• William (10/5): Lovely island - Lovely island. Didnt see enough of it as working. I had a 5 night stay in hotel and everything was just great. Food choice and portion sizes were top notch. You won’t leave your table hungry.

• Grant (4/5): Fix the Fickle Furnace First - Caring staff make up for shortage of heat on the floor. Impossible too-hot-too-cold-too-little water pressure of shower during cold, wet,rainy weather conditions. Very good food,kitchen&bar staff, though. The owners need to spend the night in my room then get-it right, for the money transacted. Excellent breakfast.Wouldn't take my girlfriend here for the night, but I'd bring my mom for supper any day of the year.
• Brian (10/5): - What had a wonderful stay at the tiree lodge , the staff Fiona and Jacqueline just couldnt do enough for us . The weather turned awful on our 2nd day , that made us change the plans we had as we were on bikes . Fiona let us use her car so we could travel round the island ( how wonderful of her) . Our ferry home was cancelled and Fiona was so pro active to make sure we had accommodation , as the tiree lodge was full. There is a few things needing done to the accommodation , but for us it was absolutely fine, beautiful views, very clean and such comfy beds . Can't fault anything . Thank you fiona and Jacqueline xx

• Marjory (6/5): Tiree Lodge - Tiree Lodge good location in Gott Bay. Breakfast good and staff lovely. Bathroom very small with awkward sink above toilet and not much water coming through shower.

Room is very clean has lots of storage, bathrooms is very nice too. could have only a drying rack or a cord, which I remember had in other room I stayed on the year before it’s would be helpful. I love this hotel the staff is also very friendly.

We have both had covid despite having 4 vaccinations. Definitely not to be recommended. Room not serviced. This hotel is a real health hazard.

• Verified traveler (8/5): At least the food was very good - The food at Tiree Lodge is extremely good. A good choice of food with a couple of changes to the menu every night. Both dinner and breakfast served piping hot. Unfortunately the room wasn't that great. Very lumpy mattress, no pillow protectors on pillows. The carpet needed a good hoover especially around the edges and under the bed. My wife dropped an earring and had to look under the bed for it, found an old style £1 coin. How many years have they been out of circulation?? As for the bathroom, the dust on the extractor fan was quite disgusting and don't know when the shower head was last cleaned! The price was cheap for a double room but you still expect basic cleanliness.
• Susanne (6/5): - Fantastic location, meals very good, staff were friendly and helpful. Disappointed by many aspects of the hotel, couldnt open some of the windows as they were sealed and taped up. Bedroom furniture in need of repair, good shower but wasnt clean. Tap in basin wasnt fixed to sink properly. Window sills in restaurant not cleaned, covered in flies during our stay. Outdoor furniture broken too. Electrical equipment in room didnt have up to date PAC test. In summary this hotel is in a wonderful location with good staff but it needs modernising and above issues rectified. This property has lots of potential and could command a higher premium if given some tlc.
• Jeffrey (10/5): - The property is in a fantastic location with a nice dining room and separate bar area. The hotel does need some maintenance but its fantastic location and friendly staff more than compensated for this and the room rates were very reasonable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The manager went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome during our stay and even gave us a lift to the airport. I would definitely stay again.

• Linda (10/5): Tiree lodge hotel - Hotel has a great location and view across Gott Bay is beautiful. It’s a very relaxing place to stay and you are made to feel very welcome by the staff. It’s a great base for a visit to Tiree.
• Veronica (4/5): Had a rotten time - I was so looking forward to this trip , I've never been so disappointed in my life. There is no taxi service on the island, it says on website there is, the dial a bus finishes at 6 pm our flight got in at 10 past. Luckily a lovely girl called Jackie from the sister hotel came and picked us up, reception at tiree Lodge was, i think it was the chef gave us a key told us our room was up the stairs. Room had fantastic view of got bay, and that was all, no cupboard to hang clothes, lumpy bed, hole in wall . Every meal on the mains menu included frozen chips, not a vegetable in sight, this hotel is not worth £100 a night it's more of a working man's lodge. It states on website the rooms are streamlined that's a joke. The corridors are so dark could hardly see to put key in lock. Afternoon tea doesn't exist, it's a lunch menu with burgers and chips, fish and chips, scampi and chips, all from farm foods by the looks of it. Give this hotel a wide berth iff you're coming to tiree. We will not be back ever
• Christine (8/5): - Tiree Lodge was a comfortable stay with good food , great seafood & friendly staff. Bar would have been more welcoming if fire had been lit at night as it was on only one evening of our 4 night stay. A few areas needing fresh decor.
• John (6/5): Tiree Lodge can be magnificent .. but lots of work - The location is unsurpassed in my experience. Staff were brilliant .. friendly, attentive and committed to service. Food was, mostly excellent .. BRilliant BRekkies and, with one exception, our dinner was 1st class .. but, a platter of very good looking langoustines were grilled to extinction. However, much work to be done .. the whole is in serious need of refurbishment/upgrade .. this might be a result of very difficult covid-days. With serious money invested, Tiree Lodge could command 50% higher room rates. That sort of makes sense .. BUT (and again, to be kind, it became clear that the island is struggling to get manpower.) lack of cleanliness is more difficult to excuse. Fortunately, beds were spotless and fresh but bathrooms were another story grimy sealant around showers and the shower head was pretty awful. A clean, well adhered, shower mat would also be a leap forward .. the inadequate texture in the shower tray was nowhere need reliable enough for those less numble. Kettle interiors had to be thoroughly cleaned before making a cuppa .. and, hanging space in one of our rooms was, in its entirety, one very dodgy plastic hanger suspended from the wooden curtain pole. I realise this will sound harsh .. BUT, the owners need to get their establishment sorted out .. bathroom cleanliness first followed by some clever refurbishment .. AND, Tiree Lodge can become world class!

• R&C (6/5): - Hotel is approx 4 miles from the ferry terminal.We arrived on the pre booked bus and found the Hotel had lots of outside space and wonderful sea views. Staff are friendly. We found our room to be to small for 2 people kept bumping into furniture/eachother heating wasnt adequate bathroom was cold as was room felt we over paid for what was on offer breakfast was good. Beware if you do not have transport and you need to catch ferry on a Sunday there is no bus/taxi available as they do not run on this day
• ANN (10/5): Tiree short escape. - Fantastic location with stunning views. Great freshly cooked food and excellent service all staff friendly efficient and attentive.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel requires extensive upgrade - Room was very small for the money and it was very tired. The bedding could have been cleaner as well as the bathroom. The door on the shower was broken and kept falling off. The bedside lamp was faulty so we never used it. Overall, the hotel has definitely seen better days. Staff however were very friendly.
