• James (4/5): - The manager was very friendly and helpful, the view was great. The room had no tea or coffee machine, no electric kettle, no nini bar or safe. The bed was too soft, the wash room very small, with a shower stall in a corner, separated with only a shower curtain. Only one pillow was provided for each person.

• Ulf (8/5): - Magar war sehr freundlich und hilsbereit und auch das restliche Servicepersonal war sehr umsichtig. Dennoch sind Teile der Einrichtung on die Jahre kekommen und renovierungsbedürftig, insbesondere die Bäder.

• Lauren (6/5): Hasn’t been updated since the 60’s - Hotel is in much need of a complete refurbishment. If you get a balcony the view is incredible but the room is tired and old. Bathroom was dirty, grout in need of a good cleaning. Breakfast was lacking. More of a youth hostel than hotel.

• Shawn (10/5): - First, we loved Balestrand. One of the most beautiful areas in Norway. Our hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay. It is a smaller ‘boutique’ and family run hotel that provides very personalized service. We were able to do laundry and there is a guest kitchen if you want to prepare a meal. The owner and staff could not be more kind and attentive. The balcony views are incredible.
• Clark (10/5): - Very well managed property - wonderfully friendly and helpful front desk staff. Ate at restaurant two breakfasts and two dinners and all food was fresh, well prepared and very nice.

• Tore (8/5): Positiv opplevelse 👍 - Første besøk på Kringsjå hotel. Veldig positiv opplevelse ! Fin beliggenhet, flott rom med balkong og fin utsikt over fjorden. Sengene var glimrende - i motsetning til mange norske hoteller som har dårlige senger. Baderom rent. God frokost i en frokostsal med hyggelig betjening og god utsikt. Gode parkeringsmuligheter. Hyggelig vertskap ! Her kommer vi gjerne igjen.

Eneste "ulempe" er at det ikke er middagsservering på hotellet.Og ankommer man på ettermiddag/kveld,bør man ha spist før ankomst.Evt få bestilt bord på spisested i nærheten i forkant.
• Svein Arne (10/5): top notch - Vi ble tatt imot av en veldig hyggelig ansatt. Vi fikk i tillegg oppgradert rom. Koselige og rene rom. Fin utsikt! Veldig tommel opp, vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

• Jon (8/5): Koselig hotell - Et hyggelig fint opphold med hyggelig betjening i resepsjon og spisesal. Sengene ble redd opp hver dag, men gulvene ble ikke vasket. Rømningsplan var satt opp bak stuedøra! Der fant vi også lysbyter til taklyset.- Fantastisk utsikt fra balkongen til rom 304.
• Hamad (10/5): Top location - A wonderful old-school hotel, clean and safe. Very nice view from the balcony. Very fast check in and out, we staied one night only and that was great, super market nearby 1 minute walking and information office either. Will book again for sure.

• Steve (10/5): Balestrand - We have stayed in a lot of places, but for an amazing location, this is it. We had a 3rd floor balcony overlooking Sognfjorden, an absolutely gorgeous evening and great service. We will remember this place if we make it back to the area...one for the books.

Better than any restaurant in the town! The staff were really friendly and helpful with suggestions of things to do. The rooms were nice and modern even though some of the decor in public areas was a bit dated. Overall we had a great stay here.

• christel (8/5): Lovely hotel located in the heart of Balestrand - I had a nice one night stay. Good size room with a nice size balcony and view. Plenty of sitting areas in the room. The bathroom was small, but functional. The shower is only separated by a curtain which I was initially concerned about, but for a short stay it surprisingly wasn't an issue. The staff was very friendly and laundry facilities were nice to have access to. A little pricey compared to other similar hotels I stayed at in Norway.

• Verified traveler (10/5): felt like home - wonderful location, extremely helpful manager, delicious breakfast! We stayed 3 days and were sad to leave. Balestrand is a lovely, unspoiled village. It was a 2 minute walk to the heart of town. The manager was so friendly and gave us great advice. He even helped us straighten out a problem with a future reservation in another town. I highly recommend the Kringsjå!
• Teresa (8/5): - This is a cozy little hotel, just a short walk from the pier where we arrived on an express ferry. The staff were warm and congenial. The breakfast was delicious. Our stay was brief but we managed to experience the casual warmth of Balestrand, via our hosts.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice old hotel up on the hill. Nice view of the fjord while eating on the patio. Room was clean but old as all the hotels appear to be in balestrand. It was unusually hot while we were there and there is no air conditioning which is the case for most of Norway. With the windows opened it cooled off well at night. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was nice and helpful.

• K (10/5): Best family hotel in a little charming town - Exceptional hotel staff, clean, comfortable and historic. Be prepared for stairs upto 3 floors which is well justified with beautiful scenery and nice room with balcony.
• Laura (10/5): We had a balcony room with a great view! - Our balcony rooms had wonderful views. The breakfast buffet was great and we packed our lunches from the same buffet. We used the guest kitchen to make our dinners. It was nice to have a refrigerator to store foods that needed to be cold. The staff was more than great as they went out of their way to help whenever possible. The grocery store is within walking distance and the people at the visitor center, next to the grocery store, were very helpful.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Very good hotel in a beautiful town! - Overall I was pleased with this hotel. It is older, not as modern or updated as many places we've stayed, but it was fine. Service was excellent and the location was excellent, Balestrand is a beautiful and charming town. Breakfast was very good (had Norwegian waffles!). View from our room of the fjord was beautiful, location was central and convenient. There are no elevators. I'd say the most annoying thing (though we saw this at several other hotels in Norway) is that there is no divider between the shower and bathroom floor, so when you shower, the entire bathroom is flooded with water. Just got annoying to wade through a pond every time we had to use the bathroom after showering. Overall, though, I was pleased and I would stay here again.
