Michael (3/5): A shocking effort. Just a money making place with no concerns for the traveller. Will tell my friends - This is an old motel with some new facilities but …… No one to greet the weary traveller. Just a text with a code to get in. No one around in the morning. So impersonal. Pathetic The wifi does not work The TV is complicated. No instructions and no one available to ask. THE INFORMATION SHEET SAYS THERE ARE MEALS AT CLUB NEXT DOOR. NO MEALS HOWEVER ON A MONDAY WHEN I STAYED. The reviews that you showed spoke of the delicious meal at the club next door which was obviously an enticement to stay there. The only meal available in the town was a pizza from a mobile oven on the back of a truck.It was inedible Trucks came through my room all night. Needed to change gears just there.

No contact whatsoever with staff. I felt that being in a prevalent Apple growing area , and The Apple Inn, there would be emphasis or something related to apples.. but there was nothing.

Staff were friendly and professional. I also loved the keyless entry into the room, was so convenient not having to worry about losing a key! Walking distance to all the key places near by!

Dianne (4/5): Staff are great but far too many things broken or malfunctioning to make for a comfortable stay. - The staff are a credit and always friendly and helpful. The location is central to all in the town. We had asked for a room we've stayed in many times before however the facilities and equipment is now so run down and malfunctioning that we had to ask to change rooms. Even though we know this place isn't a major money maker, the owners need to spend some serious money on the most basic of upgrades as its too far down for comfort now and clients are left feeling ripped off because of the tardy facilities. Things like glass sliding shower screens hanging off the runners is dangerous, and things like springs coming to the surface in the mattresses make for a horrendous nights sleep. Tardy curtains hanging off/broken in spots let in too much light, and brown water (clearly rusty) coming out of the hot water tap is both unhealthy and totally unacceptable. This was always outdated but since it was clean it was acceptable. But now most things are clean but unfortunately breaking which isn't. Batlow needs this accommodation and there are other alternatives.... please upgrade some of the basics or we will not be returning.

The process of booking etc was very easy though. There was a small services next door where we bought a very good meal, an IGA about 150 metres away , a small cafe called Pippins nearby . A very pretty little place fr an overnight stay . Nothing really .
