- Dorina (10/5): Lovely spot and great staff! - Friendly staff: Melana checked us in and was very accommodating and friendly. Serge, also in reception, was equally helpful. Lisa at Mimi’s had the most beautiful smile. She was extremely friendly and a very hard worker. The views, the room, the property is lovely. Very relaxing! Only one thing, it was a rainy day on our second day here and we came back for a late lunch after driving the island. We caught happy hour, but the “snacks” left a lot to be desired. A ham and cheese sandwich and fries were all that they had. A meat and cheese platter would have been preferred and very easy to prepare.

- Guest (10/5): Beautiful bay stay - Amazing hotel- love the quiet location and beautiful bay. No shared walls was lovely for privacy and minimal neighbor noise. Immaculately clean, plenty of towels and very comfortable beds. The little on site restaurant had surprisingly delicious food- surprising only because it’s really the only food option nearby and it doesn’t have to be as good as it is but it just goes above and beyond. The staff from front desk to bistro were all wonderful. I left my purse on property (ugh!) and the staff has been amazing coordinating with me to get it back. 10/10 all around.

Beautiful breakfast, lunch and dinner at the property. You can also walk to the neighbouring resort for food. Beach wonderful to swim at. Definitely recommend! Nothing!

- Kenigsztein (10/5): Beautiful and secluded hotel, with super friendly staff! - We had a wonderful stay at Tara's Lodge. It's nice and quiet and away from the old town. You can still walk which is great, but there is still great things to see and do nearby. We especially enjoyed the secluded beach and friendly staff. Only thought is distance. It is about 45 minutes to walk to old town, otherwise a taxi is about 15 Euros.

- Juliet (9/5): - Second visit and it was the highlight of our summer, my sun loving teen daughters and I love this place for a relaxing break. It is so lovely to be able to pop down to the beach and fab to have space in an apartment, easy and not too expensive to get a taxi into Korcula old town for a change of seen and lots of places to eat. Perefect for those who enjoy a small hotel environment. It is a tiny bit at the pricey end of things for a place of this size but it makes for a very relaxing break for a few days. Would be lovely if they also had a gym, but you can always swim in the sea or pool and opportunity to padle board.

- Louise (8/5): Pleasant location with clean modern apartment - 2 bed apartment with balcony - nice size for family of 4 with 2 teens. Spacious, modern and very clean. Nice view from master bedroom. We were aware the property is 3 miles or so from the town so we’re prepared to accept taxi fares (15e each way) as we didn’t have a car. However the location was a good compromise as clear water for swimming from the small ‘beach’ area with complimentary bean bag style sun beds. There’s an inflatable sea assault course a short walk away which children enjoyed a couple of times for 10e each for 30 minutes. The property has paddle boards (18e for 2 for an hour). Small grocery shop short walk away. Korcula old town has a nice atmosphere with plenty of restaurants. The bistro is where breakfast is served. It’s a small buffet selection of fruit, bread, croissants and hot food cooked to order. It’s ok but found staff, although seemingly numerous, indifferent to us. On each of our 4 mornings we had to constantly approach staff for service and they seemed unengaged.

We stayed in 10 different places during our trip all over the Balkans and this was by far the best service we had. The food was excellent, too. Breakfast was fantastic, we had dinner one night there too and weren’t disappointed. The room we booked was a “sea view” room but we were on the ground floor behind the restaurant. This meant that we’d have to stand up outside of the room to actually see the bit of sea, and it wasn’t very private, as our patio was on the main path of all guests and staff coming and going from the beach and restaurant.

Beach is nice, if you do not feel like looking for more secluded places. Price and quality ratio did not fully convince, however, the sea view and broad offered facilities are admittedly great.
- Steve (9/5): - Location is clearly one of the best on the island. The sea and scenery on that particular cove are truly breathtaking and you can quite easily spend all day there. We felt likenwe couldn't stop taking pictures. The sea is so calm and perfect for swimming and paddle boarding whuch can be rented from the lodge. Staff were all great and very helpful. Apartment is what you would expect too. The only downer was the price. This is quite clearly a premium priced hotel and we would have expected things like the apartment and the breakfast spread to be premium quality which I wouldn't quite say it was. Clearly the price is based on that particular location and the sea cove rather than the hotel itself.

