- Lynne (8/5): Appreciated the pick up and lift back to the airport service; staff were very friendly and obliging and the room was cle - I particularly liked the proximity to the airport, the usual warm Tanzanian welcome, and being able to order dinner which was ready exactly at the time I requested. The noise! There was a construction site very close-by where men were working – at 1.00 in the morning.

- Chisenga (6/5): Served the purpose but not worthy $46 - Location is super, like next to the airport. Ideal for some place to rest, lay you head. Staff was friendly with an on time Airport shuttle service. One can easily find own way to the airport. Fully air-conditioned room. Sanitary facilities are poorly arranged. Need to have an enclosed shower and not open to the toilet seat, making the toilet paper and whole bathroom floor wet. Old and worn off towel, and Tv was not working properly; showers and half pics with limited channel choices. Room had not table for possible carry over working. Need to improve on food preparation generally to meet international travellers expectations.

Also, the lodge is so close to the airport (5 minutes). The breakfast was very good, and all the staff members were so kind to me. I'm definitely coming back whenever I need a place to stay while catching fights.

Very close to several mosques with call to prayer and other communications on loud speaker. Didnt seem to occur after late night though. Some fixtures broken and window frame broken.

The airport shuttle was waiting for us when we arrived from our flight, which was nice. The room was small, but the bed was pretty comfortable. The staff warned us about the calls to prayer early in the morning, but they were so so loud and more frequent possibly due to it being Ramadan. This was very disruptive to our sleep after about 4 am.

Die unmittelbare Nähe zum Flughafen bringt natürlich Fluglärm mit sich, aber wir wollten hier keinen Erholungsurlaub verbringen

A perfect affordable place for an overnight layover - I was in Dar just for the night before catching a morning flight so I wanted something close to the airport. They picked me up and dropped me off for no additional charge, the room was very clean and the staff very friendly. I had A/C, internet, hot water shower and a restaurant so had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

- Gary (8/5): Good option if you’re in Dar for a night or so. - It’s convenient for a transit stay of a night or two, the free shuttle is great. (And needed, it’s actually very close to the airport but around the other side from the terminal entrances and it’s a BIG airport). After a slight misunderstanding they sorted out some extra hours and were very helpful. It’s next to the airport so expect plane noises. There’s not really any grocery stores nearby.

- Abigail (7/5): Overall, it’s a good value and location for pass-through travelers. - The hotel was close to the airport for my early departure flight, and the free shuttle from and to the airport was a great perk. No need to mess with a taxi! The desk staff were friendly, and the food from the on-site kitchen was excellent! I highly recommend the chicken biryani, and it was really convenient to be able to eat on-site rather than having to find a restaurant at night. The room was very clean, modern, and had everything I needed to get a shower and a couple hours of sleep between flights. It’s an airport hotel in a city of 7M people, so you need to have realistic expectations. If you want to actually sleep, bring earplugs and an eye mask. You will hear traffic noise, the mosque next door, and airplanes. There are windows over the doors so the hall lights shine into the room. Also, getting food takes a long time (it’s made from scratch) so consider ordering early or getting it sent to your room if you have a short turnaround time. All of that said, I still think it was a good value and I felt safe here as a solo traveler, so I would probably stay again.
