Lovely breakfast at Diesel and Cream on the premises at very reasonable prices I'm trying to think of something.... Maybe a bigger coffee plunger

• Claudia (10/5): Amazing place to stay to get a feel of Barrydale - Amazing space that has been beautiful curated. Great location to start your exploring along the main road. Great for an overnight stop or to see the town for a couple of nights like we did.

• Guest (8/5): We were on adventure motorcycles and it provided a fantastic base for us to explore the surrounding - The room was well appointed and very comfortable. The accommodation offered excellent value for money, and the 1 meal that we had in the restaurant was very good. Obviously it has to do with the season, but when we were there the restaurant closed at 17:00, not a hardship as there were a number of restaurants within walking distance

Everything is top quality … from the linen to the towels, to the furnishings … We had absolutely everything we needed. And it was SPOTLESSLY clean! Having the restaurant next door is lovely too … we had a delicious breakfast in the morning. I wish we’d spent a few more nights there … we’ll definitely be back! Nothing

• Arthur (10/5): Highly recommended: Karoo Moon Motel - The Karoo Moon Motel is a combo of quirky, eclectic and upmarket with its exotic blend of memorabilia and high end finishes. The host was extremely helpful with check in and providing suggestions on where to eat. The unit is spacious, luxurious and extremely comfortable. An added bonus with Diesel&Cream on the doorstep serving great food & milkshakes. Loved our stay!

It‘s artsy, it‘s edgy, it‘s spacious the perfect stop for a night or two in Barrydale. In the suite we had two living rooms, a very spacious and cozy king size bed, a second bed, four very big comfy chairs and a small kitchenett. The decoration is just outstanding. It is directly next to Diesel & Creme and very stylish. Expect people to walk by on your porch. All call after 430pm.

• Leon (8/5): overall it was pleasant, memorable, comfortable, relaxing and safe, exceeded expectations - the accommodation, facilities, equipment , bedding, bathroom , lounge was good, comfortable, clean, in good condition on-site parking, location and ease of access to local restaurants, pubs, etc; once parked we could walk everywhere comfortably & safely the rusks were yummy with the coffee in the morning, nice touch! good, simple security & access to the room host was proactive and perfectly attentive to our needs, his balance & discretion ensured we were comfortable and had access to all we needed could have had a bit more variety of magazines in the room

• Deborah (8/5): Snug bed in quirky accommodation - The bed in our room was really fantastic - huge bed with warm down duvet and comfortable pillows, and an electric blanket that was on when we got to the venue. As it was a freezing night, this was really appreciated! The unconventional decor meant that this was certainly no bland hotel room. Lovely apple juice in the fridge and dried figs were a great touch possibly showcasing food from the Klein Karoo. The lights in the small lounge were very dull, so it felt a little gloomy in there (it was a miserable day!).

Lovely shower, easy to find the ideal temperature and it stayed there. I could switch the WIFI off and not fry my brain during the night - can't always do that at other facilities Smoky smell on arrival. I didn't use the fireplace but people should find out exactly how to start the fire to prevent smoke into the room. It could work perfectly

Every decor item was thoughtfully curated and made the visit even more special. I had a wonderful short stay and hope to be back!
