- Lina Gan (8/5): A very nice set up! I wish we had more time at the property to enjoy the facilities. - The staff are very serving. We arrived too late at the property and had to leave early to our next destination, so we did not get to enjoy any facilities.
- Zaheer (10/5): Perfection - Everything Nothing, it was perfect

- Catherine (10/5): - Charming property, lovely cottages, delicious food, very friendly and helpful staff
- Baker (10/5): A wonderful place to relax and enjoy th surroundings with wonderful staff that were extremely helpful and friendly. Not - Loved the coffee plantation surrounding all the individual cottages, the wonderful staff who were very helpful and attentive and the relaxed environment that was created here. It would have been great to have a gym on site as well to enable some exercise other than swimming.

- Douglas (9/5): Staff and breakfast out of this world - The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. I can not say enough about the housekeeping staff, they were so kind and helpful.
The breakfast was excellent. The best we had on our 1 month trip in Africa. We also enjoyed our suppers there. The pool very much needs some maintenance and an upgrade.
- Ahaad (10/5): Experience Tanzanian hospitality - Staff was amazing. They made the experience so so so worth it! I want to come back to Arusha soon because of this!!

- Yvonne (10/5): A serene retreat. Very convenient location, close to the airport. - Beautifullly landscaped property. Spacious and well appointed rooms with a nice personal touch of greenery and rose petals. Excellent cuisine! Nothing to add.
- Nicholas (8/5): very comfortable. Excellent food, ridiculously expensive wine, cheap spirits. - well put together and excellent food. I thought staff tried to milk us for money at every opportunity rather than doing their best for us.
- jacquelyn (10/5): - I stayed for 1 night and was wonderful. Near to the airport. Food delicious. Clean and quiet. Staff spectacular

