Guest Reviews
- Thomas (10/5): Get away from it all! - Brilliant stay. Not too far from the airport if you have a car but feels like a million miles away from Lisbon, perfect if you want to get away from it all. Great base if you want to visit the beaches in the south/west. We really appreciated the breakfast. In the middle of the national park - we saw animals every morning. Hosts we first rage and couldn’t do enough for us.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is located in middle of nowhere. You need a car. Food is limited. Roads very steep, narrow. Good for a retreat away from everything. Not central. Our Uber driver had to ask directions twice and cell/map quest difficult.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Mit viel Liebe und Können dekoriert und gestaltet. Gute Betten, total ruhig: habe traumhaft geschlafen.
- HOI YIN SANDY (8/5): Nice Old style guesthouse - Guesthouse itself is old decoration castle style, Room is big enough, toilet is a little bit dark, but everything is very clean, a little bit difficult to find their location, few mins drive in a poor/narrow/ sloppy path, for us we don’t get use this kind of road, quite scary, no restaurant nearby, need walk up to the road around 10 mins for a cafe, then other restaurant at least need to walk 20-25 mins (specially after dinner, no street lights) but can dinner in hotel, not bad and very reasonable price (@€25 incl 1/2 btls wine, soup , main courses, dessert, coffee/tea), all staffs are very nice & helpful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Solitude and comfort. Very nice place to refresh. Very reflective and inspiring.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing nature and location, a place to relax the soul.
- CBGM (10/5): - Hotel dans un site exceptionnel et à la décoration exceptionnelle.
Adresse mémorable mais impossible pour personnes handicapées (marche + escaliers )
- Jenny (10/5): Excellent small hotel - Beautifully restored and furnished small hotel . Very quiet. Great but unobtrusive service and extremely comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely quirky hotel - We only stayed for one night. The hotel is very quirky and interesting. Breakfast was delicious and we had a really good dinner near by. Some corners could do with a bit of TLC.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is one of the most charming, unique and soul-stirring places I have ever stayed. The Convent provides a heady dose of old-world charm mixed with modern amenities. A lovely building and beautiful setting stimulates the imagination. Everyone on staff was gracious and welcoming. I’ll be dreaming of these walls for years to come.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Acces difficile a trouver route pour cinducteur chevronnés mais tres bel endroit
- Laurianne (8/5): Unusual hotel! - This is an unusual hotel in a secluded location. The staff are amazing especially Chem who couldn’t do enough for us. The grounds are beautiful and the overall condition of the building is great.
- Ellen (10/5): Quirky, lovely, comfortable - well worth it! - Amazing location for the able bodied as there are stairs between every public room. We had a fabulous time and opted to eat dinner at the hotel both evenings. The road down is steep and winding. We were quite anxious as we approached. At first, when we saw the goat, goose and duck, I thought we were heading into a commune. What a lovely surprise, and relief, to enter a wonderful and quirky building. The decor and setting is unique and lovely. The service and food were also great.
- Maria (8/5): Nice hidden place for resting - The Convent was very nice and the staff was also nice. The dinner is served with every guest in one table, food was good and same as the breakfast. We were in the rooms outside the main house, has better view but you don't have WiFi and it was cold to go between your room and the main house. was a good experience. I wish the swimming pool was heated.
- Verified traveler (8/5): No volvería.
