I have the original confirmation from Expedia, showing the price without the added dog friendly room. I do not have a dog..

• Matthew (10/5): - So pleasant to walk into the hotel room and smell fresh, clean air and to see everything tidy neat and spacious. Very happy with this hotel and the manager, Chris, went above and beyond to answer our questions and help us out when we needed something. Wonderful, thick towels and plenty of them. The little Kitchenette was well stocked and very helpful and even included a hot plate! The beds were also super comfortable. We will definitely be returning to stay there!
• Kathryn (10/5): - Very nice studio in a historic building. Only downside was we were in the carriage house which required climbing a long outdoor staircase. A bit difficult and would have been good to know ahead of time. Studio was spotless and very thoughtfully appointed with kitchen essentials for simple meals. We only stayed one night but it would be a great place for an extended stay. Super comfortable bed. Staff was very nice and even offered a future discount for a small problem that occurred. Overall, would highly recommend, but request ground floor if mobility is an issue. They also have cute cabins!

• Sheila (8/5): Overnight - It was just an overnight but accommodated an early check in. Room in main building 2nd floor. Bed was ok but a bit soft for what we are used to. Would like to try a cottage here.
• Stephani (5/5): Poor communication and disclosure of pet friendly rooms. - Location On booking.com I booked a cottage. I was given a room for a pet and for a week was charged a pet fee. The room smelled like pets. No one greeted my friend. And communication regarding my booking daily was not answered.

• Jane (4/5): - 1) Unfortunately, on the 1st full day of our vacation as I was heading to my car I stepped into a 10" wide divot in the parking lot, badly turning my right ankle and scraping my left knee. I believe it was the owner of rhe motel who came over to me. He apologized. But, a week went by and the divot was never filled in. I ended up with a sprained ankle and an avulsion fracture on the inside ankle bone. I was given crutches & an order to follow-up with an orthopedic doctor once I returned home. 2) The pool was cloudy a lot of the time. You could never smell chlorine nor did I ever see a staff person adding chemicals or cleaning it at any time day/night. 3) No one on staff was available on Saturday late afternoon to retrieve toilet paper. I used my roll of papertowels for toilet paper. I did leave a voicemail and toilet paper was found outside my room's door on Sunday a.m. 3) The Wifi was repeatedly going in & out in the evening during the week's stay. 4) The shower curtain was dirty all along the bottom with both black mold and water stains. Unfortunately, the property was not what I remembered it to be from a few years back. The host I originally spoke to during the winter was kind in allowing us to change our vacation dates after I had already put a deposit down for a different week (July). Thank you for that.

The pool was definitely not heated and the concrete was cracked. They don’t clean the rooms at all - to keep costs down is what I was told! yet there was an envelope for a tip for the maid - I won’t stay here again

• Brian (8/5): Nice Motel in Wells Maine - Nice Motel in Wells Maine. Keyless entry and check in was fantastic.The room was clean. The staff was excellent and responsive. Location is nice and accessible. The units are nice, could use some upgrades. Some units have a cook top and some don't. We had pots and pans in the cabinets but No cook top. Overall a clean comfortable stay.

The room was nice as well except for the extra firm beds, the vent in the bathroom had layers of dust like it had never been wiped down, small bits of trash left behind from previous person was behind the table between the beds. Getting into the hot tub was difficult because of the cover and no clear instructions on how to open it. Nice gentlemen who works there helped open it for me after seeing me struggle. Kids enjoyed the pool. It was convenient to food and the beach.

• Toni (10/5): Was perfect for what we needed! - The beds were comfortable and clean. Provided three blankets on the bed, which were the perfect amount! The mini fridge, shower, kitchenette, and overall room was very clean and well-kept. We got one of the pet-friendly rooms, before deciding not to bring our dog with us, but you would never know it was a pet-friendly room. No sign of animals in there prior, smell or pet-hair wise. I wish the main light, connected to the light switch inside the door, weren't just a small, dull lamp in the corner of the room, but there were enough lamps provided to be able to light the room up well enough.

• Mauro (6/5): - Let me start by saying the owner was very nice and went above and beyond to accommodate my need of a room with 2 beds as after booking a 2 bed room it was actually a bed and sofa bed. The room was very spacious and clean. It had a nice kitchenette with plates, silverware ect. The one problem that was a big problem for me was the bed felt like i was sleeping on concrete. Ive honestly never slept on a more uncomfortable bed. If they change their mattresses I'd would definitely stay there again.

• Sarah (6/5): Would definitely stay again if they update their mattresses - It was right off the main road to go to Kennebunk or Ogunquit. Was clean and had all we needed for a week stay. Staff was friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed. Honestly the only thing I didn’t like was the beds comfort. They are way too hard for trying to rest or sleep and the pillows were the same. The sheets and comforter were perfect for the summer weather.

• Patricia (9/5): Our stay was short and comfortable, everything we needed was within reach! - The Carriage House does not provide meals however if you book a room with a kitchenette, it includes mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and utensils. There are plenty of quality restaurants up and down Rte 1 and the staff will help you with recommendations and nearby attractions. I also liked the keyless entry which made coming and going, more like home- did not have to wait for check-in or check-out. There is also picnic tables, BBQ grills, a pool and hot tub on site . We did not take advantage of those, because we were out doing other things. Knowing these are all there makes the Carriage House on my go to list for future visits! If you are a senior with mobility or other dysfunction, you may want to call ahead to question accommodations. ( I did not) our unit was very clean and comfortable and is temperature controlled with central air. The bathroom however is not handicapped equipped. ( no handrail on wall near toilet and shower though roomy is not conducive for stepping in ( high side) and the tub is not slip proof, there is no bar or grip on wall for stabilization.

We were left with no place to stay at 2 pm on New Years Eve . My account has still been charged for the stay . I can not get in touch with the Hotel .
