room at The Old Quay House with superb views over the Estuary but only for 2 of our three nights sadly. The bed was so comfortable and waking up to that view was wonderful. The Superior room we had for our last night, also looking out over the sea was much smaller with a small double bed. Everything was provided for including binoculars and torches etc. which was a nice touch. Generally we felt a lack of warmth and personal attention especially since they don’t provide breakfast which would enable more staff interaction. Apart from that we had a very pleasant stay.

- Christine (7/5): -
- John (9/5): Return visit met previous expectations - Amazing location, my room was actually right by the estuary with the water lapping at the veranda at high tide, fyi some rooms don't actually face the estuary. Nice to be woken by the honking of Canada geese (it was quiet honking as the double glazing does work). My only criticism is that the vegetarian/vegan choices on the menu were limited to 3 and none very exciting. I stayed 3 nights but after 2 nights eating in I went out for the 3rd.

- Louise (8/5): Good if stopping for 1 night. - There was no breakfast it is up the road at some place and one can get a 10% discount if eat there.
We missed dinner as we were late but it looks like a very popular place to eat and I think good. It is a good clean room.

- Sam (7/5): Comfortable - Location and grounds Bar area could do with a make over
- Sergej (10/5): -

- Christie (10/5): Arrived on Sunday in time for a roast dinner which was fantastic,Monday we ate here again and didn’t disappointed - Absolutely fantastic location, if you’re sightseeing this is the perfect spot as your in the middle of everywhere
The little restaurant next door is a must to visit as well There’s nothing not to like
- sandra (9/5): - There was a problem with hot water on the 1st night, staff dealt with this promptly and effectively. They were very accommodating.
- William Neil (9/5): Great stay, good location and he had a great meal - Everything was great, good location, super meal as well. Everything was fine
- Celina (10/5): excellent - view
- Felicity (8/5): Nära till mycket. - Bra läge och fint rum. Utmärkt parkering.
- Marie (10/5): -
- Iris (9/5): Schöner Bungalow am Wasser. - Toller Bungalow mit Seeblick. Gute Ausstattung. sehr nettes Personal.
- Reisepaul (7/5): - Freundlicher Service. Rezeption an der Bar.
- Sima (6/5): -
- Pramod kumar (8/5): - Location is beautiful
- Winton (9/5): - The location was superb, right on the Hayle Estuary with stunning views everywhere.
- Anton (10/5): Perfekte Lage, gutes Essen, super freundliches Personal 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 - Perfekt Room 6!
- CHING MAN (10/5): - Highly recommended the hotel. The environment of the hotel is excellent and comfortable. The room is clean and tidy. My child like the playground and I enjoy the view around. Plenty of free parking space which is very convenient. The breakfast nearby is also wonderful and hotel resident got 10%off. We had a dinner in the hotel restaurant as well. The seafood skewer is very nice. No discount for residents though.
- Smith (9/5): Quay Hotel with birds alongside and Birdees next door. - We loved the location next to the bird sanctuary. Fabulous outdoor area for families. Didn't eat at the hotel as family took us out every day.
I liked the room it was compact but fresh and always cleaned to perfection with fresh towels too. Loved the fridge thank you for fresh milk and water every day. Plenty of tea and coffee choices and biscuits..Bath mat was a nice touch and windows on restrictors and with the heat thanks so much for the fan. Bed was really comfy (albeit two singles side by side) Shower was excellent with amazing water pressure. Bedside lamps need lower wattage bulbs or dimmer switches for more subtle lighting. Quilt was far too hot for the season and blue footer had nylon in it so was also too hotto use instead. Please think about offering larger dressing gowns XL is pretty standard in most hotel rooms that do provide them. Likewise a bath sheet goes all the way around rather than the bath towel which does not.
The coffee machines need looking at (grounds in mug and leaks underneath machine) We went back to using instant sachets less hassle.
Disappointed not to get breakfast included when paying £175 per day so we ate cereal on all but our departure day to save money. Birdees next door was fab they made us a lovely breakfast and we got our 10% discount.
We may or may not return as you are very expensive.

