Guest Reviews
- Phyllis (2/5): Steer clear - Comeing home The smell of wet dog upgraded from csravan to chalet, should not have bothered, not very clean, like an old butlins chalet wouldnt have a shower ,being in our 70s frightened of falling ,when i asked for a room spray in reception to try kill smell ,was told well it is dog freindly,i love dogs and if looked after shouldnt smell, awful couldnt use cash card only really not everyone carries cards would not go back there if was free the entrrtainment was zilch stayed on other sites in devon but non as awful as that chalet overall shabby and not very clean
- Kevin (10/5): Would stay again - Clean and tidy friendly staff Just what we expected
- Laura (4/5): Won't be returning - The pool was nice and warm with friendly lifegaurds. The caravan had dog hair everywhere and smelled really bad of dog. I was itching and sneezing the whole time. So much dog fur. It was horrible.
Club house so far away from caravan we had to drive.
- sandra (10/5): - Everything Didn't like the fact that no cash was accepted in shop or club I'm only glad that I had my family there to pay for my bits of shopping
- Sieradzka (1/5): -
- Adriana (9/5): - Area, wild nature, away from city. No wifi, even we were willing to pay. Imposible.
- Kayleigh (10/5): -
- Kerry (7/5): Nice, would stay again. - Friendly staff, helpful. Drinks expensive in the club house.
No tablets for dishwasher, no washing up bowl or plug for the sink.
Dog mess outside of chalet. Cleaner cleaned the step to the chalet after removing some from the step.
- Angela (7/5): One owner no dog on lead shouting at it ,work men talking loudly till 1 o’clock in the morning - Didn’t have breakfast Very uncomfortable bed ,noisy neighbours left a day early ,nice area though

- Jamie (4/5): Cold - It was really cold the heating wasn’t merely hot enough couldn’t even dry a jacket on a radiator over night. Waking up shivering for the week wasn’t fun. The shower also leaked every time had a shower results floor full of water . Lot of the sealent has come away the shower walls and tray.

- Helen (10/5): - Accommodation was clean and comfortable N/A
- Eastwood (10/5): - We stayed in gold 3 bedroom caravan with our 2 dogs.
Was clean & beds made up on arrival.
Welcome box with good selection of tea, coffee etc
Entertainment for adults was great in clubhouse with different things on every night after Bingo
Food was great eat in or takeaway but better choice of desserts needed as we're only 2.
Was nice location in Brixham Bus right outside Campsite into Brixham Town centre No decking around caravan

- Laura (8/5): -
- Rebecca (10/5): - Lovely place ,beautiful accommodation immaculately clean .The staff are very friendly and hard working. Nothing everything was perfect
- stephen (2/5): - The whole chalet smelt of mould, The bathroom was smelling discusting, The swimming pool was supposed to be heated but was not. the inside was covered in mould. The only good thing about yhe place was the people who worked in the reception office.
- Helen (7/5): A nice holiday site for visiting Brixham - Clean and welcoming caravan Packed in, no view, a mission to find!
- James (10/5): Great break away. - It was convenient to go for coastal walks and the bus stop at the main entrance made it easy to get into town within 10 to 15 minutes although it doesn't take too long to walk into town. The site is excellent although as you drive into St Mary's road the building on the left has metal fences in the courtyard bit. It doesn't look particularly inviting as you enter the road. I doubt it is anything the site can control and despite that the site is lovely.
- Susan (6/5): Nice for a short break - The property was located by all of the facilities The decking hadn’t been cleaned and the blinds etc were very dusty/dirty.
When we went there was a limited menu and breakfast wasn’t available on the Saturday. They have changed the amusement arcade so that everything is a pound!
- Kellie (8/5): Great break - Relaxing, comfy & quiet great for the dog
- Michael (7/5): Unhappy and unsafe they rather let children go practice outside hotel at night - We booked as group for conference for our young people. They needed a space to practice for next day presentation. We normally do this yearly and booked every time at Holiday Inn without issue staff are usually accommodating, however with this place they different they didn’t let our young people use space at evening even it is not in used, so kids are practicing outside hotel at night in cold weather. Imagine we book more than 10 room of family. We’re around 40 people there.
- Hollie (3/5): - After coming back as we had our honey moon here 3 years ago we was saddened this time round The caravan was really dirty, we walked in to a horrible dog smell to which I found a dog bed in the boiler cupboard ( I thrown this out side it’s stunk and was filthy) dirt catches on sofa, carpet what looked like dog wee stains, toilet brush wasn’t cleaned, cooker, tv screen , caravan walls. Luckily I had bought my own cleaning supplies and gave everywhere a disinfect. Also it was windy whilst we was there and the tree needs cutting down the branch kept whacking onto the caravan roof which kept us up all night he branch is really heavy may wreck the caravan roof . As it is the end of the 6weeks I expect some dirt as they have been fully occupied but it was bad
- Paula (9/5): Nice short break. - I love the walks with my dog stunning. Did not enjoy the fish in restaurant unfortunately
- Darren (1/5): -
- lazaroiu (7/5): -
- Shane (4/5): Would not stay in this grade caravan again - It was ok Everything was dated.