- Sebastien (8/5): Simple, clean, recent beachfront boutique hotel 10min from old town - I booked this hotel as the ones in the centre seemed a little tired. The rooms were clean, tidy and minimalist, white beach lodge style. The hotel is right on the waterfront. The bay in front of hotel is huge and very well protected from the winds, it's almost like a little lagoon, however when I was there the water was not the clearest in comparison to other places I swam in Croatia. I would recommend this for families with kids. The weather turned one night and I had dinner the beach restaurant, the food was good. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It is a short 5-10 min drive to the old town. I paid 15 euros each way by taxi at anytime of the day or night, or 25 euros by taxi boat. It doesn't seem like much but it does add up after a couple days. It was a little short on shower gel with the mini toiletry bottles. My room's windows faced the path to the beach and restaurant which means it lacked privacy as people kept looking in when walking past.

- Sophie (9/5): Superb - Tara's Lodge has the most stunning scenery set overlooking a gorgeous bay. I have never seen such clear blue sea in Europe! It is really something special. There is a nice chilled vibe here and is the perfect place to spend the day on the small beach taking in the gorgeous views and dipping into the water. Lots of other guests opted to rent paddle boards as well. The restaurant attached to the hotel is called Mimi's and we had some delicious meals there. Tara's Lodge is about a ten minute drive from Korcula old town and costs €15 in a taxi. It is definitely a much more relaxed area and has a supermarket and other beach bars within walking distance. The staff were extremely attentive and on hand to help with any requests. The only thing I would mention is that I think the photos on booking.com made it look like the swimming pool looks out onto the beach. The swimming pool area is quite small and does not have any of the amazing views. That is not the hotel's fault, just something I thought was worth mentioning!

It’s just a few minutes by car taxi to the old town or for something more unique catch a water taxi instead. I really loved having a quiet coffee and early morning swim at the beach. You get a lot of extras apart from the room when you stay here sunbeds and facilities by the sea are all free for guests. There is a beautiful breakfast thrown in to the price of the room that we really enjoyed and the staff Were really attentive. We were on our own as a couple but we noticed how kindly the staff treated guests with children particularly. The quality of some of the aspects of the room left a bit to be desired given the price point of this accommodation. The bed was average quality at best for example and the television was overcomplicated with intermittent Wi-Fi at times

We also like that the hotel was a little further out of the town as it was nice and quiet, however we did have a car and may have been difficult if we hadn’t. Beds were a little soft and we personally found the coffee to not be great.

The balcony is lovely. The whole hotel has been very well thought through with beautiful grounds. The restaurant area is lovely, by the beach and serves very good food. Thoughtful and friendly staff. The bed was a little soft for our taste. The policy of only offering bottled water at the restaurant is really not environmentally friendly.

You need a car or scooter to get around as there isn’t much around to walk to but otherwise the cove is perfect for relaxing and swimming in the sea. Food was also good - maybe could have been better for the cost but it wasn’t bad, it was fine. The bedrooms were quite basic decor, and the bed wasn’t that comfortable in my opinion.

Prior to our arrival we communicated with the staff and advised them that we would arrive "after hours". The staff arranged for our room to be open for us and they notified the on-sight restaurant to expect our late arrival. We arrived and found the room was ideal and that the restaurant was able to accommodate our meal request. The view from our room was perfect. The beach was a small area, but adequate. The office staff was genuinely interested in assisting us with our visit to Korcula and they offered suggestions for points of interest to visit and best routes to travel. We have no complaints about Tara's Lodge. Our stay was wonderful

- Belinda (10/5): I loved the beautiful view over the turquoise cove - The location and the the modern building were excellent. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The master bedroom had no en suite and no place for luggage.