- Emma (10/5): -
- Slava (10/5): Ideal for both - families and couples, brilliant location for those looking to venture out - Brilliant, character property - clean and all that you need for relaxed stay as family
It was 5 of us - aged 7-69 and the set up (small cottages, inner play area, beer garden etc) meant that everyone enjoyed themselves and we were together as a group all the time ( grandad enjoying his pint, children playing in secure play ground, uncle watching the birds with his girlfriend on separate balcony) Set up, character and room decor
- Greenslade (9/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fabulous break at the old quay house, hayle - Friendly, relaxing atmosphere with fantastic views of hayle estuary. Watching the tide come in and go back out from our room and seeing the wild birds in the local area was fascinating. The staff were friendly and the meals were excellent.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even tho the weather wasn’t on our side. We would definitely return.
- Sean (7/5): Ok but expensive when compared with a Travelodge or Premier Inn. No breakfast available before 9am. - Nice location and comfy room although main window backed out onto a car park rather than the estuary as anticipated. Tea and coffee was provided in the room but no milk. There were coffee "pods" for use in a coffee machine, but there was no coffee machine in the room. Could not get any breakfast at 7:30am before leaving for work as the onsite restaurant didn't open for breakfast and the bistro next door didn't open until 9am.
- Paweł (8/5): - Location is nice For me, bed it's too soft, and the bar is closed to fast
- Ross (7/5): - Amazing view from the Lodge, very peaceful just what we wanted, friendly staff , room spotless.
- kelly (10/5): - Our third time here and loved it just as much as our first. Staff friendly and helpfull as always, we look forward to staying again soon. Thank you!
- Sonila (9/5): Supper comfortable and most definitely a place to go back next year ! - Superb service and great location if you are travelling with your own transport ! Staff were kind and very thoughtful ! Nothing !!
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Nicola (8/5): - Lovely little pub, food was smashing and staff were super friendly. Short drive to local hot spots. There are no heavy curtains in the room, so I woke extra early. The bathroom was clean but could have been better if I had been picking fault.
- Paul (5/5): Pleasant but deceiving - Quiet and pleasant Certainly not what I expected. The main image is sooooo deceiving. There will most likely be zero water around this place or at least not to the extent as the image displays. So disappointed
- Edel (8/5): Lovely staff, good location - The location was really nice, set on the river Value for money wasn't great to be honest. Our room had all the basics bit was a little outdated in terms of furniture, quality etc. We had stayed in a hotel in a different location the previous night for the same price and it was alot better quality and value for money.
- jess (10/5): -
- Trinh (6/5): - Booked and paid for seaview room and was very disappointed to find the water had dried up for quite sometime. The hotel picture and description needs updating. I would not have booked had I’d known.
- Ceausescu S (10/5): - The location is amazing just by the estuary, the rooms and bathroomz are very clean, fridge, coffee maker, tea almost everything you need in the room and mayhe the most important...the beds are realyyyy comfortable. -
- Saptarshi (8/5): -
- Irungu (7/5): Happy at the beginning. Very unhappy at the end. - They were kicking us out of room at check out as if we were there illegitimately. Very unprofessionally. They asked us to go look for a place to throw away broken suitcase, rudely.
- Holly Miller (8/5): -
- Antony (10/5): Mid year break - Great location for use as a base to explore this part of Cornwall..The room is basically a bedroom with an ensuite with no facilities to cook but the main pub has great food and loads of places to eat .lovely view over the estuary from our balcony I was very happy with my stay.
- Michele (7/5): Nice accommodation over a lagoon - The staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, with a view on the lagoon, which was entertaining. I felt thebroom was a little overpriced.
- sandra (5/5): -
- R (7/5): -
- kelly (10/5): Highly recommend The Old Quay House, we will definitely be going back again! - The rooms are lovely, bright spacious and clean. Our bed was huge and not to mention so comfortable! The pub, restaurant and outdoor areas are all beautifully kept too and the meals were very tasty. Staff are all also extremely helpful and welcoming, thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The guest book in the rooms were a little confusing which lead to a little misunderstanding in regards to room service being available but cannot fault the way the staff handled the situation. They were very apologetic and accomodated our request by way of an apology, which we really appreciated and completely grateful for them making the exception for us.
- Ann (10/5): This was a great hub to stay at if you want to blitz this part of Cornwall. - This Hôtel doesn’t provide breakfast but there is a cafe 1 minute walk away.
We didn’t mind because the room has an adequate fridge so we had cereals each morning. The thoughtful touches in the lodge which included outside dedicated seating area were a pleasant surprise. The friendliness of the staff and the buzz of the place was a bonus. The pub food was great and eaten in the modern and renovated building. The gardens and playground was kept spotless. Nothing, really. Maybe the closeness to the main road, which wasn’t too bothersome because our room was at the far end of the garden.
- Sian (8/5): -
- Mathias (8/5): -
- Shelley (9/5): - Lovely position right on the estuary! Great facilities. Lovely touch to have a bird book in the room for guests to use and the perfect outdoor table and chairs. Good comms in the area allowed us to work via our mobile hotspot. The distance to St Ives, shops and activities is no problem if you have a car, which we did. A little on the small side, but still great value
- Liz (7/5): A little disappointed with The Old Quay - its location along highway. Wetlands great. - Birdies - restaurant adjacent to property, where we had breakfast & diner. Professional staff and excellent service Felt isolated in our room that was adjacent to car park
- Davy-lee (10/5): -
- Kay (8/5): We loved it and would definitely stay again - Lovely warm welcome. We loved sitting on the decking watching the wildlife. We loved all the little extra touches that were added to the room like fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge. Coffee machine and biscuits. A fan in case it was hot which it was. Binoculars to watch wildlife. Toiletries tissues and cotton pads to name just a few. Nothing