Some things damaged and not clean.
- harmanpreet (10/5): -
- Gajanan alias vinay (6/5): - Location
- Hannah (4/5): -
- Martyn (3/5): - Location was good Caravan was the worst we have stayed in and majorally overpriced. Dirty utensils plates etc bathroom the shower door had a inch gap in the middle , basin units falling apart , i had to fix the shower head holder , was grubby.
- Adrin (5/5): Good location and good size accommodation, the only down side is the facility's. - Location Facility and access
cleanliness, shower room facility
Kitchen equipment's
- Linda (10/5): Short break away - South bay is in a excellent location. There are some lovely walks near by and in easy reach of Brixham centre . Drinks a little expensive in the club house . No healthy options on the food menu in the restaurant . Lots of weeds around the caravan G69. Which doesn't make the caravan look very inviting plus other caravans had weeds around
- Jagroop (8/5): Very good -
- Chloe (10/5): Great stay, thank you - We had such a wonderful holiday here, I honestly can’t think of a single thing I was disappointed with. Everything was just great, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Pogze (8/5): Very good -
- Caroline (8/5): For a short stay it was pleasant. - Clean comfortable. Exactly as stated on the website. There was nothing to keep the door in place when it was open. There had been something but it had been broken off.

- Hilary (8/5): Fabulous holiday park with beautiful dog walks - Beautiful presented caravan, in exceptional surroundings Bar prices too expensive
- Shepps (5/5): Disappointed - It was some where to stay Cleanliness in the bathroom. No smoking 🚭 labels
I was up graded without being informed prior to my visit as I called to ask previously for both double beds ie main bed & the double bed in the lounge for linen instead was given a 3 bed that would have been good for a family but not 2 adults not parteners which I did state when I called .so not impressed.
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb - Clean and well presented
- Joan (8/5): Value for money weather fantastic lovely staff nice central lovation - Lovely helpful staff
Nice location
Accommodation met our needs The clientele on site
We went over to the bar Friday night and was frightened and appalled by the behaviour of a small group of guest … The women’s language was threatening and aggressive and could not understand why they were not removed from the premises as children were in the club and as adults we found it upsetting
Did not visit again as did not want to experience such shocking behaviour… shame as we enjoy a friendly game of bingo
- Malcolm (8/5): basically loved the lot apart from wifi - We basically loved the lot apart from the WiFi, if we needed WiFi we at to walk down to the reception part.
with today's technology we rely on WiFi, would of been nice to talk or video family ect ect.
Oh we did also found the bed very uncomfortable, little hard, but i do suffer with back problems.
Apart from that everything was absolutely wonderful, me and my partner truly enjoyed how self's, the entertainment was really not that much, but i do understand from what peek season you choose etc.
Everybody at that camp was so friendly, and the security guys they were brilliant, always ask if you are ok and have a chat with you, they really made you welcome. Well done Lads. Thank you.
Would we go again? Yes definitely would love to come again but in a different peek season, but knowing we picked October season, it just didn't matter, it was a break for us both. And we are missing our little friend Mr Phantom Knocker (THE SEAGULL) the seagull kept knocking our caravan Door lol.
Thank you for giving us a wonderful holiday.
Regards
Malcolm & Vicky
- Abeywickrama (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cavan (8/5): Very good - Very nice break would come again
- David (10/5): Four nights went by too quick and we ate and drunk far too much in the great club and takeaway. 👌 - Great caravan. Great club. Great staff. Nothing.
- Warner (5/5): Passable - The caravan smelt of wet dog
- Gillian (10/5): Comfortable caravan on clean, peaceful site - Great welcome at reception, caravan clean and comfortable. Very quiet site but facilities there if you wanted them. Convenient for my coast path walks.
- Chloe (1/5): Terrible - Was not clean at all! Sofa had 1 leg so wasn’t straight, shower didn’t drain properly! Loads of dust on the floor in main bedroom
- Joanne (5/5): Passable - I liked the staff around the site, all helpful and friendly and polite.
The grounds are clean and kept nice.
Didn't use the clubhouse or the facilities, so cannot say what they are like.
Pet friendly which was a big yes for us. The bedding felt damp.