- Rhiannon (8/5): Very good - Lovely location by the water, I upgraded to a superior room with sea view and it was very nice. Perfect for a relaxing, quiet break. It is quite far from the town - 50 minute walk or 5 min taxi. It was expensive to hire bikes/car on the Island so not the best location if you wanted to visit the local town regularly for dinner etc. I was there in April and local restaurants near the hotel had not opened and there was a limited menu available at the hotel.
- Megan (10/5): Beautiful secluded beach and ultimate comfort - Tara’s lodge is in a beautiful location with its own secluded beach area. The loungers on the beach were amazing and close to the bar. The room was modern, clean, comfortable and the balcony space was a great touch. The staff were lovely and attentive and sorted our taxi transfers to and from the ferry port - even with an early check out. We rented a paddle board which was a great activity and it was reasonably priced to rent for an hour. We are aware that we travelled to Tara’s lodge during the low season however the options were limited at Mimi’s bar. Mimi’s is an amazing place to have dinner and drinks.

- Stephanie (8/5): Very good - Lovely boutique hotel, in a secluded cove - views are amazing ! Breakfast in Mimi's bar was great, good selection and quality. The hotel is remote and you have to rely on Mimi's bar for lunch and dinner. Food there was avarage and not great value for money. I appreciate we were very early in the season so probably difficult to do fresh and varied meals for so few customers. Your other option is Korcula old town, but as was said in other comments, be prepared to spend 30€ for the return trip. My last comment would be around blankets - there were no blankets in the room, and no heating in the leaving room - I appreciate most customers won't need the extra blanket, but it was really cold when we went there, and it would have been a plus.
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional - As it was low season we were lucky to be upgraded to a superior sea view room and had a fantastic view of the bay. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. Communication with the manager of Tara’s Lodge was very efficient helpful. Nothing!

You actually had to walk really slow not to bang your head on the TV while navigating around hard corners of the bed base. And we are normal size fit people too! Maybe more expensive rooms are better designed but our room was terrible.

- Samantha (9/5): Relaxing, beautiful waterside apartment (one of only three) with dedicated pool and private decking - The Stowaway Suites were set apart from the main hotel. Just around the bay. It was perfect for us. Quiet but with easy access to the hotel restaurant when needed. It was a fair way out of town which suited us on this occasion but perhaps not for everyone. A beautiful outlook. A very special few days. No inside table for eating. No problem in the summer months but in the shoulder season it was a small issue. We managed by eating on our laps. And of course we didn’t do major catering. But it’s just one thing I would suggest.
- Linda (8/5): Nice, right on the water. Quiet. If you want to get away from the bustle of old town, it’s a good place to go - Rooms were nice and breakfast was good. We didn’t realize how far away from everything it was. (15 minutes by taxi). We spent $90 euros getting back and forth.

- Johanna (10/5): One night is NOT enough! Beautiful hotel with wonderful views and helpful, friendly staff. - I booked one night, as a treat for the end of our stay in Croatia. I had high expectations but our room didn't disappoint, it was a good size with a wonderful view of the ocean, the bed was very comfortable too. Beach towels were provided, which was useful. The best thing were the hotel staff. The Receptionist was very helpful, she organised a taxi's for us when the ferry was cancelled due to the stormy weather! The restaurant was superb, especially the buffet breakfast, which was exceptional, with so much to choose from. The private beach wasn't sand but very fine shingle, with loungers and parasols to hire. The sea, like the rest of Korcula, was crystal clear and warm. The hotel setting was beautiful and peaceful so I wish we'd had longer to enjoy it all. I really hope to return one day when the weather is better too, so we can use the facilities fully. Sadly the pool wasn't heated and was very cold so I didn't go in. It was a shame we had to pay extra for loungers. The Mini bar in the room was very pricey, 4 euros for a twix was a bit over the top! The bathroom definitely needed more hooks to hang things on, especially if the weather is bad and you can't dry towels and swimsuits outside.