- Daryl (10/5): Wonderful - The staff
- Isriya (10/5): Best pristine place to stay in Arusha. Perfect in every count - The hotel is like an oasis in the bustling Arusha, setting in the coffee plantation, the room and bathroom is spacious and comfortably decorated. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. There are many corners to sit and relax or walk around. Check in process was a bit too long, after a long travel to the hotel, standing there for over half an hour just to get the room key was brutal.
- William (8/5): Very good - Staff The bathroom sink. Faucet was 2” from bottom of sink. Could not get my hands under water to wash them
- Philippa (10/5): Beautiful rooms and lovely bar & restaurant -
- Christina (9/5): Luxurious rooms, helpful staff. - Great luxurious rooms and located close to Arusha airport. There were 2 restaurants that served Western meals as well. The staff prepared breakfast boxes for us to leave at 5am. The beds were very comfortable. it was overpriced.
- DONNA K (10/5): - Excellent!
- David (9/5): Superb - Didn't have breakfast. No TV
- Tony (8/5): Very good -
- Eduardo (10/5): Comforting hideaway in dynamic Arusha! - Great setting and well developed environment. Diverse eating locations including outdoor ‘Al fresco’ garden spaces Nothing!
- Norma (10/5): - Coffee plants did not look healthy
- Nicola (8/5): Amazing place for rest and exploration - The staff were the absolute highlight, going above and beyond at every opportunity to make sure we had a great stay. The chef prepared us a special Swahili meal on the last night which was amazing and so tasty and such a treat, can’t say thank you enough! The room was very comfortable and the shower and bath were a welcome great after days on the Serengeti! Shanga was also a fabulous shop and great initiative as well Probably the only minor complaint was that the rooms could have used a few more windows to let the breeze in, it got pretty warm in there in the evenings and at night!
- Copleycat (9/5): Superb - Lighting too dim for reading but the grounds, Shanga crafts area and coffee tour took us outside.
- Barbara (9/5): Superb -
- Petr (8/5): Very good - Coffee plantation was interesting. Food was very good. Next to main road, which can be noisy 24/7.
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (10/5): 2 night stay before our Safari - The place is great. Food and service was excellent! Monkeys jumping on the roof a bit at night. But that’s part of the charm
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dr. (10/5): A gem hidden among coffee trees - An impressive Lodge nestled in the coffee fields of Arusha. Not only offering lovely cabins with luxurious bedding and bathrooms, but also a nice pool to dip in after a long day of safari - or work in my case. A big plus is their community work: Shanga workshop employing disabled and deaf people from around Arusha area is located on the grounds. And a zuri café called "kahawa" (Swahili for coffee;). You then totally realize you are in Africa when the breakfast has to be watched over by game keeper - because of the monkey families living on the premises. Definitively a stay to come back to! Prices are obviously for foreigners - the 60min massage was 120,00USD which is expensive even in Europe.
- Debra (10/5): - Beautiful property, super friendly and accommodating staff, wonderful food, lovely room accommodations. Highly recommend a stay here whether as a relaxation visit or a stopover during Tanzania travels. The Shanga working museum and gift shop on premise is lovely to visit. Boniface the painter working on the grounds and offering paintings for purchase also lovely (we bought one!). Enjoyed watching the monkeys scramble about while relaxing on the deck off our Plantation room.
- Gabriel169ro (8/5): Very good -
- Luciana (10/5): I love this hotel - fabulous
- Davy (9/5): A beautifull coffee plantage with great food! and applaus for their social project Shanga.org! - It is a pleasure to stay here... An oasis of rest is the bustling area of Arusha... The luxury bungalows in the middle of the coffee-plantage and beautiful nature are stunning... The food in both the bistrot and the restaurant are great... and we were absolutely charmed by the social project Shanga.org that is hosted on the property, where disabled Tanzanians are working in creative sustainable jobs that are implemented in the hotel, for example all glasses are handblown bij Shanga! Big respect for the owners to implement this! We were not very keen on the bean-to-bar coffee tour, but that might be something personal...
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joan (10/5): A relaxed, couples getaway. - Elewana is well located, private, and has a feeling of exclusivity. The food is great, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this as a couple location. I have no complaints.
- William (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional. One of the best ever. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Food was great. Room was wonderful Would stay her again and recommend it to others.
- Sharon (10/5): we were staying here at the beginning of our safari. it was a perfect way to begin our journey in Africa. - The property was beautiful and secure. The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. I had a wonderful, reasonably priced massage.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Nicky (9/5): A beautiful place to relax and enjoy Africa - Location stunning . Coffee tour well worth it and very interesting. Sitting watching the monkeys with their babies, drinking a cup of tea on the verandah was magical.
Most staff absolutely amazing, however just a few (and only a few), seemed to find everything all too much effort, especially one or two at breakfast. Wrong breakfast orders, orders not arriving, having to look for staff to help. The actually breakfast food, choice, taste, variety was the best we have ever had.
Apart from that, the whole place is magical and we will definitely return. See above. Just a few staff at breakfast complacent.
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicky (3/5): Poor -
- Ayman (8/5): Very good -
- Greg E (10/5): - Good service. Beautiful facilities
- Andrew (8/5): - Arusha Coffee Lodge is a bit dated but the staff are wonderful. Food is fine.
- Elliott (10/5): - Great hotel. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Simply superb
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay after sleepless travel to Arusha. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The bungalows are fantastic with gorgeous decor and the most comfortable bed. The food is truly delicious and well priced too. Loved lounging by the pool after lunch and walking amongst the coffee plants for a little exercise. There are also several wonderful shops on the premise worth a visit.
One of the notable experiences of our stay here- and Tanzania in general- is that no staff slip you cards with their name and tell you to write a good review on Trip Advisor mentioning their names. This has become an obscene practice in Dubai where we reside.
- Gregg (10/5): - Quite. Beautiful setting. Food was wonderful. Staff friendly.
- Claire (10/5): - We spent one night there. It’s a good place for relaxing before/after safari. Staff are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed staying there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Arusha Coffee House is truly my home away from home! Modern without being slick, African styling to perfection. While I was working there in some school I had the pleasure to get to know some of the excellence folks on staff. Remsi, Food & Beverage Manager trained at Disney World at their Animal Kingdom location (which is also excellent by the way) and that is a total coup for the Lodge. Disney training includes never saying No!! So, there you go. It’s just about the biggest Yes in Africa! Oh, and the upgrade to Suite 29 was very kind and appreciated. S
- Philippe (8/5): good hotel choice but price quite too high - very good hotel in a coffee plantation. only negative point is the noise from the road.
Otherwise the price is quite too high for the services provided
- Cheryl (10/5): A nice place to stay - The hotel was very pretty. Comfortable rooms and beds. Food was good. Staff are all friendly. There was a main dining room, as well as a casual restaurant and bar for lunch, snacks, light food and cocktails. The grounds have a lot of coffee plants, but also very pretty landscaping. I would suggest the waiters on the patio give some morning and evening scraps to the hungry thin little cat that showed up on the patio begging for food. It seemed heartless the waiters would just shoo him and chase him away. A healthy cat could keep varmints off the property and would be a cute addition to the grounds. Cats are domestic, not self sufficient like wild animals. They rely on kind humans to feed them.
- Maria (4/5): Not worth the money - What you don't see on the photographs is that the place is right on a busy road and like 3 minutes away from the airport. The coffee plantation uses some kind of nasty fertilizer that gave us an allergic reaction. The villas are nice, but the floors are treacherously slippery. The food was pretty good, but the service is poor. Most of the waiters were poorly trained and very slow, and the guy at the bar tried to serve me twice a watered down drink that I had sent back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): EXCELLENT - I stayed in the plantation suit. I think they have the best service in Tanzania.