The caravan was a bit out dated the curtains had rips in and one window had 1 curtain.instead of 2,
But we made the most of it
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqui (4/5): Disappointing -
- Beedles (10/5): Another great stay - 2nd time, we have stayed on the site. 1st was in a chalet, which was great . This time in static caravan number 12. This was very spacious, very clean, and had everything you would need. Clubhouse and all staff were great and helpful 👍 Nothing
- Carol (10/5): The accommodation suited us as we only slept in it - It had all been refurbished from when we last went to your site The nets for a new refurbished property was rubbish except for the twin room plus it hadn’t been cleaned through properly dust down the side of the chest of draws and the small cupboard didn’t use the twin room but the heating wasn’t working the main room after the first night couldn’t get the heating back on the freezer hadn’t been defrosted the top shelf full of ice you should leave instructions of to work the heating and put labels in kitchen and bathroom telling people the water very very hot
- Michelle (6/5): Pleasant -
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (6/5): Pleasant stay for a short break in a beautiful location, but accommodation could be improved. - The location of the holiday park was lovely, and perfect for our requirements. The local area of Brixham is beautiful and we had a couple of lovely days out there. Brilliant for crabbing! It was good to have swimming pool facilities, playground and entertainment options on site, particularly with a small child. We ate at the on site restaurant a couple of times, and the food was fairly basic but tasty, Our caravan was very basic, which we expected to some extent. However, it was very cold in the mornings, and we couldn't get the heater to work. The oven was also very poor, so cooking for ourselves in the caravan wasn't easy. When we opened some of the cupboard doors they fell off at the hinges. None of the curtains were hung properly so every time you opened them they came down. If we had been staying for longer we would have reported these issues and hopefully had them resolved, but to be honest we were up and out of the door quite early most days and didn't have the time to wait around for issues to be sorted. So we just made do. It was fine for a short stay, but would have been a pain if we'd been there longer. The swimming pool area was a bit tatty, and didn't feel particularly clean. We only used that once as we found the water too cold!
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Michael (8/5): Nice place with great staff friendly and helpful - Nice spacious caravan for two couples. Good location about 1 Mike to get to the centre of brixham uphill coming back but not a problem Noisy at night as we are near the clubhouse but hey people are on holiday to have a good time
- Ian (10/5): Charming chalet - Chalet was very clean and had everything we needed, perfect position and we will definitely be returning Loved it all
- Sabrina (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (7/5): Good - Great location. Slight smell as you walk into caravan but you get use to it so not a huge problem.
- Asif (9/5): Will visit again 😊 - Amazing location
Provided requested site
Very cooperative and pleasant staff in the reception, two lady staff (on 16/08/2024 & 04:00PM) You have to tell the customers to control their pets(dogs) to be kept within their allowed premises.. I had to ask someone to take off the dog litter from right in front of my caravan..
- Janine (7/5): Good - Very friendly good entertainment for kids Not much for adults no recycling facilities
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional - A very well laid out site. Not over crowded. Clean and tidy. The caravan was clean and well equipped. Nothing not too dislike. If being picky, the van is showing signs of wear but thats all.
- Tabassum (10/5): Excellent facilities with very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay there and we will definitely book with them ag - Spacious, clean and very tidy Nothing negative to report
- Carlie (9/5): Great week away on a beautiful part of the country - Great location to access other areas .. beautiful views from the site. The beds were very soft but that is a personal preference. You can’t please everyone with the beds.
- Vanessa (7/5): Caravan Stay - It’s very clean
The staff are friendly
Plenty of parking spaces
Lovely food in the cafe
Shop is very well priced It’s quick an away out from places and the roads are narrow .
- Maxinell14 (8/5): Lovely location but could do with better evening entertainment - Beautiful location
Spacious caravan with everything you needed
Plenty of linen
The play park for kids was lovely The single toilet was so tiny you couldn't move to wipe your bum!
The entertainment wasn't great
Amusement arcade was pointless
- Bennetts (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beedles (10/5): Great stay and have already booked again for September - Very comfortable chalet, great local bus to town right outside the site. Good club house and facilities Nothing all was great
- Philip (10/5): We will be coming back in the near future. - Location was excellent caravan was clean spacious and very comfortable and nice location on park. everything was spot on
- Emma (7/5): Good - Loved the feel of the park quiet and peaceful but also enough for kids to do Pool heater was broken
- Sally (5/5): Cheap accommodation, not as nice as we where hoping - Excellent location with beautiful beach on the coastal path attached to the holiday park St marys Bay, so we spent our days exploring Brixham. We were in a silver rated chalet, which felt bronze/value at best. It was good value for money as i think we picked a particular cheap weekend but also not particularly clean. The kitchen floor was sticky on arrival, and there was mould/mildew in the shower room. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, and the linen did not fit the duvets provided. The pool was also filthy. Mouldy patches and bugs all in the water. The chalet also was not cleaned very well at all as there were bits of dirt and crumbs on the floor.
- Emily (8/5): Lovely place to stay. - Lovely location, comfortable, clean caravan, nice park
The closest beach is about a 15 min walk away and absolutely beautiful.
- Angie (9/5): Superb - The cafe was brilliant. The food was delicious. The staff were lovely.
The caravan overall was good for the price. The bed was very comfortable. The wardrobe was large. Having a three bedroom caravan took away my side of the bed. One of the windows in one of the children's bedrooms didn't shut at the bottom.
- Sam (8/5): Very good - Close to Brixham harbour We had a lot silver fish in the chalet from the very wet damp wall in the living room . No apologies and nothing done . External Entertainment wasn’t suitable dressed for children .
- Kristy (2/5): Never again. - It was very unclean. Extremely outdated & the beds had all the paint falling off of them. Curtains were falling down or ripped. Bathroom mat was gross and every room had a different (not very nice) smell.
